Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Lancaster

We came up just for a long weekend to watch the Pen-y-Ghent fell race. It was a family regroup so needed to be close to the railway. The cottage was lovely, had every we needed and everything worked. The hosts communicated everything we needed to know in good time and warmly which was much appreciated. There was plenty of information about the local amenities and had a lovely Father’s Day meal at the Bridge Inn in Tatham. The weather was a bit changeable which was a shame because I bet you can see a lot of stars without all the light pollution we get down south. It didn’t hurt the experience at all and we would definitely book again. Just need better knees to explore the locality. Thanks Alison and Simon for a lovely stay.

Andrew's place never fails to satisfy! This is our third visit. Great value for money, clean, well equipped, massive comfy bed, private hot tub. bang in the middle of Morecambe with easy access to the south lakes and lovely local coastal towns. We'll be back! :)

Thanks Kath - my friends had a very enjoyable stay at your cottage. The kids LOVED all the sheep and cows in the fields and my friends were amazed by the beautiful surrounding views (having come up from East London!) Thanks so much. This is an absolutely wonderful little house, in beautiful condition. Clean, comfortable and homely, it even has plentiful toys, games and books which our 4yo was delighted by. It's within an easy walk of Morecambe prom, Morecambe town centre, Happy Mount Park, and a fish and chip shop. We would highly recommend staying here, and we hope to return one day soon. Really worth it! Mark & Rachel were great hosts you took the time to share and walk me through the full details of the property and its surrounding area. They were kind and responsive making me and my family feel right at home. The property is a nice stroll away from the sea front and conveniently across a Sainsbury’s for any needs during the stay. I hope to stay there again when I’m next in Lancaster as all my needs were met. Thank you Mark & Rachel for a pleasant stay.

This is a lovely home very close to access the town, the lovely Wiliamsons Park and close for a nice summer walk and dinner along the canal. House is clean, comfortable and has everything you need. Samantha was a lovely responsive host.

The house was plenty big enough for 5 of us, an added bonus of having 2 bathrooms when there's a few of you. The kitchen was the best equipped kitchen we have ever stayed in, I cooked a Sunday roast there and it was lovely to have a dishwasher to take care of all the pots. Simba next doors dog was an added bonus for us he was there every morning ready for a walk in the orchard or field with us. We saw peacocks, hares and hedgehogs whilst staying here. Matthew was kind enough to show us all some hedgehogs they were rehabilitating and told us about future plans they had for the surrounding area. A very enjoyable stay for us all in the countryside

We had a lovely stay; the location is wonderful, surrounded by farmland with baby lambs overlooking the seating area! The apartment is very well specced and looked after, with a small garden house further up the hill opposite and an amazing river a short walk across the fields where we went for a swim. The photos do not do the property justice, it is a gem. Would definitely come back to use as a quiet base to explore the lakes from again.

Really happy with our stay! We couldn’t check in until late but the process was seamless, thanks to the clear instructions. Nice parking in a private area. The place felt very secure with CCTV outside. Was also lovely inside, clean and had everything we needed. Was conveniently located for everything we needed, such as getting to the train station etc. Would definitely recommend this place and the value for what we paid was amazing.

Ray and Sue were extremely responsive throughout, they met us and showed us around the apartment. They were very friendly and advised if we needed anything else we could reach out to them. The apartment was exactly as described, clean, loads if room, and we had very comfy beds. We had every item required in the kitchen, plus juice, milk and chocolate biscuits in the fridge which was a lovely gesture, plus tea, coffee, and sugar. Everything was to hand. We had a great stay, I would definitely recommend this accommodation, and our hosts Ray and Sue were brilliant. Thank you so much. X

A lovely loft - perfect and just what we needed for our 2 day mini-break. The loft was much bigger than we anticipated so that was a lovely surprise. The little touches were great too - fresh towels, milk, butter, instructions for the hot tub, even some jigsaws for the rainy afternoon. Everything we needed. The outdoor space was so peaceful. Even though we were on the farm’s property, we felt right at home, comfortable and had the privacy we wanted. The neighbours were adorable - cows and their calves! The outdoor space was secure for our two dogs. Plenty of room for them to stretch their legs and play on the grass. Thanks for a great stay!

What a fabulous few days me and my boys had ..I’ve never seen them so relaxed (ages 35 and 37 )x I think it was the lovely energy we felt in the beautiful Nest xx looking out over the river each morning set us up for the day. Would recommend 100% , we had everything we needed ..I couldn’t fault it ..the bedrooms immaculate and the beds /bedding were soft clean and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the gym and pool offer also x staff there were lovely at the Swan Hotel. Thank you xx

Exactly as described. Set up with everything needed for a self catering stay. Central location to shops and beach. The flat decor is a little tired but was clean and comfortable.

Absolutely peaceful and clean place. Debbie was a great host and the apartment is best for anyone to unwind after busy work. The peaceful surrounding, jacuzzi , and the sleep. If you feel burnout and want to relax, this is the place. Thanks for hosting us and we will definitely book this place again in the future.

As described. Great having a parking bay. We did book very late, but thankfully everything was ready for us. Good location, 10 minute walk to the centre.

We had a wonderful stay at No Eleven The Iron Works, even before our break started we had great communication from Glyn, with lots of recommendations. We arrived to an extremely thoughtful gift basket with lots of treats ( the jelly beans were delicious ) The apartment is beautifully decorated with lots of great touches, we really appreciated that we had everything we needed, we only ate out one evening because we felt so comfortable in the apartment. Nothing was too much trouble for Glyn and his wife. I cannot recommend a stay here enough and we will be back. Thank you so much to both Glyn and his wife for making our stay so amazing.

What a lovely flat in sleepy Sedbergh! Great location and very peaceful. The flat is so comfortable with the softest carpets too. Lots of extra towels and bedding available. A very well equipped kitchen and a lovely feeling of calm as soon as we stepped inside. Everything was really well thought out and very clean. We stayed for two nights but will definitely stay again and for longer next time. Amy very kindly extended our check out time and always responded to questions quickly. I highly recommend visiting Sedbergh and staying in this stunning little flat!

Wonderful studio, great amenities and well-stocked breakfast items in the room, available at any time. Plenty of useful products in the bathroom (makeup wipes, cotton pads, aftersun, etc). Plenty of pillows of different firmness, lots of blankets, some board games available in the room, great for a night in. <10min walk from the station and high street. Very pleased overall, would recommend!

Great Airbnb! Would definitely stay again! Kitchen had a great amount of equipment and spices available, living room was lovely with a smart tv, bed was very soft and comfortable, decent wifi to work from there. Highly recommend

I had a lovely stay. The apartment and the surrounding gardens were fantastic and Cate was really lovely. Can't recommend highly enough. I will definitely be retuning for another stay.
