The location of the house is the absolute highlight. The view is unique. At sunset and with the view of the lake and the whole mountain panorama for dinner, it was indescribably beautiful. We also enjoyed the warm hotpot several times - after a long hike it is very relaxing. The house is as described - the rooms are very nicely decorated, the kitchen well equipped and the bathrooms are functional but impeccable. If there is a single point of criticism, it is the beds that are very small for double beds and are a bit outdated. All in all, however, we were super happy in the accommodation and can highly recommend the house. Communication with Natalia was also excellent. She responds super quickly and is very helpful. Thank you Natalia for the good hospitality!

Wow, we booked this Airbnb quite spontaneously because we needed a weekend retreat away and this delivered! Admittedly, you do need to be prepared that it’s not the easiest place to get to - but we packed light and had plenty of hands to get the groceries brought over. In the end;however, with a bit of planning, it was no issue at all getting there with our toddler and baby. And the location absolutely delivered! It was just what we needed to be in an undisturbed, peaceful setting to unwind from the busyness of everyday life. And the views are amazing!! As disclosed, a few elements of this house aren’t renovated (bathrooms), so if this is ever done then it will help elevate the house as well. I wasn’t aware that it was a two story house - which for us was perfect as we stayed below and my parents stayed above and gave us each some separate living space. I’d absolutely recommend Carmen’s place if you are looking for a true Swiss retreat that’s off the beaten path!

This place was perfect for our family. There are two separate entrances so one room is private from the other two. The views are AMAZING. It does require some coordination if you want to go into town as the train only runs about every hour, but we found the surroundings well worth the effort. The hot tub was so nice in the evenings, just plan to start the fire early as it takes a bit to heat up. Also HIGHLY recommend getting farm fresh eggs/milk/butter. It was super reasonable and so convenient to have it dropped at the house. Host were also very communicative which I appreciated. Overall, I would highly recommend this place if you want peace and gorgeous surroundings.

Absolutely amazing location, with stunning views of the lake. The location is quiet and peaceful, in a unique setting on the mountainside. The house was very well appointed and had everything we needed, including a bunk bed and crib, along with toys that were perfect for our children. We enjoyed relaxing days at the home, with amazing hikes and waterfalls that were accessible directly from the house. The wood fired hot tub overlooking the lake also provided a perfect end to our days. Very unique in that the house is only accessible by a private cable car, which is shared by the other residents (approx 5 homes) in the area. Carmen the host met us at the cable car, and taught us how to use it. You will park your car at the base of the cable car, then take the cable car up to the neighborhood and have a short walk to the house. This made it a truly one of a kind experience. I would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone. The views and experience are unbeatable.

Great place in beautiful setting. Easy to get around. Very walkable. Great host, very responsive. We skipped Titlis which seemed overcrowded and went to Brunni instead which was awesome for our family of 4. Would definitely recommend!

Villa Turm Mattli is a gem with countless special details. We had the whole house with 13 people. The parquet floors, the old beautiful doors and wall paneling are something for lovers of old villas. All rooms are furnished with a lot of love for detail. However, the owner himself lives in the apartment, so the kitchen was in the used condition, with all the food in cabinets and fridge, leaving us only one compartment in it. Since we only booked one night, that was no problem. We were received in a very friendly manner, the place is highly recommended.

We were warmly welcomed! Place was very neat and clean. We received a lot of travel tips. It was still a little too fresh for the natural pool (for our taste) but it looked great! Certainly very refreshing in the height of summer! In heavy weather, Simon even drove us to the city and my girlfriend and I were able to stay dry in the bars! Really very friendly and accommodating! Not a given! On the whole, this accommodation has uncomplicated hosts, a super friendly family, which also offers its guests enough privacy and a magnificent kitchen (used daily).
