Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Lake Hickory

Our stay at the A-frame in the treetops at Beech Mountain was amazing. We loved the location, which was peaceful with waterfalls around the property providing the sounds of running water. We enjoyed the views and abundant light and outdoor living space, spending time by the firepit and in the hot tub. What a gem!

Words cannot express how much our family loves this place! The views and family friendliness of it are what makes us come back for more. ❤️

The cozy cottage is nestled in nature with a lovely creek. It is beautiful inside and outside! The decor is gorgeous! Sean and Crissy went above and beyond making us feel welcome. The little touches - water in the fridge, sweet treats, breakfast options, towels for the creek, smore making ingredients were really appreciated. We would definitely go back again.

I had a great visit in this adorable spot right on the water. I was able to meet my new grandbaby and have a quick but relaxing visit. Would definitely stay here again! The courtesy snacks were a nice touch!

This was our 1st visit to NC. The impeccable house & secluded surroundings were absolutely beautiful. All the amenities of home & so cozy. Loved sitting on the front porch. We'll definitely stay here again if we ever return to NC.

It is very cozy for a short stay. It is about 14 minutes to Grandfather Mountain. Great communicating with Amy prior arrival, she greeted us at the entrance.

Highly enjoyed my mountain stay! The view was spectacular, the driveway was bit rockery than anticipated but my Toyota Camry made it up fine! It was very clean and cozy! The hosts did an amazing job at communicating and accommodating our stay. The guest book was adorable and full of fun recommendations of activities to do. I really loved it here, will happily visit this same property on my next stay!! worth the money and the view!! Thanks again!!

5 Stars — A Perfect Stay! Allison and Cory were incredible hosts! From the moment I arrived, everything was seamless—check-in was a breeze, the space was spotless, and every little detail felt thoughtfully curated. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests’ experience. The home was cozy, stylish, and had all the comforts you’d hope for (plus a few extra touches that made it feel special). Communication was quick and friendly, and they made sure I felt welcome the entire time. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again—highly recommend!

Loch Norm Lair is beautiful and relaxing. Great neighborhood. Just the peaceful week we needed. Rick and Judy are extremely friendly. Rick loves to share his boat and will take you for a ride. We sat and talked with them on several occasions and shared a dinner at a restaurant. The place is well cared for and a great deal, very reasonable pricing. It was a shame the sailboat wasn't working, would have loved a ride. We are already talking about a return trip in warmer weather to fully enjoy the water. Thank you so much for the beautiful week. M & J are the epitome of what I feel AirBnB is about. Having an opportunity to be in a “home away from home” vs. the impersonal feeling of a hotel. I loved that I had a space in the garage to pull right in & I felt very safe. I had everything I needed for my month long stay. It was clean, orderly, peaceful, & I had plenty of space for me & my dogs. The outdoor space was very nice as well. Margaret is super friendly & accommodating. We actually got to go on some walks & a few meals with card games & it was so nice getting to know her. However she respects your space too & everything is super quiet. It was easy to work remotely indoors from day to day but also get out & explore the area. There was plenty of cooking items, fresh towels & bedding. I had plenty of room to store my stuff and keep it all organized with the armoire, closet, roomy bathroom & plenty of hooks. Margaret was so accommodating for my dogs as well and I never felt stressed about having them with me. Can’t say enough.

Highly recommend! Quinsia was a great host, communicated check in details, checked in the next day to make sure we were doing well, very attentive! Everything was very clean and comfortable. Perfect location to walk to events in uptown! Would return if we are in Charlotte in the future.

My husband and I come to the mountains often and stay different places. The Glass Tree House was definitely a favorite of ours by far!! It had so many unique amenities from the waterfall right outside to many different coffee brewing options, a well stocked kitchen and the unique fireplace with plenty of dry wood to enjoy in the evenings. We also enjoyed the hot tub right beside the waterfall, very unique to this home. It was also nice that you could hear the waterfall even when inside and the windows were closed. Whether you were inside or outside you could enjoy the beauty of the outdoors from any room. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, peaceful, romantic and relaxing get away, this is definitely it! Thank you Ashley and Andy for making our stay so memorable. We will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay here! This cabin is cozy, peaceful, and quiet. It offers a great view of a farm, with sheep, ducks, and chickens. The cabin offered good amenities. The bed was comfortable, the space was very clean, check-in and check-out were very easy. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. 20 minute drive to Boone and West Jefferson. Thank you for a great trip and a great place to stay.

Place was absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed the outside covered screened in porch. Such a great place to just relax and enjoy the family. I’m already trying to figure out when I can go again.

Jason’s place is perfect for a short getaway. You can see the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains while you’re enjoying the outdoor hot tub. The place is small but very well maintained and thoughtfully designed. We had everything we needed and really enjoyed our time here. To note for those who are not from this area, there might be some bugs. I recommend bringing bug spray with you. Yet I was able to enjoy the place with a peace of mind despite my serious bug phobia. So it’s absolutely fine for ordinary people. Highly recommend!

everything was as they described it. there were universal setbacks that were out of their control. however they responded immediately and professionally in resolving everything with us. highly recommended.

We absolutely loved the cabin. The outdoor and indoor spaces were super cozy. We enjoyed the hot tub as well as the outdoor fire pit. The kitchen was well stocked, so we were able to make all of our meals there. The grill was clean and worked great. The cabin and the property were perfect!

We absolutely loved staying at Rivers Edge! Cutest little cabin with the best view! We got to see a fox across the river looking for some food and a family of deer crossing the river this morning before we left! Cabin was stocked with everything you need and the cleanest Airbnb we have ever stayed in! We will be back and refer all our friends to stay at this mountain paradise!

Great little lakeside gem. My kids didn’t want to leave, they loved the lake, catching fish, looking for toads, having s’mores at the campfire and exploring. The place is quaint, peaceful, clean, and relaxing. The only constructive feedback would be the shower is small and had little water pressure . This would not hold us back from renting again though.
