Family-friendly holiday rentals in Lisbon

Lovely holiday house. Didi was our point of contact and she was very friendly and helpful. There were 7 of us, all adults and the house was ideal for us.

The place is indeed very well equipped and has lovely facilities. We didn’t use the pool, because it was too cold in April, but I am sure it is great in summer. Location is walkable distance to the beach, and we used an uber to get to the town. It is a lovely house and thank you to Vladimir for being so accommodating (I made a mistake in the booking when providing in the amount of guests, which he kindly disregarded). Vladimir also kindly provided us with a cot and a high chair for our toddler.

We really enjoyed our 3 nights in the historic center of Sintra. It’s a beautiful small town area to be in. The apartment has everything you need. The location is very cool overlooking the main square. We enjoyed watching the town wake up in the mornings. So many restaurants and bakeries just steps from the front door. We had fun with that after coming from the Azores which are very quiet and remote. In the off season of early May, Sintra closes down by 7 pm. There are very few restaurants or shops open once the day tripping tourists leave. We were surprised by that but didn’t mind it as we were tired after our days spent walking around palaces and castles and beautiful gardens. I’d recommend this apartment to anyone as long as they don’t have mobility issues. There are 33 steps to climb once inside the building. Climbing them was worth it for the views of the historic center of Sintra.

Staying at Ana and Jorge’s place in Lisbon may be the best AirBnB experience I’ve had. They are super responsive and make sure you got in and settled. The listing is also very convenient to buses and metro, and doesn’t take a long time from the airport either. An ALDI and Auchan are nearby and the street is quiet at night. The listing was clean, comfortable, and was large enough that we felt we had enough personal space while we were there. But what really sets Ana and Jorge apart is how much they care. We were greeted with homemade food made by Ana and Jorge, left for us for when we arrived and they brought us something else to try later in our stay. It was all delicious and really shows how much they enjoy hosting guests. I highly recommend Ana and Jorge as hosts and this listing is perfect for a trip to Lisbon.

Já tinha estado lá há 9 anos e estava com receio de que as infraestruturas mostrassem sinais de desgaste. No entanto, encontrei tudo como se fosse novo: as casas de banho muito modernas e renovadas, novos espaços de diversão (fitness e espaço para crianças), e matraquilhos. A Lina foi muito prestável e sempre rápida a responder e a dar indicações quando não encontrávamos o que procurávamos. Apesar do horário de checkout ser às 10h, a Lina permitiu que fizéssemos late checkout, o que foi fantástico, pois pudemos aproveitar o último dia. Muito obrigada por nos receber, tivemos um fim de semana fantástico. Até à próxima vez! 😊

O apartamento é enorme, ficamos com muito conforto em um grupo de 6 pessoas. Não se trata de um apartamento montado para ser alugado, nota-se que é um apartamento que de fato foi montado para morar ali, então tem tudo que é necessário e todos os móveis e eletrodomésticos são de qualidade. Não falta nada. A região é ótima, perfeita para quem não quer se hospedar na região histórica e prefere uma área plana, mais moderna, mais acessível, porém ainda próximo. Muito próximo há mercado, farmácia e ótimos restaurantes. Por fim, a atenção dada pela Alexandra e sua equipe foi incrível. Tudo foi muito rápido e objetivo e fizeram de tudo para garantir que nossa estadia fosse perfeita. Podem alugar sem medo. Muito recomendado.

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans l'appartement de Luis, qui est un hôte incroyable,d'une très grande gentillesse et de très bons conseils ! Le fait qu'il parle français est vraiment un plus et facilite les interactions. Le lit était très confortable, nous avons très bien dormi. Les 2 terrasses sont très agréables, avec une belle vue sur le panthéon et le Tage. L'appartement est fonctionnel, la cuisine dispose de ce dont on a besoin pour cuisiner. L'immeuble est un peu excentré, ce qui permet d'être au calme (un vrai plus) et tout est joignable à pied sans difficultés. Si vous prenez l'avion, privilégiez le Uber au métro car Uber ne coûte vraiment pas grand chose là bas (nous sommes partis pendant la grève des trains et Uber a été un précieux allié pour rallier Belem ou Sintra). Quelques bons restaurants autour de l'appartement, à seulement quelques minutes à pied. Nous recommandons.

