Cabin holiday rentals in Lake of Egypt

This cabin was such a gem of a find. It's private, quiet, and surrounded by both nature and close by bucket list places to check out while you're in town. I never had to travel further than 30 minutes for any place I wanted to check out. The hot tub was clean and easy to use. The cabin itself was clean with everything I needed. I would highly recommend this listing as a place to stay if you're looking for a home away from home.

Beautiful place! Second time I’ve stayed and they are always super friendly! They make sure you aren’t having any issues especially if there is any change in the weather.

Beautiful home, a great place to relax and enjoy time with family! Everything was exactly as described. The hosts went above and beyond with their home it was very cute and comfortable. They have lots of helpful information with things to do in the surrounding area.

Cute house for a couples getaway + Dog Friendly! Hot tub was relaxing, fits 2 people comfortably. Had the AC on when we arrived which was perfect! Bed was comfortable! Owner was very responsive before and during the stay. Friendly, polite and informative. Depending on boat size, might be hard to maneuver. Roads in neighborhood and going to boat launch are not the best. Great location for Ferns Clyffe State Park and Lake Egypt. We enjoyed both. note: no one stayed in the airbnb below us which was nice. Overall, I would stay there again.

Beautiful cabin with all the comforts of home. Owner was responsive, friendly and helpful. The town and surrounding area are gorgeous if you want to explore, and there are great restaurants everywhere. Would 100% stay here again.

Wow! This cabin was spectacular! It is so chic and cozy. Very modern rustic. It was so clean and the landscape was beautiful. the hot tub was amazing, bathroom was clean, kitchen had everything, and the living room was inviting! We are seriously hoping to come back. It was our favorite Airbnb stay so far. Thank you, Jess! You guys are great!

We felt the cabin was very clean. We enjoyed the decor and the ability to cook out and even a day of just hanging out at the cabin when weather did not cooperate.

My husband I stayed at Linda’s adorable place on a cross-country move. We had driven 13 hours when we arrived and maps delivered us easily. The cottage (best word I can use to describe) was clean and filled with adorable vintage artistic items. My exhausted husband was willing to head into Carbondale for pizza and it was an easy trip there and back (16 mins. Each way). This was a wonderful oasis for us on our journey.

This was hands down the most favorable experience I’ve had with Airbnb. Not only were the location and amenities perfect, but Amanda is also an amazing host! Very nice comfy cabin. Kitchen was well stocked. The beds and showers were great. We did get to take a drive to the the cross and a deer visited the front "yard" the morning we packed up. Wish we could have stayed longer!

This place was fantastic! It had everything we needed. Beautiful surroundings - we felt like we were on a retreat. And yet we were just 30 min from Carbondale where our daughter was graduating from SIU. Hoping to stay here again later in the summer.

Spacious, well stocked and clean. Private setting but still close to town. Lots of activities such as the Wii, basketball hoop game and cornhole in the garage. The primary bed is a little firm and very high. Amazing deck overlooking the trees. Close to giant city state park and an easy drive to fern Clyffe. Was a great stay for a long weekend!

We just enjoyed our 2nd weekend away at the cabin! it's home away from home for us. Donna always goes above and beyond with amenities, has great recommendations for local dining and events, trails. Just enough space for a weekend getaway! We didn’t spend much time in the cabin and only came back for dinner and sleep. In the back of a very quiet neighborhood, we saw deer and other wildlife right outside the windows most mornings.

We really enjoyed our stay! The area was beautiful with a variety of hiking and we enjoyed soaking in the hot tub in the evenings. This was hands down the cleanest Airbnb I have ever stayed in! Would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves back in the area.

We loved our stay, it was very cozy on a chilly night. I loved the high ceilings in here, it felt very open and spacious. I’d love to do another’s girls trip here! We especially loved the fireplace and watching old movies on the dvd player.

Allison was a wonderful, responsive host. She sent links for things that my family and I could do on our short stay and responded in a timely manner if we needed anything. I will be booking again!

Peaceful, secluded property. Cabin had everything that you would need and more. Easily one of the nicest Air bnb's we've stayed.

We loved our stay at the Tulipwood cabin in the Shawnee Forest. The cabin had everything we needed and more, and was beautifully decorated. Everything worked well and the cabin had a "new" feel to it. It was very private, set away from other cabins so that you felt you were in the middle of a woods. While we did not use the fire pit or grill, it was nice to have them available. The bed was very comfortable, and we are a bit picky!! A lot of thought was put into making this cabin cozy and inviting. We highly recommend these cabins, and Allison was an incredible host and so easy to work with!

Loved our stay in this cabin. It was extremely clean throughout and everything was in very good condition. Our hosts were kind and responsive! The location is perfect for hikers with a 10 minute drive to Fern Clyffe or about an hour to Garden of the Gods. We loved the peaceful area set well back from the main road. If traveling with younger kids just be aware of the ladder-like stairs to the loft and lack of wifi or cable tv. But if you're looking for a clean and quiet place to use as a basecamp for your outdoor adventures or just unplugging for a while, this is a great cabin.
