Amber Lodge with private hot tub

HonorRating, 5 stars7 months ago
The perfect stay! We had a fab time in Amber Lodge and it was kitted out with everything you’d need - the kitchen was super well equipped. The hot tub was a huge bonus and lovely place to chill out in the evenings. The beds were all really comfortable & everything was spotless when we arrived. Farmer Vic was lovely & helped us out when we arrived. Plenty of parking & easy to get to. We had SO much fun meeting all the animals (even as a group of eight 25 year olds) and thought the lodge was a perfect base to visit Bakewell and the surrounding areas! Can’t fault anything and would highly recommend this place.

Large barn 6 bedrooms - countryside & character

AnnRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We were really impressed with the place. There was plenty of crockery and cutlery and the pans were all useable. The fridge and freezer space was substantial. The property is in the middle of the countryside and that is what I loved about it. The water pressure in the showers was great.

We’ve just arrived home after a wonderful stay at Petra’s property. The house was very clean, beds comfy and had loads of stuff for a baby/toddler which was very helpful! Petra sent us lots of places to go and see and we did most! Thank you for having us and we look forward to returning soon! Sophie, wills, Betsy, saffron and holly.

Lovely apartment and within walking distance to two local pubs, village was very peaceful and locals were very quiet. Perfect location for us with going to bakewell for an event. Apartment was cosy, comfy and everything we needed. Loved the large bath too! Lovely cafe below the apartment too which we enjoyed a great breakfast in before departing.

17th century cottage in Matlock

GrantRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Myself and three friend's stayed at Janes as we wanted to do a motorcycle tour of Derbyshire. The cottage is ideally located for that with off road parking . The cottage it self is lovely and homely. I especially liked the conservatory to sit and relax in. The cottage had everything we needed and jane even provided some basics to get us started on our arrival, milk, bread etc. Jane was friendly, easy to contact, about when you needed her but otherwise left us alone to enjoy our stay. 100% recommend Jane and her cottage.

Light, spacious modern home in lovely Wirksworth

GabriellaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
My mum and I had a perfect couple of days in Vicky’s home - which is just as lovely as the pictures show. Vicky got in touch with us as soon as we booked and all her instructions / directions were clear and accurate. It was a real privilege to stay here and we’d 100% recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in the Wirksworth area. Sitting and enjoying breakfast looking over the fields behind was a real highlight and something we’ll miss now we’re home!

Unique static boat on the Trent

PeterRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a lovely time staying on the boat. Sharon was really helpful from start to finish. Everything was set up for our stay and we had a great time. This trip was myself, my brother, and my Dad, so two of us used the bedrooms and one of us slept on the sofa bed in the living room. There were ample blankets, cushions, and pillows for all three beds. The amount of space on the boat was great for us. I think three single people was the right amount for the boat, or four people if they were both couples. We entertained ourselves with food and drink on the picnic bench above the deck, and watching TV below deck. There was a strong WiFi signal and the streaming services on TV worked fine. Being on the Trent meant it was easy to go for a walk. We must have covered 8 miles on Saturday, along the River and into a couple of villages. All in all, we had a great time and would love to stay again on the future.

Great hosts!! Really friendly, responsive and caring! I booked this for family visiting Nottingham for the first time and I’m glad we did! My family felt right at home and were delighted with their stay! They were very comfortable staying in this private annex and really liked the homely touches and warm welcome they received from the hosts. They said they would love to stay here again :)

Yurt by River Wreake

tiernanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
It’s really quite hard to describe this place; somewhere between back to basics and everything you never know you needed - but with everything you need. Everything is considered and done so with absolute rustic charm and English class and sensibility. We can’t wait to go back. My 9 year old daughter described it best though, ‘paradise’.

Two Bedroom City Centre Serviced Apartment-Parking

EllieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Very good accommodation in a central location only five minutes or so from Derby town centre. Comfortable beds and a generous supply of towels. As what's offered is one of a number of apartments within a large block, the image on the posting may be slightly different from the apartment you are allocated. NB Although the description states that Netflix is provided, you have to bring your own login.

The Barn at Chestnut Farm Holiday Cottages

LorraineRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
If you want a tranquil setting this place is for you . If you are fit you don’t need a car but it’s a long walk up and down to the nearest town but an adventurous walk which we did most days , There is a bus (158) that serves the cottages but only a few a day so just check the times and you will be fine : We would definitely return as the cottages are beautiful in a stunning part of Bonsall.l with a friendly helpful host , Local pubs are within easy reach and we had the best sisters trip as there is just so mush to do in the local towns. Do go to lumsdale falls (stunning) and Cranford mill and canal and do visit Bakewell for the tarts and visit Monsal trail and hire bikes to ride to the viaduct and Monsal head . Go to Matlock Bath as it really is a seaside town without the sea. Heights of Abraham is also great and do consider Giddy edge if you are brave enough . We did it and there are amazing views but hold onto the rail ! We will return as Bonsall and the surrounds are beautiful

This house is in a fantastic location. So much in walking distance, like the heights of Abraham, the park, the aquarium, family friendly pubs and so many chippies!!! The house was spacious, clean and well-equipped. There were fifteen of us and there was plenty of space for us all, including enough room around the dining table for us to all have dinner together. The beds were really comfy and everyone had a lovely weekend. Tom was a great host, going above and beyond to help with any problems. We would definitely go back.
