Cottage holiday rentals in Lismore

A great getaway with loads to do close by for whatever mood you're in - great towns and cities like Calendar and Stirling less than half an hour away, equally beautiful countryside and multiple waterfalls, lochs and walks to choose from on the doorstep. Our toddler loved the on site swimming pool and the grown ups enjoyed the peaceful views from the hot tub too! Rosie was so friendly and accommodating.

Very true to the listing the cottage is charming, tastefully decorated and homely. The entire cottage is modern and new and the kitchen is spacious and very well equipped with everything you would need. Bathrooms are modern, bright and good rainfall showers. Spacious bedrooms with fresh crisp linen and towels. Hot tub is very good but agree with previous reviews that it definitely needs a few hours to reach the perfect temperature. Nice decking area off the kitchen with outdoor couches but weather was a little inclement which in turn brought out the dreaded midgies!! Huge garden which was safe for our dog to run around with easy access to the stream at bottom of the garden! The cottage is located off the beaten track and is quite remote but definitely ideal if you are after total peace and quiet. Not disappointed and would recommend!!

This garden cottage was straight out of a romantic fairytale! The gorgeous garden surrounding the cottage and the view of the water and misty rolling hills framed perfectly by a stone wall and ivy were just breathtaking (especially while sitting in the wood fire heated hot tub). The cottage itself was incredibly cozy. We had nearly gotten stranded on Islay with car issues and we weren’t even sure we’d get to enjoy this stop on our holiday. By the time we arrived, we were completely exhausted from the chaos of the previous 24 hours so this relaxing and welcoming space was exactly what we needed to decompress. ☺️ The cottage was well equipped and very clean! We had everything we needed and then some. Caroline was an exceptional host. She was remarkably responsive and lovely to interact with both prior to our stay (when we weren’t sure we’d be able to make it) and during our stay! Anyone with the opportunity to stay here, should absolutely do it! Thank you for everything, Caroline!!

This was our 2nd stay at March Cottage. The addition of the log burner in the front room and bedroom is great. We will definitely return for a 3rd visit.

We had a lovely stay with our friends. Saw 3 Pine Martins run across the deck, which was exciting. The walk to the Loch is gorgeous. We came in our vintage cars and were pleased to have private parking for both. Thank you for a lovely stay in a beautiful part of Scotland, slept so well , appreciated the quality bedding and how clean the cottage was. we will return at some point.

Great location with fantastic views. The hot tub was easy to use and very nice after a long day of hiking. Beds were comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating.

We couldn’t have picked a better place to finish our week exploring Islay and Jura. The cottage is an absolute dream. A mixture of back to basics and quality amenities. Located a 10 minute drive from Craighouse but also with great walks straight from the door. The paps right on your doorstep gave us the most magical sunset sight. Rain or sun whatever the weather Jura wears it well. And Mrs Leonard’s cottage is the perfect place to come back to and either warm up in front of the fire or sip a wine or a touch of the hard stuff in the garden. I hope we will be back

Fab time. Lovely spotless cottage, comfy beds very private. Only issue there was only 3 wine glasses and there was 4 of us. So someone had to have a gin glass. But think they were happy about it. Thank you to our host, plenty of communication all questions answered. Would look to stay again should we return to Oban. Thank you

We had a fabulous holiday and Anna's cottage was perfect, the scenery is stunning. The cottage overlooks the mountains and we caught a glimpse of the local wildlife. The cottage is central for many activities around the Glen Coe area. Thank you Anna for a wonderful stay.

Perfect place to stay if you are in the Fort Williams area! We were greeted when we arrived and felt right at home. Easy drive into town and around the Glencoe area with a beautiful view of Ben Nevis. Would absolutely stay here again!

Tony and Mairi are delightful hosts. Their place is better than the photos and the bed is divine! Tony was extremely generous to not only recommend a fabulous restaurant but made the booking on our behalf. We really enjoyed our stay and it's a perfect base to explore the Glencoe area. Cannot wait to return.

Parfait ! Charmant bothy situé dans un cadre idyllique, le Glen Etive. Lors de mon premier voyage en Écosse, j'ai eu un véritable coup de cœur pour ce lieu et quand j'ai su que l'on pouvait loger dans ce bothy, je n'ai pas hésité une minute à y reserver plusieurs nuits. Endroit très propre, fonctionnel: 6 lits, une grande table, plusieurs fauteuils, des jeux à disposition, un insert pour faire un feu, une cuisine avec tout l'équipement nécessaire et une belle salle de bain. Merci à Sheri d'avoir fait de cet endroit, un cocon confortable pour les voyageurs qui souhaitent profiter d'un cadre apaisant et se laisser emporter par les paysages sublimes du Glen Etive. The Schoolhouse Cottage in Onich was a wonderful place to stay during our visit to the Highlands. Chris & Sarah were excellent hosts and the cottage itself was lovely and nicely equipped. They have taken great care with their welcome guides- extremely thorough! The cottage is in a beautiful area and the views are just stunning- we wish we could wake up to that view every day. We'd recommend this place to anyone wanting to explore Glencoe or the Highlands in general- it's in a great location to be a basecamp for exploring surrounding areas.

The house and garden were absolutely perfect for our visit. Donny and Alison were so friendly and along with Flossie and Tess they made our stay an absolute pleasure. We will definitely return.

The property was the best bnb we have stayed in. The kitchen has everything and it was the same throughout the house . The welcome pack was very generous and everything about our stay made us feel welcomed. The bathroom has a bath , shower and a small attachment for washing your hair all requirements met. The garden was private , peaceful and the views were just beautiful.When the weather wasn't too good we loved sitting on the sofa looking out on the Loch. Julie our host was very accepting with our cat and bent over backwards to accommodate our arrival and leaving times. Just up the road is a hotel called Loch Melfort which had amazing views. But to be fair you will just want to stay home get a bottle of wine and look at the fab view. What a fabulous place !

A lovely and peaceful accommodation, which was an annex to the main house. A warm welcome from the hosts on arrival, and the house was clean and well presented. In walking distance to a local shop, pub, and loch. We climbed Ben Nevis during our stay (1h15m drive) and visited Oban (20 min drive). Would definitely stay again.

What a wonderful place! The apartment is incredibly modern but cozy, well insulated and has the most amazing views. We'd come visit again in a heartbeat!

a great place to stay, good location to explore fort William and western shores. Clickety Clack Cottage had everything you needed for a very comfortable stay. Fantastic place with a panoramic view of the Sound of Mull and the Island of Mull. Parking right outside, very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful accomodation, which was spotlessly clean. The kitchen had everything needed, the bathroom was lovely with the choice of a great shower or bath.

We had a wonderful time at Alison’s place and Alison was so lovely and informative, letting us know all the good walks and things to do nearby! We can’t wait to come back to this peaceful gem in the trossachs and loved how close Nether Glenny is to Aberfoyle if we did need anything! Fantastic stay and host, can’t recommend enough! :)

This is the second time we have stayed here and we loved it just as much the second time round. We are a family of 4 with a 4 and 6 year old and the house is perfect for us. The best view accompanied by chickens and ponies on the doorstep! It's a great base to explore the loch and beyond. Highlights include a local walk to 'the island', climbing Dun na Cuaiche and a ferry over to Kerrera from Oban for a walk and cake. Highly recommend!

Every detail has been thoroughly thought out in this lovely cottage. It's warm, comfortable and full of charm. The ever-changing view of the loch is a treat and it comes with a sheltered deck and a garden with resident baby bunnies! It's a great location near Glen Coe surrounded by incredible scenery.
