We received a very warm welcome from Fiona when we arrived, the ‘check-in’ was smooth, clear and friendly and we immediately felt at home. The house is exceptional quality, located in a beautiful spot, drivable to local villages and also well located for easy motorway access. All rooms in the house are really well appointed with plenty of space for our family, including kids. We appreciated the little touches Fiona added, such as home baked goods, jams, eggs and chocolate. The house was perfect for our long weekend in the area, and we fully recommend this house to others - we would certainly like to return again.

Absolutely stunning cottage. Amazing location with beautiful views. Cottage was immaculate with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. We had a lovely short stay we used the games room which is a fabulous resource. Garstang is a short drive away if you want to eat out but to be honest if you want a quiet break in beautiful surroundings this is your place. We are already looking at returning next spring 🙂

Another perfect stay with Beverley and David. The cottage was scrupulously clean and extremely comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay with great open plan kitchen, dining and living area. Set in tranquil surroundings it was always a pleasure to return to after a day out. Beverley and David are wonderful hosts and great communicators. We hope to return again.

We had a wonderful stay on Jan’s beautiful farm. The accommodation was beautiful and clean and very well appointed with thoughtful elements throughout. Jan kindly arranged the rooms for our specific needs, and gave us a wonderful tour of the farm, animals and gardens (which included a peregrine falcon show!). The children loved holding the chicks and feeding the pigs in the mornings. Jan also provided great local recommendations for swimming, cycling and running. A great stay and we would love to return.

Myself, my husband, our two boys & dog absolutely loved our short stay! It was exactly as described. Richard was very helpful and nearby if we needed anything. Very peaceful location but not too far from the things you need. Lots to do nearby but also plenty to do at the location with the hot tub / BBQ / fire pit. It was just the break we needed! Thank you!

We stayed at the cottage for 3 nights with another family, and the space was perfect. Both bedrooms are big and comfortable. The downstairs bathroom also has a shower so it made getting both families ready a breeze. The kitchen is huge and there are plenty of spaces to sit and eat - outside, conservatory, breakfast table, a huge dining table and the living room. The parking comfortably fits two cars side by side. It’s very peaceful and secluded enough that we didn’t worry about the noise of a 1 year old and a 4 year old. We would definitely come back.

A fabulous weekend stay at The Tithe Barn! The property is stunning - spacious enclosed gardens perfect for the dogs to run around in. Outdoor seating and fire pit which we would certainly have made use of if the weather hadn’t been so wet, and of course the hot tub which was lovely and absolutely immaculate. Every room inside is beautifully furnished and so comfortable and the underfloor heating made everything super toasty. A great location, peaceful and rural but easily walkable into Skipton and handy to have such a lovely farm shop located just around the corner!

Definitely recommend staying here, not far from the city centre and other places. The house is lovely and full of lots of little touches which make it special. Anything you may need help with is provided from the host and makes everything easy to use. Our family had a lovely weekend in a lovely home. Thank you

A fabulous 2 night stay at Swallows rest, and we could have all easily stayed for a week! Beautiful location with stunning views, so peaceful. Looking out to fields with lambs (very entertaining). A home away from home, well equipped kitchen - mum managed to cook a roast on the day we arrived - lamb (awful choice on our part considering our field neighbours!), comfy sofas and even comfier beds! The accomodation was spotless and pristine! We were staying for a wedding and Emma was kind enough to recommend a local hair salon, which we then booked. A full length mirror would be my only suggestion but this was only so we could check our wedding outfits! Would recommend a stay here, a great base for exploring. Thank you Emma and family :)

An exceptional property, probably the best Airbnb of the many we have ever stayed-in. Everything about the space and the experience was first class. The weather was amazing, which helped with our break, but it would still have been outstanding without this bonus. Finally, a word of thanks for the owners - very friendly but in no way intrusive, they are clearly committed to making your stay the best it can be. Many thanks.

Beautiful barn conversion in a fantastic peaceful location. David & Lesley are great hosts & nothing is too much trouble! We used it to attend a concert at Anfield, which is a steady 20 minute drive from the property, perfect as long as you have transport and want a peaceful retreat. Sure it won’t be our last visit…

Beautiful property. Huge rooms the master bedroom was vast. Practical Beautiful location. Got to see calves being bor by the garden fence. Felt safe secure loved being there. Lauren was great couldnt ask for more

In a beautiful spot overlooking the tarn. Ideal for lots of walks. The space was great for our family get together - quiet, clean and well-provisioned. The gardens were also lovely - our children had a fantastic time playing in the woods, cooking marshmallows over the fire pit and pestering Stuart’s very tolerant dog. Communication was excellent throughout, plus all the info on the local area and things to see and do is helpfully provided. We certainly intend to stay here again. Highly recommend.

We really loved our 4 nights at Fox Up. It was quiet and the barn was great. The barn is well designed for couples and has everything you need. There are a number of well placed windows so you can enjoy the views. The bedroom was comfortable and the shower was great. The barn kept at a comfortable heat at all times. Cathy was responsive and we enjoyed a great walk with her and her dog. If you want to experience the quiet of the Yorkshire dales then this is the place for you

Had a fab stay here! Everything you need. Its very spacious and the hottub is lovely we saw a deer whilst in the hottub one afternoon. Hosts were extremely helpful lovely people would definitly stop again :)

We arrived on the Friday for a 3 night stay. The Barn is in a beautiful place inside and out. The Hot Tub was lovely on an evening and the patio fire was great to sit around for drinks early evening watching the Sun go down. Casterton village is only a couple of miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. The village its self had a gorgeous pub 7 mins walk from the Barn which had a great range of food and served Sourdough pizza on Sunday evening after 1700hrs with a lovely warm atmosphere and open fires. There is a great taxi service and some fabulous restaurants near to the Barn. The Black Bull and the Highwayman were fabulous. (We did go to Number 9 also and it was not somewhere I could recommend, service and food really poor.) Patrick and Anika were great responsive hosts and this is a do not miss property, that offers every you need for a fabulous stay. Our little group loved it. Thank you Karen, Denise and Naomi

We’re just back from a really lovely stay at Carrholme Cottage. The cottage itself was everything we wanted for a family of 5 and for a couple of days, our in laws, a family of 4 too. The rooms are much bigger than the pictures and the lay out is very homely and cosy but spacious enough to give everyone their own space too. The area is very quiet with a short drive away from Settle, a lovely historic town with everything you need. We welcomed Liannes recommendations for food and were very pleased with the pub/restaurant The Black Horse, the food was lovely and the staff were very accommodating. We had many walks out locally but our favourite was the Ingleton Falls walk (even with our 5 year old) which was a lovely day out. The highlight was enjoying the spa/hot tub after a long walk, which we all enjoyed. Lianne was a great host and I honestly couldn’t fault a thing. She has given us as much help/information as we needed and we’ll definitely be back again. The Ferrys

Second time staying. Great location. Easy check-in. House was great. Nice little garden to sitnin for breakfast. Loved the little welcome basket and was great having the parking permit.
