Farmstay holiday rentals in Lake Victoria

Vividly remember the sound of birds and all sorts of wild life upon arriving. The quiet and cool night made for much needed quality sleep after a long day, this despite the somewhat hard pillow (but that's me being picky about my pillow), otherwise the room had all he basics. Really appreciated joining Juliet and Duncan for an African breakfast and getting to know them better...felt really at home. Thx lots

Jenny’s is so beautiful, it’s everything you need to unwind. Great amenities for a camp site. The river, a forest and everything covered in green. It was great. Her team was also very welcoming, the dogs too. 😃 I will definitely be back there soon

Our experience at Nyamai's serene farm exceeded all expectations, and we are committed to come back. Wycliffe and his family will do everything to make you feel at home. This Kenyan hospitality at its best! We stayed in the house for over a month with a family of four (two kids of 2 and 4 yrs old) and we felt part of the family. The house is beautiful, and has all that one may need. The access to the house is further from the tarmac than indicated on the Airbnb map. It is about 40 mins rough road which requires a 4WD. If you want to experience rural Africa, this is your place!

We loved our stay at Buyala Bliss! It is so lovely and peaceful. Gorgeous views of the Buyala Falls. Isaac and Claire were both very helpful and Claire is a fantastic cook! We wish we could have stayed longer but will definitely come back!

With Airbnb since 2014 also a host.This is our best and most memorable stay ! Oscar is a very special host. A night before booking and he reached out to us personally asking what our plans were.This is not expected. He cared and wanted us to have a good experience. Without his suggestions we would never have had the incredible stay that we did. We added meals which were delicious and an experience in themselves, sitting at the dining room table with Oscar was part of what made the whole stay incredibly unique.We learned so much as he shared the history of the local tribe, home and grounds we were staying on. Breakfast was magical, packed as a picnic for our excursion. He connected us with a guide to see animals. Sure recommendations from a host are normal but actually making the calls and arranging for the entire excursion with no extra fee, unheard of! It’s obvious he loves this area the people and home he has chosen to steward and host. For a more real Masai Mara adventure stay here!

Moses and Laura were excellent hosts and they and their staff were all incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. We had the most memorable experience . Highly recommend to anyone who is doubting whether to book. The BBQ evening was a highlight , delicious food and fascinating dancing and singing from the Masai tribe. We loved every moment of it , as did our 3 year old and we were lucky enough to see lions, cheetah , a python, elephants and giraffes and Debra’s amongst others on our game drives , - Mike was an expert in tracking down the animals and sharing amazing stories. We also got engaged on the viewing platform in Moses garden !! Don’t miss out . The cabin has everything g you need and a beautiful garden to chill out in

We stayed in both houses for the weekend with a large group. Hosts Oscar and Sylvia were super flexible in accomoding additional friends that wanted to camp, even last minute. Beautiful surroundings of the greater Mara area with wildlife around. Chef Richard made great food for us exactly as we had asked for and was very timely. They went to great lengths providing our large group with an mess tent so we could enjoy the outdoors even during the rain :) The staff was all super friendly and everything was organised well. Communication with Oscar was very quick and helpful. Would most definitely reccomend to other groups wanting to explore the northern mara area. I wish we had more time to do some local activities. Hope to came back sometime soon! Philip
