Lake house holiday rentals in Lake Gaston

Andrew's house was exactly as described and depicted. It is well-outfitted for guests, both inside and outside. His communication was outstanding both in terms of response times (pretty much immediate replies) and providing information. His house manual is probably the best one I have seen. If we were to return to the area, we would definitely hope to rent his home again.

Brian was very accommodating! Quick response when an issue came up (electrical at the dock which was out of his control) and we were able to work together and get the lights back working. House was nice and cozy, clean, and well stocked with supplies. We loved all the games, puzzles and toys to keep little ones busy when inside, as well as, the playset outside was a hit. We stayed for 3 nights and caught about 25 fish. Our son, who turned 7 the day after we checked out caught his first catfish and it was a big one, he was over the moon with excitement!!!

It’s difficult to put into words how incredible our stay was. We had two boys with us (6 & 10) and our 11 year old pup. Mike went above and beyond in accommodating us the entire stay. We would like to return to Mike’s lake house every year and make it a summer tradition while the kids are still young. The boat house/dock area is where we spent the majority of our time. It was huge with plenty of place to relax. The photos simply do not do the space justice. Mike had tubes and floats available for use and a sound system down by the dock. Playing music (at a respectful volume) made our stay so much more enjoyable. The depth off the dock was 10ft, which made diving into the water so much more fun, without having to worry about a mucky lake floor. The kitchen is new, as are the appliances. It does lake a dishwasher, but Mike had everything we needed to clean/dry the dishes before we departed. What a trip! We hope to be back next year if it’s still available.

The house is absolutely beautiful and a great proximity to the neighborhood amenities! We brought our kayaks and paddleboards and the kids were able to paddle to the neighborhood beach and had so much fun! You are very close to the neighbors in the small cove but everyone was so friendly and fun!

This was our second trip to this house. Beautiful location on Lake Gaston. Three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and full kitchen, plus lovely screened in porch overlooking the lake. We really enjoyed our time.

This was our family’s second visit to Jennifer’s Lake Gaston house for Thanksgiving and we so enjoyed our time there! The house is spacious with a beautiful and quiet location on the lake. It’s so generous of the host to allow use of the kayaks and canoe, which makes this place truly extra special. The dock and other outdoor spaces are also lovely and the area is great for taking long walks. Check-in and check-out were a breeze and Jennifer is an extremely responsive host.

We had so much fun at this home for the weekend! We brought our own boat and hung out on the dock all day and night. The home is cozy with a well stocked kitchen for cooking and a grill outside. It was clean and the host was fantastic. We highly recommend to future guests! This was our first trip to Lake Gaston and we will be back.

Thank you , Leigh for a wonderful stay at your lake house! Our boys (13 + 11) had the best time down at your dock. Plenty for them to do - paddle boards, kayaks, fishing off the dock. The inside game room space was also a great added bonus for them. We brought our dog, Wally and so appreciate when we can include him on our trips - so thank you! Would love to return!

We had a great time. We wished the water access was a little different but we found some boat ramps and water access areas within a couple miles from the home so it worked out for us. The house was great and clean.

We were really impressed by the home and all the amenities that the host provided. The house was well stocked, comfortable and very beautiful. The perfect getaway for someone seeking peace and quiet or a family to have fun. No question, this was a cozy cottage and the hosts know how to make you feel home away from home.

We absolutely loved Brian and Michele‘s place. The location was perfect – so close to the winery and so close to the lake. We were up here for a family gathering over Easter weekend and the entire setting really helped us achieve our Easter goals of being with family and having fun. We would definitely come back again.

When an air bnb exceeds your expectations! We were already talking about when we can come back and hopefully have better luck with the weather. Even with the weather we had an amazing time. The beds were comfortable, so many amenities, really everything you need. We came with a 2 and 4 year old and they also had a great time. Used the grill and the hot tub and the kayaks and it was all great.

It was our second time at Amy’s property, and we are looking forward to staying at her property again. The house is spacious, clean, and well-stocked. The dock is spacious and easily accessible. The house is ideally situated on a central section of the lake, offering amazing kayaking and fishing opportunities. Amy is also a great host - thoughtful and responsive. Amy’s property is one of the best properties at Lake Gaston, I highly recommend it!

Absolutely gorgeous location! We had fun in the kayaks provided and rented a boat we tied up to the dock.

This home was perfect for our family vacation! We especially loved the sandy “beach” area and play set for the kids, the huge table with room for everyone, and the beautiful lake views. Daniel was a great host! We would definitely come back.

My husband and I wanted a getaway for our anniversary, and this was the absolute perfect spot! The house is in such a secluded and peaceful spot and we were able to enjoy the pier / dock with a quick walk down the neighborhood street. Linda was very kind and responsive to any questions we had, recommending a nearby restaurant on the lake for our anniversary dinner! We also enjoyed eating out on the screened-in porch, and the master suite bed was incredibly comfortable. This is such a cozy and well thought out space that had everything we needed. Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area!

We loved this house! It had everything we needed and more for our Memorial Day lake trip. Leah was so kind and responsive to all our questions. We are so grateful for her! We absolutely loved where the house is located on the lake. The boat dock was big and perfect for our group of 11 people. The rope swing was a hit! We loved this house so much we want to buy it! Haha. The kitchen was really well stocked. Better than any other rental property I have stayed at. Thank you for everything! We’ll definitely be back.

The house has about anything you might need during your stay. I would suggest a gallon pitcher and some serving bowls. Anthony was most helpful, when I left a valuable behind. I got it back without much trouble. Thank you again for a relaxing week! Great host!

Mark’s place is truly a little piece of paradise! The home is very thoughtfully designed, VERY clean, (it even smells like “new house”) and has the most amazing boat dock! The photos don’t do it justice and we can’t wait to stay here again! We saw beautiful sunsets, enjoyed the fire pit, listened to music, kayaked, floated/swam in the deep water at the end of the dock, played board games, and cooked wonderful meals in the well stocked kitchen. Thank you to Mark and his wife for sharing this beautiful home with us and for being responsive and helpful hosts!

This was our second visit to Kerma and we will definitely be back again! Kerma is a lovely home with everything you need. The views from the inside of the house and dock were amazing. We enjoyed fishing, swimming, and floating right from the dock. Shannon even provides lake toys:) This was a wonderful family vacation and I highly recommend this host and house who was very welcoming to our family, including our pets.

We just returned from a six-day stay at this wonderful lake house on Lake Gaston with our daughter and grandkids, and it exceeded expectations in every way. We’ve been renting homes on this lake for over a decade, and this was quite possibly the best one yet. The standout feature was the dock—large, well-maintained, and set in deep water that was ideal for fishing, swimming, and jumping from the water trampoline. The house was clean, nicely furnished, and stocked with everything we needed, including towels and linens. The view from the house, overlooking a peaceful cove that opens to the main lake, added a special charm to our stay. The host was outstanding—friendly, responsive, and quick to answer any questions. Her attentiveness made an already great experience even better. It’s a great spot for families, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.
