Small beach cottage with sauna

Located right on the lakefront in the yard of our home, this small cottage has electricity, not an indoor toilet. Sauna water is taken from the lake with a pump, but you can get drinking water from the faucet of the main house. One of the beds is 160cm and the other is a retractable couch. A rowing boat at your disposal and one (or 2) lightweight kayak. On the beach, it is recommended to wear swimming shoes (small stones at the beginning). 15 km to the city and about 8 km to the village of Siilinjärvi. The nearest store is about 4 km and the gas station is 3.7 km away.

In this unique and peaceful cottage, it is easy to relax while watching the beautiful lake landscape. In the middle of nature, a beautiful 55m² cottage and a new 30m² yard building, as well as a large terrace and barbecue area. Air heat pump and fireplace in use. Close to good fishing, berry picking, and outdoor terrain. Kuopio 35 km, Riistavesi 10 km. The renter has access to a sup board and a rowing boat, as well as a wifi connection. If necessary, linen/towel rental 10e/person, final cleaning 80e extra. The price includes the use of the hot tub.

Dumbbell mill by the rapids

Welcome to stay in Pölja's old rapids mill! This two-story two-room log home has a luxury double bed and four extra beds. There are air source heat pumps, a bathroom, an entire downstairs width of underfloor heating, a bar counter, and a large terrace for the rapids. You'll get a good night's sleep while listening to the roar of the rapids. From the window you can also see the dam. The mill was built in the early 20th century and has once also operated a summer cafe and a dance restaurant.

Check-in was effortless and flexible and the arrival instructions were very comprehensive. Idyllic granny's cottage, where you can also enjoy a sauna in the yard! Water supply in the sauna was easy and the wood was ready. We searched for the key for a while, but finally found it. 😄 Thanks to the host!

Mauno’s place was idyllic. Just as the photos and description but even better in our opinion. The Mökki is directly by the lake with swimming from the jetty or the small beach. The Sauna was lovely, with a view of the lake. Beds were comfy, the kitchen has everything you need. We picked berries in the forest close by. Perfect for families. It’s been our children’s favourite holiday. Mauno and his wife made us feel very welcome when we arrived and really respect your privacy. We would love to come back one day.
