Apartment holiday rentals in Makarska

What a find - this apartment in Makarska was spotless and within a few hundred yards of the beautiful beach and the start of many restaurants and bars. It was on the fourth floor (with a lift) and had some local parking and a private space 5 minutes walk away if needed. Great views of the mountains and the sea and despite being on the main road it did not matter as it was not too busy and not noisy at all. Air con in the main room and a feisty fan in the bedroom if needed. We were met by the host and given more information than we could digest. He recommended a number of local restaurants which we investigated and, on the whole, they were fantastic. Great steaks at Ranc, excellent fish at Bura, and the food and service at Diva was divine. 2 minutes walk from a bakery for take out breakfast and fresh bread - shop within 5 minute walk. If we return to Makarska, we would not hesitate to stay in the same apartment. Thank you to our hosts for their communication and assistance :)

We were very kindly received by Sani, she showed us the accommodation as well as the underground parking space, water and coffee were available. The apartment was very clean and modern, nothing was missing. There is a small supermarket within walking distance, and the beach is 20 minutes away on foot. It takes 5 minutes to get to the harbor and the old town, restaurants, cafés and bars invite you to linger. We were at Sani for 12 days, there was a complete cleaning after half, incl. Bed linen change and fresh towels. The apartment is air-conditioned and has a seating area on the terrace. Everything was lovingly furnished and we felt very comfortable. Sani responded very quickly and competently to questions. Very happy to come back.

Ivana's apartment is a paradise where you can leave all your worries behind. Relaxing in the jacuzzi and watching the sunset with this beautiful view is incredible! This apartment has everything you need (including towels, bathrobes etc.). It was very clean and tidy. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary amenities. Another great feature of this apartment is the grill near the roof terrace. We really enjoyed cooking dinners there and enjoying the sea view while eating. You can also park your car on the premises, so you don't have to worry about finding a parking space. Thanks to Ivana, our stay was relaxing and carefree. She is always active and responsive. Sandra was a fantastic Host. The place was pristine, and the location was close to the beach. We had multiple swims and enjoyed staying in a brand new apartment that had all the amenitites. The location is brilliant as it is good for families and couples. It is also a wonderful place to write which I did. The views from the apartment are of the sea - which is so restful. I would definately stay here again - however, from NZ it is a long way! Thanks for the lovey place Sandra Claire

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! The apartment is situated in a peaceful and quiet area, with a mall and a Lidl within walking distance. It’s also only about a 10-minute walk to the beach and port, with some beautiful hikes in the nearby mountains. The place itself is exactly as shown in the photos: new, well-lit, and with a luxurious feel. I found it to be impeccably clean, and the bed was super comfortable, which really helped me settle in quickly. The apartment is also very quiet, located on the top floor with great soundproofing, and it has a lovely view from the balcony. Matteo was a fantastic host—he responded quickly to my questions and even recommended some nearby laundry options, which was very helpful. While the Wi-Fi was a bit finicky at times, it didn’t impact my overall experience. Overall, I think this place offers excellent value for money, given the luxury, location, and convenience. I had a great time and highly recommend it!

If I could put 6 I would do that. Amazing, clean apartment with everything you need. Towels, bags, washing powder, dishwasher capsules and ect. The kitchen is very well equipped. Everything in apartments stylish and beautiful. For the first time in a rented apartment we slept on comfortable mattresses 😅 Terrace with a view is another love 💔 the only minus is that if you are going for the sea, the beach is a bit far to walk and you have to go uphill to get back. But if you like cardio or you have a car, it's not a problem at all. Plus from this apartments area you can get to the most beautiful beaches

Makarska is an enchanting little town, beautiful old town, a lively harbor town, fine cafes, magnificent beaches and encountable, open people. The shopping is perfect, even a daily small farmer's market with fresh fruit and vegetables and all kinds of delicious homemade products. We enjoyed it!

We had a fantastic stay! The host was incredibly helpful and came to pick us up from the bus station, making our arrival stress-free. The view from the balcony was absolutely breathtaking, making our evenings extra special.

Our vacation in Pisak was wonderful, also due to the beautifully located apartment. Several small beaches are immediately and quickly accessible on foot. They were not very frequented and surrounded by beautiful rocks and trees. Simply fantastic. The water was crystal clear and shimmered turquoise blue. The apartment was very clean and well maintained. There was also no shortage of necessary equipment. Mario surprised us with a plate of ham and cheese and a bottle of wine. Thanks to the air conditioning, the temperatures were fine at night, you should just make sure to always leave the door to the bedroom wide open, as the device is in the hallway. A mosquito net is only on the bedroom window, a mosquito door to the balcony, would be a small suggestion. It was an unforgettable stay that we can only recommend!

