100% worth the stay Tulpe took amazing care of her place and loved staying in an amazing city with perfect recommendations. All that was described was visually correct. Very clean and beautiful home thank you for allowing us to stay and next time we are in Hilo we will be staying again.

We recently stayed at a delightful Airbnb in Pahoa, Hawaii, and it was an absolute dream! The house was exactly as described – truly wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth and hospitality by our hosts. They even gave us a lovely tour of their lush gardens, which was a delightful surprise.The home itself was equipped with everything we could possibly need. We had an abundance of towels, linens, and cooking supplies, making our stay comfortable and convenient. Staying here truly enhanced our Hawaiian vacation, and we couldn't be more grateful for the experience. Highly recommend this charming place to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable stay in Pahoa!

One of my favorite Airbnbs I’ve stayed at and easily the best host I’ve had. We were given a tour and tons of local recommendations. The place itself was well decorated and felt very homey.

Loved the stay here! Situated just next to the downtown area, combination of some peacefulness & privacy with convenience. Clean and tidy room. The fully-equipped kitchen had every utensils needed, a toaster oven and a coffee pod machine with 5 pods. Also had salt and pepper so we didn’t have to bring them. Helped us save some money. About parking: for me, instructions were a little confusing. Best to park at the NORTHERN side of the complex (not where the google map leads you). Find route to Hale Inu Sports Bar and - when you reach the left turn on the side just before the complex - enter that way. You’ll find plenty of space there. As written in the descriptions, note that the unit is on 3rd floor with no elevators. We knew that so that was not much of a trouble. Overall, good deal for the price!

Truly an oasis! Dana and Gregory are wonderful hosts and Rivendell was one of our favorite Air BnB stays. The apartment was spotless and well-stocked, the bed was so comfortable, and the hot tub was very well-maintained and heated quickly. Now for the best part! The landscaped property and waterfall made for peaceful mornings and restful evenings. We wished we were staying longer. Mahalo for the perfect weekend stay! We will be back!

the Jungle Hut was everything we wished for and more. Liz was an incredible host, who is helpful, friendly, caring and highly attentive. The location was an amazing sight, literally in a jungle surrounded by gorgeous plants and animal life.

Seaview is always a joy, so close to Kehena Beach and lots of nice walks to look at the array of gardens and lifestyles represented there. The studio is small but has everything you need. The AC is great, I was always comfortable sleeping. Very quiet building.

We had such a wonderful time at David's home. Yvette was super friendly and helpful. She warmly greeted us upon our arrival and checked in us during our stay to make sure we were enjoying our time. David's home is so beautiful and comfortable. It has lots of great outdoor space for relaxing. His home is so elegantly decorated with many artifacts from the Pacific. The home is located in a quiet, peaceful and beautiful neighborhood in Pahoa. It is very close to Kahena Beach. This is by far the nicest Airbnb we have ever stayed in. It truly was a spectacular stay. We were sad to leave it and are already planning our next trip back. Mahalo for everything!!

We came during beetle season, but that had nothing to do with how awesome this Airbnb site is. Very nice, newer build house. Very clean, outdoor shower to wash off the sand, very informative host instructions to keep the place clean of bugs during beetle season. This was perfect for our group of 8 (4 adults, 4 kids).

My wife and I spent four nights in the penthouse unit of Jenn and Kristian’s beautiful home. We loved our time there. The unit was in good condition and comfortably furnished and the private rooftop terrace was perfect for early morning stargazing.

Dusty and Luba thought of everything! They gave us great tips for daily activities and were very responsive to any questions we had during our stay. Beautiful home and neighborhood!!

We’ve been on the Big Island for about a month, staying at different Airbnbs, and we truly wish we had spent the entire time here. This place is by far the most peaceful, beautiful, and grounding spot we’ve experienced. It’s simple in the best way—functional, uncluttered, and thoughtfully put together. The surrounding wildlife, lush trees, and serene privacy make it feel like a true escape, yet you’re still just minutes away from great coffee shops and town. It’s the perfect balance of nature and convenience. We’re already dreaming of coming back.

Absolutely loved our stay! This Airbnb is a hidden gem nestled in a serene rainforest—waking up each morning to birdsong and sipping coffee on the back porch while watching colorful birds flit through the trees was pure magic. The home itself was comfy, clean, and just the right size for our family of four. John is a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the area. His insider tips led us to some stunning local beaches and made our visit to Volcanoes National Park even more memorable. If you’re looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway with unique local experiences, this is the place. Highly recommend!

Really fun place to stay. My kids caught lizards and frogs outside. The decor inside was very retro and pleasant. We ate out on the balcony every day. Thank you!

If you want to be one with nature, this is the place! Waze took us right to it without any problem. It is DARK so the stars are amazing but bring a flashlight or headlamp. Stock up on groceries before you arrive. We prepared most meals in the well equipped kitchen and enjoyed our peaceful stay very much. There are some great hikes, beaches (with sea turtles!) and hot pools nearby.

The pictures don’t do the place justice. Great location, beautiful and pristine place to be at. Our hosts were great and very accommodating. Definitely consider staying with them!

Unit was very clean and host provided good information-follow her instructions to find unit. Condo community is a bit aged/in need of maintenance but the unit was very well maintained. We used laundry and this worked very well.

Linda was so quick to answer and her place was even better than pictured. Completely modern and updated, with a super warm feel! Had all of the appliances you could need, and the location was great. Surrounding area was beautiful. Would absolutely stay here again and truly recommend it!!

My daughter and I came for my son’s UH Hilo graduation and I invited her Dad to stay with us as well. The 3 of us really enjoyed Liza’s place. The kitchen is fantastic- really modern & extremely well equipped. We appreciated the large fridge with filtered water & ice in the door. 2nd bathroom was very handy when we were all getting ready. Location is only 5 min drive to downtown or less. I really can’t think of any negatives or items to be aware of - it was better than described, one of the best places we’ve stayed. We didn’t use the pool so I can’t comment on that. Garbage was easy to find. We didn’t use complex’s laundry either so I have no comment about that. I was surorised that we didn’t hear much from the other units. It’s a quiet building and everyone we passed was friendly. If you’re sleeping in the primary suite, be forewarned there is noise from the road below which gets loud at times. I messaged her twice with Qs and she replied super quickly. Thx for a great stay Liza!

Joe and Cindy’s place in Hilo was a great base of operations for all the adventuring we had lined up while visiting the area. The location is walkable to several great restaurants, shops, Ola Brewing, and 7-11(best musubi on the island). The bed was super comfortable. The space was clean, uncluttered, and felt larger than the description would insist. Loved the tv hidden in a frame with vintage Nintendo games and two wireless controllers. The hosts are responsive when asked a question. There was an unfortunate issue that happened on the grounds in front of the lanai while we were there. They addressed the issue showing aloha hospitality when things didn’t go perfectly. The scooters they have available for rent were in great condition and super convenient for getting distances that are borderline walkable. Hilo is a great little downtown. So many cool things to do and see! Mahalo, Joe and Cindy! We now love Hilo!

The view was amazing. Went down to the cove, right out back, daily to snorkel with the turtles. Saw whales from the balcony. Well stocked for dishes/towels/snorkeling gear. Small pool but it was nice. Nice chaise lounges on the balcony. Great communication with owner. Enjoyed our stay. Would stay again in a heart beat.

Staying with James's Mila Airbnb was a pleasure, The Location was perfect and the home was cozy and clean. The Host was always available to answer our questions. Highly Recommended!
