With decks on both northern and southern sides you can enjoy outdoor dining most days. Opoutama beach is a lovely sandy beach; great for young children & only a short walk away through the reserve. Opoutama store is a handy 10min walk away. Minimum 3 night stay over long weekends. Linen can be arranged for an extra charge ($75 for complete houselot).

Starboard Retreat

Welcome to our unique hexagon-shaped bach in the heart of Mahia! Originally built for the America’s Cup Village, this spacious three-bedroom retreat is less than a 300 metre walk from the beach, boat launch, pub, and sports courts. Buckets, spades, boogie boards, basketballs, tennis rackets and tennis balls are provided. Plenty of parking for your boat. In the winter, stay warm by the woodburner (wood provided). Lots of board games, DVD's and books too. We look forward to hosting you.

Mahia holiday home

Very spacious holiday home with uninterrupted breathtaking views. This stunning home captures fabulous morning sunrises and views over to Gisborne and the east coast. Plenty of extra space in the 2nd house for those larger group bookings. Large lawn area fit for parking cars and boats. More lawn space for running around, outdoor games and barbecues. You are surrounded by Swimming, Surfing, fishing, diving spots and nice walks along the beach right at your doorstep!

Mahia Magic

Located 1 minute from the beach this cosy little cabin is perfect for your weekend away. Mahia Beach, Taylor’s Bay, the dairy, fishing club, Seaside Markets and Sunset Point Tavern are all within walking distance. The cabin has a little kitchen with a fridge, cooktop and microwave. There is also a BBQ located outside. Around the back is your own little bathroom with a shower and toilet. Come and check out all the beautiful Mahia Beach has to offer.

Opoho Coastal Farmhouse

Located on the Pacific Coast Highway, relax in the rural countryside of Opoho Station. This four bedroom, spacious Farmhouse is centrally located for a relaxing family holiday or action packed adventure. Fifteen minutes to Mahia Beach, and Morere Hot Springs. One hour to Lake Waikaremoana. Five minute walk to Opoho Beach, renowned for long-lining and surf casting. Vehicle access to beach front key provided upon request. Farm walks by arrangement.

Cormorants Cove Beach House.

Cormorants Cove is on the Mahia peninsula which is on the undiscovered east coast of the North Island of New Zealand. Cormorants Cove is sitting on the top of a cliff with unimpeded views of Gisborne and surrounding beaches. Some of the best surf breaks are within 5 minutes drive and family friendly swimming beaches are just as close. This is the place to come to do absolutely nothing, but relax and soak up the sun and the views.

Sanctuary Lodge - Cabin 1

Get away from it all and re-energise yourselves. Mahia offers safe swimming, fishing and walks. The cabin is located in private bush setting, overlooking Mahia Peninsula and two bays. Cabin 1 can sleep a couple in a queen bed and one child under 7. It has recently been renovated, we are aiming for a comfortable, relaxing, and cosy feeling. We do offer reduced rates for more than one night's stay, please ask for prices.

Mahia Heights Beach Views

Our home is on an elevated site, with lovely views down to the beach and the bay, and is a short walk to the sand. The guest suite is situated at one end of the house and comprises a bedroom, bathroom and a separate lounge room with its own private deck and entrance. The bedroom has a queen bed. Enjoy waking to the sound of the waves and the local bird life. Have breakfast on the deck while taking in the views.
