Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Lenexa

Staying in the basement apartment of Aric and his family was a truly comforting experience! I was traveling alone with my 9-month old and I felt very safe and taken care of. They were both attentive, responsive, and thoughtful in putting out age-appropriate toys and a play mat on top of the pack n’ play and high chair I’d requested. I had one incident in failing to properly enter the door code resulting in locking myself out, but Aric was prompt with his help and was able to get me inside quickly. I had no further issues with the lock after I realized I should’ve read Aric’s check in instructions closer to see that I should’ve been pulling the door towards me as I entered the code. Would highly recommend staying here!

Everything was just great. Will definitely stay here again, next time I am in town. Would recommend Olivia’s place to everyone visiting the area.

The house was exactly as described. Quiet neighborhood location. Clean, well stocked. We weren’t traveling with small children, but if we were this home had that covered! High chair, pack n play, even some toys… would be great for a young family. I do wish there had been shampoo in the bathrooms - we had to run out to grab some since we forgot. Otherwise, everything was perfect!! Would absolutely stay again.

This was our second visit to this listing because I really like this house and it is very close to family in the area. Very kid friendly without feeling like a bunkhouse. Comfortable place to hang out. I appreciate a no pets listing. We really feel at home when we visit. Host is very friendly and easy to communicate with.

Anthony’s Airbnb in Shawnee, KS, was perfect! The place was clean, comfortable, and had all the essentials for a great stay. Anthony was very accommodating, quick to respond, and made everything seamless. The quiet neighborhood was a bonus. Highly recommend! Five stars!

If you need a place to stay in this area, this is your place!! I was impressed with how safe the neighborhood was and the amenities he provided were above and beyond anything I have ever experienced before- to include mouthwash, lotion, eye makeup remover, and cotton to help with the makeup removal. Laundry products with washer and dryer available in the unit- coffee pods and bottled water. Because we will be in KC again this fall, this will be the first place I look for to meet our home away from home needs.

Steve and Mary have a beautiful house. I loved that they checked in to see how things were going. They gave us an extra hour for check out which was amazing getting 7 children out the door. We would definitely consider staying with them again.❤️❤️

Fred’s place was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Plenty of parking for our transit van and a great pub across the street. We loved sitting on the porch and would definitely stay again!!

Lovely, clean, and well-stocked place to stay! It was so generous of our host to have a few cold drinks and snacks available, after a long travel day, it made it feel like home. Lots of top-notch little parks nearby to go for a stroll.

My friends and I loved staying here. We had stayed for a week to celebrate a birthday and the place was very cozy and clean. The furnishings were great, and our hosts were very receptive and friendly. They had even gotten a bonfire started in the fire pit for us so we could enjoy their lovely patio in the back yard. The location is safe and walkable, with a restaurant plaza within walking distance full of great options. For the price, location, and all of the amenities, this place is a gem to say at, and Brian and Kari were gracious hosts who made sure we stayed comfortable for the entire stay. Would highly recommend!

This was a wonderful solo retreat location. I loved having both a front and rear balcony to sit on and read and enjoy the beautiful weather. I've been to the area before and knew I wanted to be within walking distance of the downtown and small shops. The local was perfect and the privacy was excellent. Having a front main security door and then a security door to the apartment made everything feel very safe but still easily accessible. There was both a parking lot and on-street parking in immediate proximity to the building on a picturesque street. Amenities were excellent and the host was friendly in any messages needs. Highly recommend a stay here

We enjoyed staying here. So relaxing, comfortable, clean, stocked with supplies and treats. Everything, including a comfortable bed, that we needed for a good stay. The patio was our favorite spot to listen to the distance trains and fun birds. (so close to get on freeways too)

overall, I'm very happy with the stay! I was told the shower head got broke during the last person's stay and I was warned that it may or may not be fixed before my arrival, which was fine, I was looking forwards to a bath anyways. To my surprise upon arrival it Was Fixed! so that was awesome! Props to his maintenance team! The bed was SO comfy! Great location, top tier parking, 1st floor living, while I could see my truck outside my window was reassuring and great for lugging my luggage in. Thank you Adam!

I can't rave enough about these hosts. I had a lot of questions and they were prompt to respond. I also worked with them to have birthday decorations hanging for my daughter as a surprise when we arrived. From the weeks before to the trip, everything about my interactions with them was 5-star. The one piece of feedback I have for anyone considering this as a stay is that if you have any mobility issues, it might not be the right place for you because of the inconsistency of the elevator working. It worked when we got there, then broke, was fixed and broke again within a few hours. The stairwell is winding and narrow and I know it's out of the control of the hosts, but it's something to keep in mind. That being said, even though it was out of their control they did issue me a small refund for the inconvenience.

Good location and easy to find. On the third floor so if you are not able to use the stairs it might not be a good fit for you.

Definitely a one of a kind great vibe inside and out! Plus, La Bodega, a tapa spot that has been around for years, sits right across the street and couldn't be a better match for this Airbnb! In addition, it's clear that Jake pays just as much attention to his hosting skills as he does to the details in this unique place. Well worth the stay!

Ratings and reviews were all correct. Our stay was relaxing and comfortable. We were able to speak with our host if anything was needed. I strongly recommend this place if you're ever in town and need a relaxing stay. We look forward to staying at this oasis if ever in town again.

This place was very charming, welcoming and had lots of natural sunlight. It had plenty of space for what we needed it for. It was perfect for a little getaway! The hostess was friendly and communicated in a timely manner. Had no issues at all and would definitely recommend it to others. I hope to stay there again!

A tremendous host and a fantastic rental. Kansas City is an underrated American city and this location puts you right in the heart of it all!
