Self contained studio close to Kennet & Avon Canal

AdrianRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Caroline's studio is a lovely space. The bed was comfortable, the shower very efficient, the kitchen had all the essentials. Caroline kindly left milk, teas, ground coffee and biscuits. The studio is in the garden of Caroline's beautiful house. I would recommend for anyone looking for a quiet night or two in the area.

Melanie’s annex is very clean and comfortable and was extremely peaceful. Melani was away so I had the place to myself and all I heard was birdsong. The bed was super comfy and quite hard to get out of! A lovely stay.

Little Lodge

NelyRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We had a wonderful stay at this tranquil and spacious " Little Lodge". The place was incredibly clean inside, and we felt right at home. Our host Georgia was super responsive and helpful when we needed assistance with the appliances, which was much appreciated. Overall, we had a fantastic time in this lovely space and would definitely recommend it to others. Thanks to our host for making our stay so enjoyable!" 5/5 stars

Roger's Orchard ~ Glamping

Absolutely beautiful little hideaway, Lyla was an amazing host and went above and beyond to make this little over night stay so special (was a total surprise birthday treat for my husband) and she made it beautiful ❤️ Loved getting back to nature and seeing the wildlife, got slightly spooked by the dear and pheasant on my evening trip to the toilet!, but it was beautiful 🥰 I really enjoyed the outdoor shower, seemed weird to be showering while watching the birds fly around, thought at one point the pheasant was going to try and shower with me😳🤣 It felt very strange not having to flush the toilet🤣 We went to a lovely Italian restaurant in Hungerford 👌🏻 highly recommend. The smell from the roses is amazing as you walk to the shepherds hut. All in all 10/10, if your looking for somewhere very quiet and want to get in touch with your nature side then this is definitely the place to go, Thank you so much Lyla for everything, would love to return, highly recommend this place

We had a lovely couple of days at Alice's place. I booked it as a surprise for my wife's birthday and she loved it. The homely finishing touches made it all the more special. Alice and James were very helpful and friendly and were on hand if we needed anything, we were sad to leave. Many thanks Alice and James.

foxglove hideaway

We had a lovely 2 night stay. The hut was comfy, clean and well equipped. Kathe and Simon were friendly and helpful. We had a bbq on our last night with local meat from the on site farm shop. We visited the pub which was a 5 minute walk and visible from the hut. We loved watching the sheep, lambs, chickens and red kites!

An idyllic rural cottage

ParkerRating, 5 stars5 months ago
we've stayed here before and just as lovely as the first time. Beautifully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, peaceful setting. This time we were staying in winter and appreciated the warmth of the cottage and the almost instant hot water. The town of Hungerford is 5 minutes away where there is a Tesco, a coffee shop, a lovely bakery, a tea shop, and a few take away restaurants. If you want an excellent meal, book The Woodspeen, about 15 minutes away, for lunch or dinner. Lucy has also provided an extensive book with more recommendations. Can't wait to come back!
