Cabin holiday rentals in Lake County

We recently stayed at Jay’s place in Alma for a ski trip, and we had the best time. The accommodation was perfect and, honestly, one of the best Airbnbs I have ever stayed in. The level of detail he’s put into all the little things makes for such an exceptional stay. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a nice, cozy stay away from the noise but close to the ski field.

If you are looking for a secluded getaway... this is the place. The views are amazing. You can see every star in the galaxy at night from the back porch. The sitting area by the running stream is peaceful and serene. The cabin is cozy and clean. I will definitely stay here again!

Our family had an amazing time and thoroughly enjoyed our cabin stay. We celebrated my son’s birthday and Mother’s Day together. My son always likes to go on a trip/experience for his birthday and this was the cabin he chose. Picturesque views. Weather was great. The cabin really helps you feel right at home while soaking up the relaxation. We really had a great time.

Anna was an amazing host. The home was exactly what we were looking for and more. The property is a hidden gem in the mountains, with no real need to leave because it came with all of the amenities needed for a relaxing weekend. The views were immaculate and there were plenty of stars to gaze at after the sun went down. Anna was communicative before and during our stay and provided us with everything we needed to make us feel right at home. We’d recommend her to any guest looking for a peaceful weekend away.

Beautiful, well appointed home with tons of lovely little luxuries and touches that really made us feel relaxed and on vacation. The hot tub was great! Also really appreciated the lack of chores to do upon checking out - just take your stuff and go!

We had a great time. Thank you for letting us enjoy this beautiful little place! It was nice to unwind and relax. Had a hard time figuring out the speakers but that was fine. We appreciated all the stock in the fridge, that was awesome. The coffee was really good also. Thanks again!

My family stayed at the cabin for Christmas and loved our time there. Getting there was easy because of the clear directions provided. We maxed out the capacity between adults, a 1 year old and 2 dogs but the lofted master and open 3rd floor loft weren’t an issue since we were all awake at the same time. The main floor was perfect - we cooked all our meals there, ate together at the dining table and all hung out comfortably in the living room, they even had a tree & garland up for the holidays which was nice. A few things to note if planning to cook, the dishwasher is in rough shape and doesn’t clean all the way so we had to hand wash dishes when we arrived as well as throughout the stay. The freezer doesn’t quite stay cold so we had ice cream & ice cubes that melted. Overall it was a beautiful area and communication with Barb & David was great, they were so responsive before, during & after. We’re so happy we chose to stay here & made such fun memories as a family.

Place was extremely clean. We liked the area and really enjoyed our stay. Kitchen was fully equipped and it made our meals prep easy.

My husband and I stayed at S. Lumberyard for one night and had a lovely experience overall. The place was super cute and impeccably clean, which made for a very comfortable stay. I especially appreciated how conveniently located it was—just a short distance from downtown, great restaurants, and scenic trails. The views were absolutely beautiful, adding a peaceful touch to the visit. The only downside was that the TV didn’t work, as it kept showing an error message. It wasn’t a major issue for me, but worth noting for future guests. All in all, I’d definitely recommend S. Lumberyard for a cozy and well-situated getaway!

We had a great time at Brian’s cabin. Beautiful surroundings, plenty of space for everyone, fully stocked kitchen and upgraded bathrooms. The view from the deck is top notch. Everyone in the family gave it 5 stars! We enjoyed the history of the family as well. The directions were easy to follow to get there. The locals are super friendly as well. We would come back!

Lovely cabin that was the perfect setting for our family’s trip to the mountains. Close enough to Leadville for easy trips to town, while the cabin itself is scenic and private. Appreciated the garage and the pet friendly atmosphere. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We stayed at Buckeye's Cabin for a long weekend in early March. We were warm (thanks to the heater and wood-burning stove) and in close proximity to Leadville. The cabin is a time capsule to the historic west and is as-advertised! All three guests were comfortable. Though we didn't use the kitchen, it has authentic antique charm which is worth considering if you plan to cook. There are heavy-duty window coverings on all windows, but Buckeye's Cabin is situated on Highway 91 so expect mild traffic noise. Overall, we had a 5-star stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a "glamping" experience, any time of year, near Leadville!

