Comfortable, homely beach bach overlooking the ocean. The space has two bedrooms and open plan living area and kitchen. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN SHEETS AND PILLOWCASES. Duvets, blankets, pillows and towels provided. The undercover deck is the perfect place to relax and watch the waves. There is WIFI and a TV screen that has an HDMI port, or can be connected to Chromecast (no TV satellite). Tea and coffee (no milk). There isn't a shop at Ocean Beach but Havelock North is just a 20 minute drive away.

So close to the village, yet set in the countryside there are lambs in Spring and apple trees next door. Eggs are laid by our own chooks, bread, muesli and preserves are homemade. We'll suggest places to visit and restaurants if you want to dine out. Cool off in the pool in summer or take an expertly led yoga class! Take a trip to Hastings or Napier or walk the miles of tracks in Te Mata Park. Ocean Beach is just 15 minutes away and the Sunday Farmers Market just 10!

It can host 3 - preferably a small family - but more suited to a couple!

We had a fantastic family holiday here in Waimarama. The location is fantastic with stunning views. The house is very well equipped, kitchen with espresso machine, full laundry, even large screen TV with wifi for the rainy days (we only got one wet day!). Russell is a great host who is super friendly and responsive. Thank you Russell, we would book again!

What a wonderful stay we had at Elena’s place! It has a lovely spa and is just 2 minutes walk from the beach. The place was spotlessly clean and had all amenities required. Great quality sheets and towels too. It’s just so peaceful, cosy and serene, I would definitely recommend you choose Elena’s place if you need some rest and rejuvenation. Elena was very helpful and gave great recommendations. We are already planning when we’ll be back 🙂

Had the best stay! The view and everything about the house was just perfect. Spotlessly clean, beautiful decor and the comfiest beds and linen. Was an absolute treat for the kids to have the trampoline, and Briana and Ryan’s kids were so friendly too, they all played together. The hot tub under the stars was amazing, and Waimarama beach is wonderful too! Friendly and generous hosts, thanks so much, hope to be back!

Our second stay at Tiger House Hermitage this May was truly magical. Everything comes together here: the privilege of being on this land, the vistas that you won't find anywhere else in Hawke's Bay- breathtakingly beautiful, the seclusion, birdsong, history, old trees & the walk down through Arapata to reach Birdwoods gallery & cafe. Then there's the richly envisioned barn renovation- so unique, light-filled & spacious. The fun Plungee for a bracing dip in winter, & the old clawfoot bath to soak in under the stars- so many stars, the wood burners to keep the place toasty warm in the evenings. Lovely to see the growth of the plantings & the changes on this visit. A unique & special place with a rich story, that our lives have now woven through too. Thank you Woody for the magic.

The most magical location, views from bed through Toitoi and dunes to the beach, fabulous John Scott bach positioned for sun and tranquility- all you need for a great break and the linen is incredible!!!
