“Fresh country house located near the historic center of Guastalla and one km from the Po beach, one of the attractions. Kind and helpful family. The house has antique furniture and a maxi fireplace. It makes you travel back in time. Recommended”
Ours is a manor house of the sixteenth century immersed in the new world reserve of the UNESCO biosphere of the Po river. We are a farm that uses the technique of permaculture that does not involve the use of any chemical fertilizer. All our products are natural. A quiet place to live a little relaxation surrounded by greenery and the past. During the stay it is possible to use our living areas, all furnished with antique furniture from Emilia.
“Highly recommended! Among 2 weeks in Italy from Como to Naples, our stay in Boretto with Alessandra and Rafaele was a standout. It is not as beautiful as Tuscany or as historically dense as Rome or as posh at Como. But this family designs an experience that it totally comfortable, relaxing, and interesting. The whole time we stayed there we felt like we were characters in the novel Wuthering Heights. Rafaele is a collector of antique furniture and 15th-18th century books which are definitely worth checking out. Rafaele brought us to the farm that produces DOP balsamic vinegar which was more more interesting than either of us expected. We also did the tour of the Parmesan cheese factory which is also time well spent. If you can only do 1, check out the vinegar farm. They also have a tower they rent out on Airbnb, so you might want to check that out before booking this as that looks like a very cool place to stay.”
