Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Latin America

If I could give this place a 10, I would! This is the second place we stayed at owned by William and Barbara. It is very close to excellent waterfront restaurants and shops. The peaceful quiet lake, with ducks, herons, turtles and birds is a perfect setting. This home was immaculate, and well equipped. The owners were communicative, and accommodating. They even left us a bottle of Champagne for our Anniversary. We will definitely be back.

The Firefly A-frame is cozy, well thought out, and the hosts are very communicative and responsive! We were here for the weekend and appreciated the small touches in the home – from local coffee beans and instructions for the french press or pour over, to a basket with treats, bowls, and a blanket for our pup! If you're looking to spend time in Granbury, this is a convenient spot.

The Sherlock Home is a great way to spend an evening. We had a wonderful time deciphering the various clues and conundrums! By staying the night we were able to work at a comfortable pace, took a break to get some dinner (got fish and chips to stay in character), returned and finished the puzzles with no time pressures. The puzzles themselves are clever, and the props are first-rate. There were several 'Oh Wow!' moments when we solved a particularly challenging riddle. If you like Sherlock Holmes (or if you just like solving puzzles), you need to stay at the Sherlock Home: It was one of the most fun evenings we've had in years!

We had an amazing time at this beautiful lake house. The view was absolutely stunning, and the peaceful surroundings made it the perfect escape from the city. The house was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the mornings on the deck with coffee and the evenings by the fire pit. Staying at Miguel Angel’s Airbnb was one of the highlights of our honeymoon. The property is absolutely beautiful and peaceful—just what my husband and I needed to unwind and enjoy some quality time together. Miguel was a wonderful host and gave us great local tips. On his recommendation, we explored the area on foot and ended up meeting a lovely local family who invited us into their home for an unforgettable dinner. It was 100% authentic Mayan cuisine, prepared with so much love. On our last night, we returned to thank them and were not only treated to another delicious homemade meal, but also invited to celebrate their daughter’s wedding. We truly felt like part of the family. The cenote nearby was a breathtaking and unique experience, and the backyard pool terrace felt like a private oasis—so serene and perfectly designed for relaxation. If you’re looking for peace, authenticity, and a touch of magic, this is the place. Thank you, Miguel, for sharing this special spot with us.

We were all blow away at how nice this home was. Everything was clearly marked. The path to the dock was easy to follow. My kids (22, 21, 14) all said they loved the unique experience of all the property offered. They said this makes them want to try another air bnb next time

David is an outstanding host, and the fishing cabin is on an amazing property that allows for seclusion and privacy if you want to relax when not casting a line. As a host, David often checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed and would even sit with us and offer fishing tips, which helped me as a new angler. Overall, Toledo Bend is an outstanding lake with surprisingly low boat traffic and several available guides for both crappie and bass, and I would not hesitate to recommend staying with David at Jack's Anglers Hideaway.

We absolutely loved staying at the Peacock Apartment. The place is even more beautiful than the pictures. All the reviews gushing about this place are true. The hostess was kind and understanding with our check-in, and it really was like a little Paradise in the middle of the city. The location is very easy to get to and close to a freeway. There are a lot of markets close by if you want to cook at home. We stayed in every morning and just enjoyed the gardens. There were also a lot of rocking chairs so it was so nice to just laze about. We will definitely be coming back here specifically the next time we come to Houston. Thank you so much Selia!!!

Great little spot! This is the second time I come and stay here because the price and location is hard to beat.. we saw baby dolphin jumping right behind the house at sunset time, manatee, and along the river there were otters and deer and just so much beauty! Staying here is one of the easiest ways to see the Weekiwachee River. It has everything you need: AC beds with clean linens, clean kitchen and bathroom. Be sure to be prepared to share the outside area though! There is another rental above and the yard is a shared space (something I forgot all about.) Everyone we encountered from above was very nice. Also noticed the kayaks were upgraded since my last visit! Wonderful weekend all in all. Will be back.

My stay was amazing, Mandy was very communicative! When I walked in, the place was beautiful and smelled so nice. Lots of towels were available, pool and outdoor area were nice and clean. I had no issues getting in. This area is walkable as well, I would definitely recommend this place to others!

I loved my stay at this Airbnb! The minimalist interior was stunning, and the furniture and decor were perfectly placed. We had a great time and the rain didnt stop us from swimming and enjoying the hot tub! this place is very unique and worth the drive. The town is small and the closest walmart is about 30 min away if you need Walmart but there are places to eat in town and a dollar store. The animals are very cool!

The cabin is simply charming! The structure is beautiful, full of charm and very faithful to what is shown here, every corner seems to have been thought out with affection. We came to spend our honeymoon and it was a very special choice! The environment is welcoming, quiet and surrounded by nature, perfect for resting and reconnecting. The decoration is delicate, full of details that make everything even more cozy. We had very special moments here and we certainly left with beautiful memories. I highly recommend it for those looking for a different, aesthetic and full of good energy experience. 💛
