Family-friendly holiday rentals in Lake Victoria

Our stay at this property was exceptional. Norbert, the host, is kind, welcoming, and very responsive. He takes great care of his property, making sure everything is in perfect condition. The five rooms were exactly as described—spacious, clean, and ideal for our family. Having a washing machine was a huge bonus, especially with children, as it allowed us to keep up with laundry during our stay. Norbert also rented us his car for the two weeks, which was incredibly handy. The car was clean, spacious, and fit our family perfectly, making it easy to explore the area. The fast and reliable internet connection was another highlight, helping the kids stay on top of their homework and allowing us to stream and stay connected without issues. The property felt very secure, with CCTV and two lovely German Shepherd dogs that we adored. Abdul, the caretaker, was incredibly helpful, always available to assist us, even late at night. His kindness made our stay even more comfortable.

Pendo's facility was so beautiful and restful. One gets the sense of security; ease of access and the serenity from nature in the surrounding area. Pendo's airbnb facility is highly recoomended. To top it all, Pendo is a proactive, friendly, responsive hostess. We would happily recommend this facility to both local and international travellers. Thank you.

At Elizabeth’s apartment you’re gonna find a home away from yours. Security first off is great; with a day watch person and a night security team. The perimeter wall surrounding the premises appears top notch too. I personally never once worried for my safety, unlike previous times I’ve lived elsewhere in Kampala. The road close by is being used as a detour by several suburb residents, so expect a little noise during rush hour times. Besides that little noise there is pure serenity in house and outside, in the gardens south of the premises. The staff is ever attentive, so helpful, always smiling regardless time of the day, and most importantly so respectful. Even on cleaning days they worked on our schedule and never intruded in our space. The a/c was a little hard to work initially, but Elizabeth gave us instructions and it was smooth sailing afterwards. Observe the solar energy guidelines provided in the apartment and use the power meaningfully. Overall, this is a place i came to love and call home. Everything is as advertised, except that neon shower: that’s way better in reality than in the pictures. I would definitely recommend and also stay here again when in Kampala. Thank you Elizabeth.

Wir waren 2 Nächte in dem Zelt, was für uns als Familie mit 3 Jungs perfekt war. John, Johnathan und Jakob kümmerten sich um uns, wir besuchten ihr Masai Dorf und machten auch einen Tag safari mit Johns safari Landrover. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen, es war interessant und sehr nett.

We spent a total of 6 days at Innocent's house and it was a very wonderful stay. John, the onsite security and all-around guy, and Betty the property manager were both exceptional hosts. Bringing my wife and our two little girls , and my wife's parents to Uganda (Africa) for their first time might have been a challenge, if not for Innocent's property and staff. We definitely did not miss the Silicon Valley while we enjoyed our vacation by the golf course at a place not too far from both the airport and Kampala city, the accommodations were very comfortable for us. John became like part of our family (definitely went above and beyond his job description). Thank you Innocent, John and Betty, we already want to come back.

I must say I had a brilliant time at NVilla apartments. It's a quiet and homely place. The neighborhood has lots of modern and high-end properties. It feels really secure and has a full-time gateman. The rooms are Spacious and comfortable. Colin my host was very hospitable and quick whenever I needed him. The apartments are at the top of Mutungo hill and the view from the roof terrace is absolutely stunning. I had the swimming pool to myself most of the times- just the way I like it I definitely got more than I paid for. My stay there was really short though, but I'll BE BACK

Our stay on Bulago island at Tom's house was just great. From the house, beautifully situated above the water on the far west tip of the island, you have an amazing view over the lake, which gets even better with every step you climb up behind the house up to the hill, which is the highest point of the island. The house is fully equipped with all you need and Tom is an awesome host! We'll soon be back.

My family and I had a great stay at the cottage. My 18 month old had space and play... run and even a swing. We enjoyed the silence ... a great gateway from city life. The view of lake Victoria was amazing...( a true gem )

The place is sparkling clean and comfortable with a close walk to the main road . Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der Unterkunft und vorallem mit der Kommunikation. Giphon hat immer super schnell geantwortet und es sich nicht nehmen lassen, uns zu verabschieden. Großartig war, dass Giphon auf Anfrage extra ein Babybett für uns organisiert hat - vielen Dank nochmal dafür! Die Nuru Residence ist super großzügig geschnitten und wir haben die Abende draußen auf den Lounge Möbeln sehr genossen. Wir kommen gern wieder!

Came to Homa Bay County for a family gathering in Kendy Bay. Decided to also treat myself to Christmas vacation. I wanted a serene family setting and this is exactly what I got from the second I arrived. Warm loving reception, great food, amazing conversations during my entire stay. I have gained a whole new network of close friends in an instant. Shared pics with family and friends. My niece even came to visit because she was so excited what I saw in the ad matched the pictures I sent. Apondi made sure brunch was ready when my niece arrived. My niece spent REALLY enjoyed the food and company. She left with everyone's number so she can stay in touch. One of those times you dream of a place you want to go rest in and the whole dream comes true!

It was a joy for me and my partner to stay at Jenny's place. The location was calming and peaceful; a good getaway from the hustle and bustle of Kampala. The bnb is located 15min from Bule Landingsight where we docked with a boat organised for us by Jenny. The boda boda ride to the tucked-away sanctuary was just as scenic as the journey on Lake Victoria. We specifically enjoyed the privacy of the bnb including how quiet it was and the outside kitchen with all amenities. The birds and other interesting wildlife spotted on the property were an extra perk for me. The staff was helpful, discrete and dedicated to helping us have a good time. We will certainly be back in future.

This place truly is paradise - the garden is so impressive, you can feel the work and love that has been put into it. It is calm and relaxing on a next level. The hosts were so warm and welcoming, always happy to help with anything. We had a wonderful time, thank you!

We had a great time at this place. The caretaker was helpful and considerate. The private garden provided a great playground and featured the occasional wild birds as well as fresh fruits. Definitely recommendable

wow what a gem! we had a really beautiful stay with Alison. The views were unbeatable, the swimming was divine, we ate like kings and loved hearing about Alison's colorful life. we saw an incredible array of bird life and watching the otters swim up and down the bay was a real treat. her spot is really special. your stay in Uganda is incomplete without a stop over on Bulago Island.

I have stayed here on several occasion, a testament to the Environment and atmosphere of the place. a gem worth visiting.

Everything was perfect! The place and the garden are really beautiful and quiet, it's a birds paradise. It is located in a small village where you can walk around and meet the friendly locals. Mary and Tim were so flexible and friendly and we felt at home. We highly recommend it

Perfect location for a conference at Munyonyo Commonwealth Resort. Jones is very helpful and ready to help. Gave us a brief of the buganda kingdom, he graciously requested his driver to drop me at the resort on the first day. My friend came to see the place and loved it as well she took the spare room. I'd definitely recommend.

We had a fantastic weekend In Jinja. The place is so amazing and beautiful. The rooms are big and really clean, and the poolside and garden is a perfect place to relax and sunbath. The staff here is very welcoming and gave us the best service!
