Family-friendly holiday rentals in Lakeside

We are so grateful to have been able to stay at Gwynn's place, it is so peaceful and lovely. Like a secret garden getaway. We loved all the small touches, and beauty of the space. Gwynn made us feel very welcome and comfortable! The pool is amazing and the outdoor spaces are delightful. Can't wait to stay here again.

I really enjoyed my time spent there. Not only the scenery was nice, but it was also quiet and peaceful. I also especially appreciated Jeffery’s hospitality and kindness and I would definitely recommend going back!

If you're currently looking for a place to stay in the San Diego area and have kids, stop looking. This is the place to stay! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carrie's property. Kids Paradise was ideal for our young ones, and thanks to Carrie’s thoughtful preparations, we had everything we needed for a comfortable experience. This made it possible for our children to have a wonderful vacation, while also allowing us parents to relax. I highly recommend this accommodation for families with children of all ages. We look forward to the possibility of staying at one of her other properties in the future.

Quiet location, exactly as pictured and described. Parking could be a challenge if you have a large vehicle but being able to park in the garage made it easier. Great communication!

Amazing little spot super close to the Main Street in Julian. We loved the private getaway feel and having bikes available to pop into town. The hosts were very accommodating and responsive. Would stay again and recommend to others!

This aprtment is a great value. You won't find a better ocean view at a lower price. The ocean-facing wall is all glass. On the extended deck you feel as though you're surrounded by the Pacific. Wonderful. We hope to return.

Cozy spot in a great location. A lot of places to eat, grocery stores and within walking distance or a cheap ride to / from the park. Camila was very nice and helpful! Definitely check it out.

We had such a lovely time at Jane's casita. It was so quiet, walkable to everything, and peaceful. Lots of birds to be seen from the patio. I'm glad we stayed here for our San Diego vacation and would definitely stay here again! Cute decor, too :)

Anthony’s apartment was just what I needed for my adult son and me. 2 twin beds in the living room worked well as another bedroom without the cost of a 2 bedroom. The kitchen is small but had all we needed to make bfast in the mornings. Helpful to have a parking spot in back and washer dryer in unit. I really enjoyed the location next to an urban park, pretty neighborhood for walks, and short walk to restaurants and coffee shop. Anthony was super helpful when we arrived.

Wonderful area with lots to do and good restaurants nearby. Great area to stay! House was clean and private. David was a great host. Would definitely stay here again.

This apartment was great! What you see is what you get. It’s a very beautiful apartment when an outside patio with plants all around. I recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in Tecate.

Kathi and Byron are great hosts and the place is beautiful, exactly as described. We loved our stay here! Just what we needed for our little family getaway. The farm animals were lovely; our toddler had a blast with them. The dogs were so sweet and welcoming every time we arrived. Great place! We’d love to stay again. The farm is also a short walking distance to Guajome Lake park, which includes a playground and trails. A beautiful place!

My partner enjoyed all the amenities and relaxing near the beach was perfect for our get away. The staff was friendly and showed us great stores and restaurants to go to. Would definitely book again.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Michelle has thought of every detail to make her guests feel at home. The property is absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean, and impeccably maintained, creating an inviting and comfortable atmosphere that rivaled the coziness of our own home. The kitchen was a standout feature, fully stocked with everything needed to whip up almost any meal. From cookware to an impressive array of spices, we had all the tools to enjoy home-cooked dinners, which made our stay even more special. It’s rare to find such a well-equipped kitchen in a vacation rental! The location is perfect for soaking in the local culture. Right on the beach, we loved taking daily walks to explore the vibrant Leucadia community. The highlight, though, was watching the sunset every evening from the living room or deck—pure magic! The apartment is, well appointed, spacious & complete with everything you could want. The gardens are beyond beautiful, with lots of interesting trees and shrubbery and even a walking trail around the whole property. The pool is lovely and child safe. We felt very safe, there was an entry code for the front gate and another for our unit. The whole house is located in a beautiful, upscale area.

Thank you Nicholas for renting us your beautiful house. We definitely recommend it. We are looking forward to rent it again the next time we visit California.

We canceled our plan to go to the zoo because my kids love this place so much—they just want to stay here and play, and they don’t even want to leave.

We had a nice stay at Teresa’s condo! It was clean and spacious. The location was very convenient for us with a lot of things in walking distance. Teresa was also a fantastic host. She was extremely responsive and proactive.

The location is unbeatable, and the views are breathtaking. Mark was responsive and thoughtful throughout the whole booking process. Once we were checked in, he reached out to make sure we were all good and had what we needed. I would love to come back here. Thanks for having us, Mark!
