Farmstay holiday rentals in Madeira

We felt very relaxed and comfortable at Antonio’s lovely house and the garden and views were impressive. We appreciated the interesting features in the garden with its nature feel and enjoyed the pool and sauna which we thought was a real asset for the place. The house is interesting and cared about and Antionio was an excellent and helpful host. We were glad of the car we hired to access shops, restaurants, beach and walking areas as without one would be difficult but it suited us really well as 4 adults who wanted a base from which to explore Madeira.

Just back from a great stay! Photos of the accommodation didnt do it justice - the view from the balcony was absolutely beautiful. All the little things had been thought of (beach towels, coffee maker with filters etc) and the welcome pack of maderia wine, fruit and biscuits was really thoughtful. Our host was excellent at communicating and great at giving suggestions. We’ll be back!

Great house, looks even better in real life. Michael was a great host. I would definitely book again next time in Madeira.

It was a beautiful home with an amazing view off the back yard. We had a bit of trouble figuring out how to get into the unit because it was dark when we arrived and the unit is in/off the street a bit. It was a narrow road with older or abandoned homes. House was a bit musty with some mold in the bathrooms. There were some ants and centipedes in the unit but I think that may be typical. It was not worth paying extra to heat the pool with the rain - the temp of the pool still felt cold. Coach was a bit smelly and stained - but they had blankets over it. All in all I thought the price was amazing for what we got (aside from the pool)

This was a delightful place to stay. Very private and so many facilities for a small place. Beautiful views, swimming pool and honesty bar. A total hidden gem.

We loved the location and the location. Especially the place directly by the sea had delicious food, nice service and is preferable to any star restaurant. Perfect! 👌

The house is perfect. Only minus was the road renovation project, 2 times during our stay. To walk the dog nearby was a small problem, but driving further solved the problem. Veronica answered our questions promptly. Thank you for a good holiday. Small villages nearby are worth visiting, Ponta do Sol as well is very interesting.

The Airbnb is great, lots of outdoor space and a stellar view. It has everything you need to cook, and it has a lovely shower! The view from the bedroom is amazing. It's a good base to explore the island from. The road down is narrow and very steep, we didn't have a great car and it struggled to get up the hill, so we parked on the road above and walked the two minutes down to the Airbnb.

Quiet and beautiful location surrounded by banana plantations. Quiet region of the island, 40 minutes from the airport. Very easy access to Fanal Forest and walks in that region. Responsive host, very clean house, spacious with all listed amenities. Well stocked kitchen for cooking at home. We used the space as a home base to explore all region of the island and I would recommend the space for groups, couples or families to explore from.

The accommodation was clean and well-organized. If you're looking for a quiet place that's still not too far from the city, I definitely recommend it. Ana was very kind and helpful with us — we really appreciated it!

The gardens are absolutely beautiful and we loved interacting with the animals. There are a few other rentable units onsite, but we never had an issue with other guests as there are multiple areas to relax and unwind throughout the property. We were greeted immediately upon check in and provided with a traditional Madeiran wine tasting, as well as fruit from the farm. The bedding was comfortable, but the towels were very rough, however this is most likely due to stringent cleaning methods, so it was no real cause for concern or issue. Overall, the gardens were incredibly peaceful and calming and we were happy with our stay.

We stayed with two for a week in May. The house, in the heart of a peaceful orchard, is a haven of peace. The owner kindly allowed us to enjoy the products of the garden: fruits, vegetables, a real pleasure. Spacious and clean, it is perfect for four people, with two similar bedrooms and a veranda with beautiful views. As the weather was changing, we took little advantage of the terrace. The house does not have central heating, but two space heaters. Access and parking are a little tricky, but like everywhere on the island. We get there quickly, and the winding roads even have their charm! The central location is ideal for exploring the island. In short, a great stay that we highly recommend.

Lovely stay at the Mountain Eco Lodge. Perfect location for hiking and we sleep so well in the lodge.

We had a fantastic time at Torre Bella Gardens. The grounds are lovely, with lots of places to sit and enjoy a book and some sun. We were sent a comprehensive catalog of things to do on the island and enjoyed many of the recommendations. We would happily stay again, thank you!

Such a nice and beautiful house to stay in while visiting Madeira. Amazing view under a beautiful landscape. Carolina was extremely responsive and provided us help when required. The jacuzzi is a must

João is an exceptionally friendly and proactive host. The Villa and the Pool are in the most scenic Environment and the Infinitiy Pool is the cherry on top. We came as a group of 6 to both work and spend some time in nature. Fully recommendable!

Villa was lovely as was the pool. Location was further out than expected so definitely need a car would recommend automatic & satnav. The showers were fantastic, the crockery was rather chipped and could do with replacing. Local shop & bar very convenient and pizza restaurant was fab. Overall had a lovely stay and would recommend.

Leonel’s home was beautiful and exactly as pictures. Leonel met us at the property and shared lots about the area and had wonderful recommendations. The house had lots of space for 2 or a family and it is very close to lots of beautiful activities. We had a wonderful stay.

Fantastic villa for larger groups. Our extended family had a great time here. Because of our late arrival time we arranged transfer to the villa through the owner. Wise decision since finding the villa in the dark driving up mountainous roads would have been challenging after a long day of travel. Another great touch was that we had a meal in the oven waiting for us as well as many drinks, snacks, fruit bowl and breakfast provided free of charge! Rentals cars are a must. Fortunately the owner also has a car rental company and will have the cars waiting for you at the villa so you can start exploring right away. The villa itself is a little bit outdated so don't expect everything to be brand new. All the rooms are huge and there are plenty of beds, couches, tables and chairs. Big groups can spread out easily. The game room was another well used bonus. The main feature of this rental did not disappoint....the large infinity pool with a view is absolutely amazing!

Rodrigo's place is perfect if you are looking for a calm and peaceful environment. Everything is as described; a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and a nice view! Rodrigo answered quickly to my questions, and as been kind enough to come pick me up at Café Xavier because I couldn't find the place. One tip: put "Organic Phenomena" in your Google Map to make sure you get the right direction from the airport. Once you know where the place is, it's easy to get there. If you don't have a car and travel with the local bus, expect a long and steep walk from the bottom of Ponta do Sol to the apartment. In a nutshell, our time there as been PER-FECT and I would 100% recommend this place. It's clean and cozy, you got everything you need, plus, Bichana the cat is so lovely!!! She definitely was a part of "our family" while staying there!

Casas Na Ilha was very clean, large and beautiful. We really enjoyed the stay. The pool and kitchen were great for large groups and each room had its own bathroom. We would come back. Isabel responded very quickly and kindly to messages and check-in with the door code was very easy and convenient.

We had the very best time at the house! One of the Airbnbs that is exactly like the photos in real life. Hosts are responsive to messages, only the heating is something special and only works at certain times.

Great location for hiking and exploring the northern part of the island. The house felt particularly homely and welcoming after a long day hiking. And most importantly the beds were comfortable. Excellent communication and quick to act on our request