Great place to stay! Very clean and everything worked well. The kitchen was well-equipped and also included a dishwasher. The location is great also for those who do not have a car, within approximately 500m there is a beach, sportscenter, boulevard with plenty of restaurants, shopping mall etc. Sandra was very friendly and everything was easy and smooth to arrange with her!

We had an amazing stay at this apartment and loved everything about it! Great walking distance to the beach, town and shops. The apartment has amazing views (worth the stairs) and was very spacious/modern. The hosts were very responsive and helped us when we got there to check in. Highly recommend if you’re looking to stay in Makarska!

Me and my three friends had the pleasure of staying at Antonia’s place for a week. It looked exactly like the photos and exceeded our expectations. The pool was amazing, the bedrooms cozy and the kitchen and living room perfect for cooking and socializing. Antonia was very responsive and always responded quickly to any questions that I had. The only unrelated downside that tourists might not expect is the extremely steep uphill climb to reach the airbnb. by car it is no problem, but when walking back (only 15 minutes from the beach) can be quite the workout . Nonetheless, I would definitely return and recommend anyone to stay here.

Even before we arrived at the apartment, Jovica had sent us a clear instruction to enter the apartment. She had also already let us know that the swimming pool would not be available due to renovation and therefore offered us a financial fee. Questions we had about the apartment were answered quickly by Jovica. Upon arrival the apartment was left clean and cared for us. The balcony of the apartment is in the shade so you can sit there comfortably for dinner or a game in the afternoon. The only thing we missed during our stay was a coffee maker, but with a supermarket opposite the apartment that was not a big problem. We definitely recommend this stay!

Blanka is so helpful and very nice, House is so clean and modern.

Very friendly hostess, is very accessible and has many tips on the area. The apartment is easily accessible by following the host's exact instructions. The approach is steep and best managed by car. The view was as shown in the pictures... indescribably beautiful... the apartment was a little warm on arrival... the air conditioning had a little trouble cooling... with the patio door open, we were able to sleep. The apartment can't be darkened much darken... otherwise great, would go again.

Loved our stay in Makarska. The apartment was the perfect location for walking into the old town and marina for evenings, and exploring different beaches by car in the day. Lovely view from the balcony, extremely quiet and very comfortable beds. Would recommend.

We enjoyed our stay in this apartment, spacious balcony area perfect for a family outdoor dinner and relaxing in the hot tub. Easy walk into the old town - about 15 minutes. Marina provided clear check in instructions and recommendations on restaurants which we tried out and enjoyed! If you’re looking for a quiet place to stay and unwind after a busy day exploring then you should definitely stay here.

Josips place was great! The apartment was safe and comfortable. The terrace with the hot tub was great for evenings relaxing and taking in the views. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Split!

We had a wonderful time at Marinas apartment in Okrug Gornji! She was great at communicating with us and making sure we had everything we needed😊 The apartment was the right size for the three of us on a girls trip. The pool was amazing, clean and a great place to spend the day! There are many beaches nearby and restaurants!🏖️🍽️🍹

Amazing hosts. Father met us on the street and showed us in. Views are amazing. This is the top floor and feels like a penthouse. Hot tub was a nice touch!

We had such a wonderful stay at Zvonimir’s place in Podstrana! The home was beautiful, clean, and had an absolutely stunning view, the kind you don’t forget. Zvonimir and his family were exceptional hosts: kind, welcoming, and genuinely thoughtful. One of the highlights was receiving some delicious homemade treats that made us feel right at home. Everything about our stay exceeded expectations, and we’d absolutely come back again. Highly recommend!

Beautiful villa. Clean and well organised apartment. Spacy and with lovely view on west: beach and Adriatic Sea. Every day you can watch sunset directly from the beach just in front of villa or from your balcony. Every morning you can enjoy having breakfast with the sound of waves gently washing stones on the shore. Hosts are very kind and caring. You cannot see them here and there watching out and chatting with neighbours and guests. The place is directly at the promenade, on its calmer end. On the promenade you’ll find choice restaurants and bars to spend evenings.
