Cottage holiday rentals in Lewes District

Lovely house and beautiful location for our mother’s 60th celebration family gathering. The beautiful views from the garden, fire pit and hot tub were a great hit. We did two lovely walks from the property - one to a vineyard - and there are some fun cafes/bars in the village as well. Sandra and her husband made sure we had everything we needed during our stay and communication was very quick. I would recommend this property :)

Very cozy and quiet cottage in an idyllic area. Super friendly host and had plenty of great recommendations for us. The sauna is also Finnish approved! 😉

We had a wonderful week at Easter at Cooden Cottage. Ella was amazing and even helped us find a lost dog! The house is spotless, and beyond our expectations. The flow of the downstairs through to an amazing kitchen, conservatory and completely fenced garden was perfect for us and our two large dogs and we had several family get togethers in the garden, surrounded by greenery. The beds, bedrooms and bathrooms were excellent with plenty is space. We met Ella twice and it is clear that she is passionate about giving her guests a really special experience, from thoughtful touches to all rooms to a lovely welcome pack. While there, she wants her guests to feel that it is space and she completely achieved that. We felt at home and will definitely be back. Thank you!

We absolutely loved our stay such much so we didn't want to leave. Sitting & having a few drinks with the family in the beautiful garden after a day out was very relaxing. Would definitely stay here again & would highly recommend - could not fault our stay. Thank you Crystal x

A lovely modern cottage, exactly as described and photographed. It was well kitted out and essentials were provided. The bed was super comfortable but just a gentle note that if you have any mobility issues the apex of the roof means that you cannot stand up straight around the bed and the bed is low but this was not a problem on our stay. Helena and Philip were both really friendly and helpful. My personal favourite touch was when Philip invited me to pick some roses from the cottage garden to take inside. The hot tub was a real treat but please be mindful that you are in someone’s back garden so not completely secluded if they are enjoying their own space. Highly recommend, we would definitely go back.

wow what a find, the main attraction for us was the peaceful setting, the open views from the decking area was beautiful, I'm the worst person for relaxing, believe me I relaxed, the swimming pool and hot tub was gorgeous, definitely going to go back, great hosts, great accommodation, beautiful location. From start to finish, this place is an absolute dream. So peaceful and relaxing, it was the perfect little weekend getaway. The house and surroundings were absolutely spotless, the ducks were adorable, and the attention to detail with providing extras needed for comfort was superb. Clare was a fantastic host. Always responsive but never intrusive. If you're looking for somewhere to stay for a few days or more with your partner - or just on your own - where you can recharge your batteries, this is it.

Felt very welcome lovely cosy place for a family Tanya made us a delicious cookies which we really enjoyed it was very nice of her to take her time out and make us delicious treat,the pool and jacuzzi was the best part for my son enjoyed every bit of it Tanya is very lovely host wouldn’t think twice to come back thank you for a enjoyable weekend.

Such a tranquil, beautiful setting with views of the rolling countryside and woodland walks on the doorstep. Inside, Little House is akin to a boutique hotel with a standalone roll-top bath and lots of thoughtful touches such as flowers from the garden and local apple juice. I stayed at Little House as part of recovery from a major surgery and couldn’t have asked for anywhere more perfect!

We loved staying at Renny's place in Arundel. We were able to park our car right in front of the house each day as we returned from our outings, and we also walked to the Castle, restaurants, and coffee. Very nicely decorated and loved the original art.

We had a brilliant stay at Clairs cottage. The cottage was wonderful and in a great location, and it felt like Clair went above and beyond to make us welcome, with clear communication, providing us with a parking permit and lots of breakfast options. Great value and will keep in mind for our next visit!

We had a gorgeous peaceful stay in this spacious annex. It felt private and the choice of games for all ages was really good fun. It had everything we needed and more, very dog friendly and a great walk to the nearest pub in the beautiful nearby village. Highly recommend this air bnb.

A very professional lady looks after this cottage. Everything thought of and immaculately clean. An old cottage but no musty smells of damp, or cobwebs. Truly one of the best cottages we have ever stayed at, certainly in Willingdon! Lights in the garden so you can enjoy the garden at the end of the day, just perfect! I could go on, thoroughly recommend a stay in this cottage you will not be disappointed!

Fabulous place to stay, great location. Ellie was considerate of that it can get a bit noisy on a Friday night and left ear plugs for the front room for those sleeping in there which worked perfectly. Beautifully decorated and everything that we needed was there ☺️

Our stay with Caroline & David was great. Very friendly, helpful & were always willing to help with anything. The property & gardens were amazing & safe for our dog Olive who does like to wander every nook & cranny. The bottle of bubbly, crisps, home made jams, & Olive’s doggy treats were most welcome & a nice touch. Thank you! We made the very most of our stay regarding sightseeing & it was always nice to return to our dwelling at the end of the day. Hope to return in the future.

Sehr gemütlich für zwei Personen (und einen kleinen Hund)! Das Häuschen und der schöne Garten haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Lynda ist ein perfekter Host. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Lovely stay in Julie’s cosy cottage in the heart of Lewes. Everything was very nicely furnished - bed especially comfortable! And lovely touch to have a couple of dog bowls there for our little whippet. Julie was super communicative and helpful with suggestions for parking etc. Thank you for having us!

A very nice place to stay in a lovely village in the Sussex countryside - highly recommended. Jane is extremely helpful and prompt in her communication.

My friend and I stayed here for a couple of nights and it was perfect for us. The location was fantastic - right in the countryside but very close to everything we needed. It felt private and spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We met Tony on arrival and he was incredibly welcoming and showed us around and made sure we had all we needed. Great stay ☺️

Great cottage, very spacious, very clean, comfy furniture. Nice touches such as tea, coffee, dishwasher tablets, washing up sponges and lots of toilet rolls. Jo was super easy to communicate with and gave us lots of recommendations for activities for our toddler in advance which was very useful.

Sehr gemütliches, gut ausgestattetes und sauberes Cottage mitten in der idyllischen Countyside. Ruhig und im Grünen gelegen, konnte man dennoch viel im Umkreis unternehmen. Die Hosts waren sehr zuvorkommend und gastfreundlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt - ein toller Ort für eine entspannte Auszeit!

Our stay was everything we could have wished for, for the very special occasion for which we needed the accommodation - to be present for the birth of our first grandchild! The property was just as described and Jane (and Guy) could not have been more hospitable.

Wir haben sehr schöne Tage in Bridget‘s Cottage verbracht. Wie beschrieben war es traumhaft ruhig und das Cottage ist ein echtes Juwel. Wie gemacht, um Stress und Alltag zu vergessen. Auch unsere Hündin hatte eine tolle Zeit mit ausgedehnten Spaziergängen. Auf unsere Anfrage (Bitte um Anschalten der Heizung wegen kalter Tage Ende Mai) wurde sehr schnell reagiert. Wir wollen sehr gerne wiederkommen.

Perfect location close to all the best bits of Lewes. Really nicely laid out with quality fittings & thoughtful design. Supremely comfortable beds & high quality bedding. Kitchen comprehensively equipped. Secure handy parking. Those used to a lot of space may find the bedrooms a bit small but overall a very comfortable place to stay.
