Holiday rentals with a kayak in Lake Gaston

The area was super peaceful and quiet. The area the home is in is off the main and busy parts of the lake, so kids could swim and fish and we could dock the boat, without worrying about too much traffic or wake. The home was comfortable and clean. The kitchen was a nice size for cooking and socializing. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. Bring extra pillows and maybe a heavier blanket (if you’re like me and want a little weight on you while you’re sleeping). The kitchen was well stocked! The yard was great for the boys to play some baseball, have a catch. And there was even a dog waste bin with bags! The yard games and paddle boat were great extras for our kids to enjoy!

Brian was very accommodating! Quick response when an issue came up (electrical at the dock which was out of his control) and we were able to work together and get the lights back working. House was nice and cozy, clean, and well stocked with supplies. We loved all the games, puzzles and toys to keep little ones busy when inside, as well as, the playset outside was a hit. We stayed for 3 nights and caught about 25 fish. Our son, who turned 7 the day after we checked out caught his first catfish and it was a big one, he was over the moon with excitement!!!

When an air bnb exceeds your expectations! We were already talking about when we can come back and hopefully have better luck with the weather. Even with the weather we had an amazing time. The beds were comfortable, so many amenities, really everything you need. We came with a 2 and 4 year old and they also had a great time. Used the grill and the hot tub and the kayaks and it was all great.

We had a great time as a family of 6 (5 adults and 1 child), enjoying a Thanksgiving getaway on the lake. The house itself has tons of space, very comfortable, fast Wi-Fi, and matched the descriptions, but the real highlight was the amazing views of the lake and being able to walk down to the water and the dock. We also did some stargazing at night, and actually managed to spot the Milky Way on a particularly clear night, along with way more stars than you'd typically see just 70 miles from a major metro area like the triangle. Overall would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet lakefront getaway.

This was our family’s second visit to Jennifer’s Lake Gaston house for Thanksgiving and we so enjoyed our time there! The house is spacious with a beautiful and quiet location on the lake. It’s so generous of the host to allow use of the kayaks and canoe, which makes this place truly extra special. The dock and other outdoor spaces are also lovely and the area is great for taking long walks. Check-in and check-out were a breeze and Jennifer is an extremely responsive host.

Teresa’s home was a wonderful option for our family as a homecoming port for my mom’s 90th birthday. The5 bedrooms allowed us a comfortable place to settle down at night. The kitchen, living room and outside deck provided the space to welcome local family who dropped by to visit; and the perfect place for us to eat, relax or enjoy the beautiful lake view. We look forward to returning for another stay. I highly recommend Teresa’s home for others.

Enjoyed our quick weekend of family time with Grandbabies. Had a lot to do even though we could enjoy lake due to time of year. Would like to return during warm weather.

We had a lovely stay! Christine was so helpful. The location was great and convenient for getting the boat on the water. We’d definitely stay again.

This is just as a lake house should be, with beautiful views, places to hang out both inside and out, and a great dock. We both kayaked and simply jumped in the water. There was some boat traffic but it was never too much. Would come back again.

Jeff’s place was perfect for our weekend getaway! Great location, close to the campground. The dock was a lifesaver as the weather wasn’t great but sitting on the dock with a blanket and a coffee (or beer) was extremely peaceful! We will be back!

The Wee Blue Inn was a perfect choice for our family to relax and play! We loved the giant floating pad by the dock, the paddle boards, and kayaks. We had our own little party using the bluetooth speakers at the dock and the seating areas are plentiful. We loved the view from the wrap around porch too. The bedrooms were comfy and cozy with plenty of space. My teenage daughter put together every puzzle they had... and there was plenty. If you're looking for a place to stay at Lake Gaston, Matt's place is perfect. We highly recommend and would definitely come back!

Marc and Maryann place was great! Right on the river beautiful boat dock. We had two boats and 4 cars all fit perfectly. House was clean and we all felt right at home. We will be back again in the future.

This house was the perfect place for a peaceful, relaxing weekend away! It was spacious and comfortable, and we loved being so close to the lake, and the dock was beautiful! The screened in porch was great too, we spent most mornings and evenings out there. The lake is so peaceful, watching the sunset from the dock and listening to the wildlife was just perfect. We highly recommend this home! We went for a girls weekend but this house would be perfect for families as well. We hope to come back again soon!!

My husband and I Loved the place It was very clean and perfect for 2 or 4 people or a small family. Loved the dock and boat house great for fishing and or floating. Peaceful and relaxing. Loved that it was a one level home and short mostly flat walk to the dock. A great weekend get away. The only concern we had was the toilet was very shaky on the floor when you sat down. Still a very nice clean place would go back again.

This place was perfect for a weekend getaway ! The recreational area is great for a more private lake day and the public fishing/ swimming areas are not too far. The house itself was well taken care of and very comfortable! Summer was attentive to our questions and answered them timely and respectfully. Thank you again, I'm sure we will be back!

Natalia's log home was wonderful. It was clean, and well appointed. The pier and boat were outstanding. I've never rented a house on a lake that has a private sand beach. Everything was perfect. I can't say enough about the experience. I highly recommend renting Natalia's log home on Lake Gaston.

WOW!! Everything about this property is just WOW!! We’ve stayed at our fair share of Airbnb/Vrbo properties & this one takes the cake! Lanni has literally thought of EVERYTHING! All you need to bring is food, sunscreen & your clothes 😊 The rest is taken care of! Everything is labeled, organized & super clean. The neighborhood is so beautiful & peaceful and it was so lovely to be immersed in nature. There are so many fun activities at the house available for guest use and even with small kiddos, we had something fun to do all day! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this property & Lanni—who was also amazing to work with & made things so simple—we would definitely stay again!

We enjoyed our time at Michelle’s house in the lake! We have stayed here before and have always had a great experience. As always, she is available if needed and responds timely, never making us feel like a bother. The house is awesome and we had a fabulous time again this year! Awesome time spent with the family!

Fantastic cabin in the woods. Huge back deck overlooking the water. Bedrooms were nice size and nicely decorated. There were great little touches such as a basket of chips at the door many different options for coffee, ground or keurig. Honestly it’s exactly what me and my wife are looking for when we retire.

We had great time with family and it was a perfect location. The area was very quiet!