This was one of the nicest stays I’ve ever had. I was at Dan’s cabin for 4.5 weeks, and it was just heavenly. I arrived when the Aspen were just budding and got to see them fully bloom. The cabin was fantastic. It was just my cat and me, so we had more than enough space. The bed was incredibly comfortable (I was grateful for that since I was staying so long). The bathrooms were great and the kitchen was SO well-equipped. My favorite part was all the windows. They were all huge and open—no coverings—so it felt like you were part of the outside with beautiful sights to see. The location was perfect for me—easy to do a number of day trips, but fantastic to come back to with privacy and serenity. Dan was always super-responsive! He had to come one night to move a huge Aspen tree from blocking the driveway to the cabin. He was always on call for questions. I feel so fortunate that Dan allowed me to stay. I hope to again next summer. It was the nicest time I’ve had in a long time.

Beautiful cabin in a secluded yet easy to reach location. Hands down the most well-stocked kitchen I’ve experienced in a BnB. We felt right at home and enjoyed our stay in such a cozy location. Would definitely return in a heartbeat

We rented all 4 cabins with our family and had the most wonderful time ever! The views were absolutely beautiful!!! There was plenty of space for the 12 of us to gather outdoors and enjoy the mountain views. The cabins had everything we needed for the week. The host was helpful and very quick to respond. We spent time relaxing at Twin Lakes Beach. It is just a short 5 min drive from the cabins. We rented kayaks and paddle boards from Twin Lakes SUP and cycle. The town is adorable with a convenience store, coffee shop, and restaurant. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Our family had a great time and can’t wait to come back next year!

Zuni cabin was such a peaceful and wonderful retreat. It was the perfect serene place for us to relax after long skiing days. The fireplace and heat kept us plenty warm and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals in. We brought our hairless cat who also did super well with our stay there - we were initially concerned with her being warm enough but the cabin was super comfortable for her. The shower water was hot and the views from the living room out at the mountains were spectacular. Truly, everything I could have asked for and matched the description perfectly. On days with heavy snow the driveway was plowed and our porch and steps were often shoveled upon our return which was a nice treat after a tiring day of skiing. Paul was super friendly, responsive, and helpful. I'd absolutely stay here again and perhaps book some of the neighboring cabins for friends/family.

Our stay was fantastic. You can’t get better views than what this house has to offer. Our host was quick to respond to questions and very helpful. The house had plenty of space for our family of four and was well equipped. We made almost every meal at home and had everything needed to do so. (Had burgers from The Mountain Goat Food Truck in Leadville one night and they were great.) We got an unexpected 10+ inches of snow and wow! The winter wonderland the place turned into. Beauty like nothing we have seen before. There were deer roaming in the snow and it was overall just a postcard worthy scene. Just a note for guests … we used Google Maps to get us to the house and it told us the house was on the left and it is actually on the right so we ended up at the wrong house and missed it again after turning around. The driveway is easy to miss! Also, as stated in the notes for the house, 4 wheel drive is a must, especially in the snow. Highly recommend this house and host. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This cabin is the perfect winter getaway. Super cozy with a fire place, comfortable beds, very well equipped kitchen and just 10 minutes away from the ski slopes. Wonderful!!!

Absolutely loved our stay! It was my bachelorette trip to come hike Mount Elbert. We explored Leadville (the most adorable town with so much to do and the best mountain views), Twin Lakes, and Buena Vista. There is PLENTY of hiking, and the views from the front porch of our very own Airbnb were serene. It’s so peaceful and lovely. Don’t fret about no heat— wood-burning stove, space heater, heated bed liners, and plenty of blankets make it more than cozy. The driveway is pretty full of potholes, is pretty narrow, and is steep, so just be prepared with an adequate vehicle! Can’t say enough good things!
