Holiday rentals with lake access in Lewes District

Idyllic - best description of Kathy's place in Sussex in the south of England. Kathy was a great host and the property was amazing; both the Coach House, which was huge and boasted a wonderful kitchen and common areas. We were celebrating the arrival of our first grandbaby, bringing the whole family together (7 + infant) over Christmas and really appreciated all the nice touches, including the beautiful Christmas decorations. Make no mistake, you are in the countryside - with all the peace that comes with it (there is a lively and charming little pub a short distance); and, yet, not really all that far from London and the airports; very accessible. I could go on but Kathy's place was just a perfect retreat and we feel very blessed to have been able to stay at this beautiful property. Thank you, Kathy, to you and your family for a wonderful stay!

Kay's apartment was absolutely superb for us and she was such a great host. She was able to provide a travel cot and high chair at the last minute as silly grandparents had forgotten to pack them. It was no problem for Kay and she'd got it in position by the time we arrived, for which we were all extremely grateful. The apartment is located in a great spot with direct views over the estuary and Arun yacht club and a 5 minute walk from the beach and high st! We were greeted with a lovely basket containing sourdough bread, homemade biscuits, milk, jam, marmalade as well as plenty of tea bags, coffee & sugar! All the beds were comfortable as was the sofa and easy chairs in the lounge/diner. We all would recommend the local fish & chip shop Osca's as the food there was fantastic!

The house is stunning - beautiful, spacious, private and quiet. Frederika was friendly, extremely helpful and responsive. There were very clear instructions on how to access and leave the property. Plenty of space and lovely decorations for a family Christmas gathering. The garden is lovely and the area is great for walks. Thank you for a great stay!

Such a beautiful place, our family loved the tree house, the lake and the boats. The wildlife were amazingly tame. Katherine and Alex were great friendly and communicative hosts. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely time at Sue’s place. We came on the train - so no car. For us it was a 10-15 minute walk from the station, all very easy. The place is beautiful, a lot of character. Plenty of space for everything you’ll bring. Hot tub was a great addition which we loved using most of the nights we were there. Thanks!

Beautiful location with loads to do nearby. Heather was very responsive and helpful. James works too hard and deserves recognition and beer. (Pay me back later James!). Thanks for letting us stay at your beautiful place!

We enjoyed our stay at the Lake House. The kitchen was well stocked and the private outdoor space made meals feel special. We would definitely come back again.

We had a comfortable stay at Claudia's apartment. It is a brand new development. Communication with Claudia was good with quick responses. We had a minor issue upon arrival which was solved fairly quickly following a call with Claudia. Also, the check in instructions could be a little clearer for which we have provided feedback so this should be better for anyone staying after us!

Thank you Laura for hosting us at such short notice after our original booking was cancelled last minute. You found us a beautiful place, it was ready for us so quickly and was even more lovely than our original booking. The owner was very friendly, also. It is such a beautiful home, with an outdoor space, a big bed in the main bedroom, beautifully furnished and quiet! This was my first time visiting friends in Kent from Liverpool, and I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Maidstone East station was just a short walk from this lovely accommodation, making it incredibly convenient. Mitchell was kind enough to provide his contact details in case I needed any assistance, though everything was smooth and straightforward upon arrival. The property was spotless, with a clean, fresh scent, and it had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The fast internet was a lifesaver as I had a work meeting to attend before heading out for some shopping at Maidstone Centre with friends. After a long day of travel and socialising, the hot shower and bath were the perfect way to unwind, with lovely smelling soaps provided, and fresh white towels! There’s also a small spa nearby for any last-minute items you might need for a short stay. There’s also a private parking available if you live abit closer than I do. I’ll be looking to book again next year

We had a wonderful, relaxing and peaceful time. We did have a car which made it easy to get places from here. However, there are some pubs near by to stroll to. Arthur was easy to communicate with and provided clear instructions on how to find the accommodation. Thank you for a great stay :)

Yas’s place was lovely! So close to the pier and beach, felt like home away from home. He was so quick to reply if I had any questions and the bed was very comfy!

We loved our stay at Chris’ place. The location is perfect for exploring the Sussex countryside (Petworth, Ridgeview etc all nearby). The house was clean and well equipped, and Chris was communicative throughout. Highly recommend for a relaxing escape from the grind with friends or family - with the added bonus of a village pub in spitting distance!

The cottage is beautifully furnished and has everything you need for a relaxing break. The extra touches, like milk in the fridge, tea, coffee and toiletries, are very thoughtful. Great cottage, very spacious, very clean, comfy furniture. Nice touches such as tea, coffee, dishwasher tablets, washing up sponges and lots of toilet rolls. Jo was super easy to communicate with and gave us lots of recommendations for activities for our toddler in advance which was very useful.

Our stay at the cottage was exactly what we required. The location was ideal, the surroundings and grounds were great. The accommodation was great and Jo was a very responsive host. I would recommend the cottage as a great place to stay.

The owners are exceptionally welcoming, ensuring that every detail is taken care of, making the experience even more enjoyable. A short five-minute walk away, the Cricketers Pub is a fantastic find. It boasts a charming atmosphere and serves amazing homemade food sourced from local ingredients. This perfectly complements the peaceful retreat offered by Woodside Cottage. Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a relaxing stay with great amenities.

A wonderful stay at the piggery. really clear guidance and instructions fron the host Clare and lots of lovely optional extras available. check in was easy and flexible. The home was lovely and clean and beautifully simple in decor. A really relaxing atmosphere. the outdoor space was calming and secluded. You felt like you were in your own little piece of heaven. Two lovely runner ducks on site who popped by every morning and evening to say hello. A really quick response from Clare when we became short of wood and it was delivered less than 20 minutes later. Lots of lovely homely touches and all the appliances, cutlery and niceties you could need. I booked for a suprise weekend away for my partners 50th and he absolutely loved it. A truly relaxing getaway. There is lots to do in the area including walks, gardens and pubs but we enjoyed the site so much we just stayed in!
