Holiday rentals with a patio in Kyoto

Ai's place is a great place with a traditional Japanese vibe but has modern facilities. Even though, we checked in very late at night, around 23.00, she was really helpful in guiding us to her place and showing us around. With one double bed and 2 futons, it was more than enough for my wife, my 8 year old son, 18 year old daughter and myself. The place was clean, separated bathroom and toilet, very good water pressure and hot water, it was a temperature controlled shower, so the hot water was very stable. Not to forget the famous Japanese bidet, very easy to use, very convenient. The washing machine was not available when we were there, but amazingly, Ai offered laundry service with NO charge! What a great gesture. Another amazing thing is, the check out was supposed to be at 11.00, but Ai let us have a late check out until 13.00 with NO charge! Most Japanese Airbnb even charge by the minute for late check outs. What an amazing, thoughtful, & kind person Ai is! Thank you so much Ai!!!

amazing apartment and decent host, the place is quite convenient and close to rail stations which can easily travel to Osaka & Kyoto, the neighborhood is quilt and friendly, the room had equipped kitchens tools which are tremendously practical, such a memorable journey and it’s our blessing to be hosted by Asaki san 🫶

The stay was great and our host was very responsive. The location is perfect as all three konbinis and a pharmacy are nearby! Would definitely stay again!

During the stay, we met the host and staff of three people in total, Mandarin Cantonese English and Japanese can be used skilfully and accessible.2, very rarely provided a babyroom and a baby cot, although we didn't use it... 3, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the condiments are all.4, Although it is not very close to sannomiya, there are two buses in front of the station that go directly to the homestay entrance (literally at the door).5, This location has a good night view, Kobe rises from the north elevation to overlook the city and the port on the balcony (smoking XD on the balcony).

First of all, I've been to Kyoto more than 10 times. This time, I attended the Kyoto Trail Marathon. I was the only Korean. I was looking for a place to stay close to the competition venue. Junko accommodation is a traditional house in Kyoto that is very old, and it is also a large accommodation. Junko's place is in my favorite location ~ In particular, it was nice to be able to cook in the accommodation. Buy beef fish from a large grocery store at a nearby Google Map. It's really good quality and the price is really cheap beyond my imagination. Also, there is a traditional gagok lesson in the morning, and the sound of the alarm was so refreshing and nice. And I lost my money during the competition I asked Junko. If you want to travel alone, you can fall in love with Airbnb rather than a hotel and take it all for 100 percent.🇰🇷🙏🙇🏼

The room was larger than I expected, full of amenities, and was very popular with my companions.Especially the towels in the amenities were fluffy and the water absorption was good, which was appreciated.A car is recommended because it is a 10-minute walk from the station.There are restaurants nearby, but it is a bit of a walk.

Good location, a few minutes walk to Tianmann Station (noon), quick to Mesotacho and Umeda, convenient to eat, drink, comfortable, comfortable, suitable for 1-3 people to live. Due to proximity to the train line, it will be heard passing by, but the volume is acceptable.

Spacious stay, quiet location, reasonably priced.

My friends and I stayed at James’ for one night and we wished we had stayed more days! The location was very easy to find and accessible by car. James provided us with clear instructions too to get inside the house. The house was a perfect stay if you value comfy. We really felt at home. We had everything we needed at the house. He even provided coffee machine for us to use. James is a great host! He’a very proactive and his instructions were very clear. He’s also very thoughtful of us. Provided us with everything we needed including umbrella for us to take home during rainy days. All and all, we definitely recommend to stay here. It’s perfect!

This beautiful tea house felt modern yet classic and authentic. I was thankful there were multiple AC units in the home and power outlets. The host provided a closet complete with extra blankets and linens. If you’re not used to sleeping close to the floor then you’ll appreciate the extra supplies for comfort. Side note: The home is proximate to other great tea houses and so it requires that all guests walk lightly and speak with their ‘inside voices’ after hours. To note, minutes after checking in, an elderly neighbor kindly implored us that she had past issues with folks walking at night by the kitchen. Her kitchen is perhaps close to her bedroom. Thankfully we were not heavy footed and gladly took her preemptive advice. That night I could see what she was talking about. If you walk along the kitchen floor you’ll hear the subtle boom of each step if you’re not landing on your toes first. It’s a gorgeous home and was perfect for the 2 of us.

Staying at this AIRBNB was an amazing experience. The host was on top of everything, and was so nice. 👍 I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for an escape from the city. The surroundings were breathtaking.

Location was accessible to the bus, the subway, JR train line as well as walkable from the main hub, Kyoto Station. A bit of a walk to the subway and train, but easy if you’re used to that sort of thing. Residential area, so quiet but not much for restaurants in the immediate vicinity. We took the 207 bus into the more downtown area for dinner most nights. Very handy convenience store, though. Tei was very proactive in his communication and the home was spotless. We would stay here again, for sure!

The place was even more beautiful than the pictures showed! Plenty of space to interact as well as privacy for sleeping. Incredible location in a wonderful neighborhood with amazing restaurants and cafes, and just a short walk to the National Gardens and other wonderful sights! The hosts were amazing and communicative. We were greeted with a matcha ceremony and had every need met. 10/10! Would recommend to anyone and hope to stay again!!

We booked this cozy house by the water last minute after a change in plans—and it turned out to be one of the best surprises of our trip. The host was incredibly thoughtful, turning on the lights and cooling the house before we arrived. It felt like we were being welcomed home. (Pro tip: follow the host’s check-in directions—they’re way better than Google Maps.) The location is super convenient—stores, drugstores, and bus stops are just minutes away. The house was a bit big for just two of us, but it’s perfect for a group or family. Three toilets and two bathrooms in Kyoto? Amazing. We’re already planning to come back with family. Don’t hesitate—book it!

Our stay in Kyoto was absolutely incredible, and a big part of that was thanks to Saki and her beautiful home. The house is spectacular—spotlessly clean, stylishly decorated, and perfectly located in a quiet neighborhood while still being close to public transport and great local spots. Saki was a fantastic host—kind, responsive, and thoughtful. She provided clear instructions, local recommendations, and even small touches in the house that made us feel genuinely welcomed. Waking up in such a peaceful space and returning to it after long days of exploring Kyoto was truly a gift. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we would absolutely stay here again.
