Nyree and Jeff were the perfect hosts and their home in Proissans is just idyllic. We had 6 wonderful days there and wished we’d booked longer. The setting is so beautiful, the gite is lovely, cosy and well appointed, we loved the animals and the pool, and Nyree and Jeff were so kind and welcoming. There is lots to do in the surrounding areas and Nyree and Jeff made some great recommendations including canoeing along the dordogne and a visit to Chateau des Milandes. We would 100% recommend a stay and hope to return again next year.

We have just had a jolly spiffing holiday at Petit Grange! Monpazier is of course as beautiful as ever and the beer at Biere De Las Bastide still as quaffable, and all just 5 mins walk away! Petite Grange was perfect for our stay, having ample room to accommodate four adults. Everything you need has been thoughtfully included and all is clean and fresh as you'd expect from top notch hosts. Although we didn't try the pool or hottub (it being out of season) we found the garden and veranda offered both sunshine and shade, along with stunning views and a much-used BBQ, indeed if it wasn't such a beautiful area with much to see we could happily just hang out at Petite Grange - and will definitely return! What a fabulous gite in a wonderful location to explore the best of the Dordogne. 10 minutes from Terrasson, a beautiful old town on the river, spoilt for choice for great restaurants… or simple chilled evenings taking in the views. Jenny (& Fleur) is the perfect host, going above and beyond to ensure you have a perfect stay. Not intrusive but if you a fancy a glass of wine she will be on hand! (thank you for ours) We would return in a heartbeat and hopefully soon. Would highly recommend.

We had a very nice stay with Sofie and Irm. After a long drive, we arrived very late in the evening, in the dark. Nevertheless, we were received with great kindness by Sofie and we immediately saw: this is a wonderful place. The gite is equipped with all comforts, is super clean and very nicely decorated. The grounds are very large, beautiful and definitely worth exploring. Monpazier is within walking distance of many good restaurants. Sofie and Irm are very sweet hosts. They are always up for a chat, give valuable tips, and gave us fresh eggs every few days. You can really see that they enjoy receiving guests and making them feel at home. We had a wonderful stay at april and max’s (4 adults and a 1 and 4 year old). The house is in a beautiful and peaceful setting with lots of lovely places a short drive away. April and Max were such warm and kind hosts - we had a minor incident with one of our children while on holiday and they couldn’t have been more helpful. The house was clean and had everything we needed with great facilities - we felt it was better in real life than the pictures. We would definitely return if coming back to the area 😊

We stayed for a month enjoyed a very relaxing time. Marie Christine could not have been more helpful. The village is beautiful and busy during the day but very quiet at night with limited restaurants open. But it is open with all the restaurants at lunch time. The Bar in the centre of the village was very friendly and we would recommend the hotel in the village for food! The walks were sublime - if you love walking you will love it here. Marie Christine was super helpful and hospitable - even when we accidentally broke her fridge - a truly lovely lady. If you like quirky you will love it here.

Very peaceful and relaxing, wonderful place to stay with everything you need,

the house was extremely comfortable and had a lovely fenced garden and super terrace. we enjoyed coming home there. the distance from facilities was doable with sarlat 14 mins away.

We had a great stay in Fleurac, the house was just as it was advertised - lovely. We have been to the area before and have friends near by - but we still found lots of places that were new to us. Lauren's communication from the start was great and finding and getting into the house was very easy. The house had good wifi and parking was right next to the entrance. The church next door was lovely as was the surrounding area. We would definitely stay again as it was ideal to relax and enjoy country life.

Wow, what a place. The view is fantastic. The cottage is fine. I'm glad there are two showers. We were allowed to use the pool and that was really great! The hosts are very nice and offer help where needed.

The promise of calm, nature and rest is at the rendezvous. Well located 30 minutes from everything you need to see in this area. We recommend.

As good as it gets! We’ve had a lovely stay and felt at home in the gite which has everything we needed. But more importantly the location is unique with amazing views and horses grazing nearby. Laurence and Alain took the time to show us around the estate, and we’ve had a few lovely surprises. Thanks for all the tips and for the warm welcome.

Peaceful stay under the sign of nature and authenticity, we really enjoyed it! Thank you for bringing these old buildings to life, as they have a soul. Nothing is missing in this house where we felt at home. We'll be back without any worries!

We had such a wonderful week staying at The Walnut Gite. Caroline and Jerry were fantastic hosts giving us lots of super recommendations and always on hand to answer any questions. The location is stunning and perfect for a family get away with the dog, with plenty of nearby attractions but far enough away for peace and quiet. The gite is beautifully decorated with anything and everything you might need during the stay. Highly recommend and we’ll be back for sure.

We had a great time, a soothing environment with breathtaking views. A cottage can be more pleasant, cozy and very well equipped. A wood burning stove that gives a real charm to the cottage as well as its pool. Our hostess's recommendations were good advice. A beautiful area that will easily fall in love with and a pleasant local population. Lots of places to visit all of great beauty.

We were met by his beautiful dogs on arrival making us feeling immediately welcome, followed by Gideon who welcomed us like we were part of the family. Gideon and his wife couldn’t have done enough, always being around for a chat, or just for a quick wave and smile. This truly is the most peaceful and beautiful setting to escape the reality of city life. The house its self was beautiful with vaulted ceilings and exposed original brick, they have got the perfect balance of rustics and contemporary. We couldn’t fault a thing and whoever gets to stay here next, is sure to love it just as much as we did!

Claire-Louise and Bruce were lovely hosts and the accommodation, surroundings and facilities were spotlessly clean, idyllic, beautiful and very peaceful. The ultimate recommendation is to say ‘we will be back!’ Thank you so much folks.

Very interesting quirky old house with lots of lovely antique things in it. It is set in a wide open space with swings and slides and had loads of amazing toys which my 3 year old grandson loved. He didn’t want to leave and said he was going to miss the very friendly donkeys and all the toys. We had a lovely time but sadly the weather was very mixed so we only managed to use the pool once. On our last night we ate at Azul in Cancon and it was excellent. Thank you Françoise and Pascal for a lovely stay.