We had the perfect stay at this apartment. It’s so beautiful - the bougainvillea and jasmine on the patio were in full bloom when we stayed and the sight and scent were breathtaking. The apartment is delightfully decorated and wonderfully comfortable. The location is perfect - right in the middle of Alfama, so if you are looking for great food, Fado music, atmospheric alleyways and courtyards and people selling the local liquor from their doorways, you’ve come to the right place. Plus it isn’t too high up the hill which is a plus if you have heavy cases! And Andre was such a brilliant host, full of recommendations and always on hand when we needed him. We’ll definitely return.

Wir haben drei Nächte in der Unterkunft übernachtet und waren super glücklich mit der Lage. Ganz in der Nähe gibt es eine Vielzahl von tollen Restaurants, Cafés und Bars, sodass wir uns gar nicht entscheiden konnten, wo wir abends einkehren sollen. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber, ansprechend eingerichtet und mit allem Notwendigen ausgestattet. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt wäre uns die Wohnung etwas zu dunkel gewesen- für einen kurzen Besuch in Lissabon war es perfekt.

Le logement est très bien situé et permet de faire tout à pieds ce qui facilite les déplacement et permet d’économiser de l’argent. Les 2 chambres et salles de bain sont à l’opposé et séparés par le salon et la cuisine ce qui permet une grande intimité pour 2 couple tout en permettant de profiter des endroits communs ensemble. La terrasse intime est un must.

We loved our stay at this flat. It is comfortably decorated, spacious and a great home base. Perfect for my sister, myself and my teenage daughter. Beautiful natural light- we loved having the windows open and listening to the sounds of the city and the birds. Some fantastic restaurants all within easy walking distance. Would definitely stay here again. The bedrooms are very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. The property manager was extremely responsive. Wonderful stay- thank you!

An idyllic place to spend a week with close friends. The house was made for both relaxing in gorgeous spaces and easy exploration of the area. Meal prep for a large crowd was a breeze in the well equipped kitchen. There is a great market close by and there are several restaurants within a short distance from the house. João was an incredible host, checking in a few times to make sure we were comfortable and well supplied. We felt fortunate to have landed in such a wonderful place. Thank you João!

Thanks Maria for the great stay! We really enjoyed the big garden, the hammock, sun beds, too bad we couldn't enjoy the pool more due to the weather but just the look of it made us happy 😊 The house is comfortable, we liked having our own dishwasher & washing machine (since we stayed for 2 weeks). The location is lovely, not far from Ericeira center (5 min by car) and you walk right into the countryside from the house. Would recommend staying here 👍

Uma verdadeira escapadinha no meio da natureza! A Encosta do Almargem é o lugar ideal para relaxar, recarregar energias e deixar as crianças explorarem com liberdade. O espaço é acolhedor, limpo e muito bem cuidado — tudo pensado ao detalhe. A área exterior é maravilhosa para churrascos em família, e o silêncio da zona convida ao descanso. O Lorenzo, com 2 anos e meio, adorou cada momento! Obrigada pela hospitalidade — voltaremos sem dúvida!

Sofia was a very proactive and friendly host. All key information were promptly provided days prior to check-in. Easy self-access with the instructions provided. Rooms were ready and property was clean by the time we arrived. It is a 10-20 minutes commute to certain shops at late hours, however, the privacy is worth its keep. There is supermarket super close by, for us was unfortunate due to the time we would arrive everyday at the property meant they were always closed, but those seeking a holiday, that would be no issue. Lovely spacious living room with doors that you see straight out to the swimming pool. As we were there mainly for business purposes, we did not manage to have usage of certain available amenities - but worth to those coming in for a holiday. Sofia was also always efficient in responding, regardless of time (unethical on my part to message pas midnight) nonetheless, she would respond right away. Beautiful home and an amazing host.

What a gorgeous spot!! We instantly felt right at home - Teresa was warm, welcoming and full of great suggestions and tips for our time in Cascais. There's so much to see and do in the area, plus an endless list of restaurants, bars and cafes. The apartment is an easy walk to town (and was necessary after enjoying sweet treats!), or if you're craving a home cooked meal and to curl up on the couch, you have the best of both worlds. We loved every minute of our stay and highly recommend this property - its truly lovely. Thanks for having us Teresa!

We thoroughly enjoyed our family holiday at this lovely quirky characterful villa. The welcome was fantastic with a table laid out with delicious foods by Adelia. The outside terraces around the pool are beautiful with stunning views and sunsets. We also made good use of the barbecue. We were there with 6 adults and 2 babies. There is literally nothing missing in the house, everything is catered for, even 2 highchairs! When we had an issue with the lack of hot water, our hosts responded promptly and things were resolved. We can highly recommend this lovely house. The local restaurant is also worth a visit where Susanna will cook up a storm.
