Banyan Bungalow

Manta Soul was a beautiful place to stay with lots of thoughtful amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and eating breakfast in the garden outside the communal kitchen. The property is very close to lots of beaches and other fun things to do in the South Kona area.

Romantic Kona Hideaway | Modern + Private Hot Tub

ScottRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We loved our stay here. It was restorative, peaceful and truly an escape. After long days driving around, hiking, finding beaches and being active, it was so refreshing to be up in the mountains to cool off. The hot tub was such a nice touch and I recommend enjoying it with no lights on to really enjoy the stars at night. Sundara was responsive and very helpful with recommendations. Her place is spotless and definitely a gem. We would 100% recommend and would return if we ever find ourselves on Big Island! Thank you!

Cozy jungle 2-bedroom cabin

EthanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Very unique experience. You are actually right in a jungle. With that you have some animals, insects, and noise. We had a small mishap with the ceiling when we first arrived but the hosts quickly took care of it and upgraded our rooms. The jungle rooms are a bit louder at night with the frogs and smaller compared to the other sites in the facility. Overall cool place and great hosts

Carson's Kaloko Mountain Cabin

ClayRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We loved our stay at Caroline and Scott’s cabin—it felt like we were staying in a botanical garden! The property is absolutely beautiful. We especially enjoyed the expansive front porch, the wood-burning stove, and the hot tub surrounded by nature. We’re already talking about another trip to the Big Island and staying with Caroline and Scott again. They were incredibly friendly hosts, and their rentals (both the cabin and the cottage) are conveniently located near everything the Kona Coast has to offer. We think their vacation rental is a great value!

Artsy Cabin with Kitchen, outside Bathtub; Organic

ChrisRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Caroline's place was just what we were looking for! Felt very welcomed by our host and her friendly farm animals! Beautiful garden and homestead. Great energy as you can feel the love and many years of work Caroline has put into her spread. Good people! Safe place. I would definitely come to this place when on this part of the island. Thank you again Caroline! See you next time

Honomalino Retreat.

DylanRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Very nice place. Perfectly clean and very quiet at night. She was helpful with anything we needed. Lots of children in the neighboring house and they were very nice but there may be some curious stares and loud noises at times when they're playing! Again, at night it was perfectly quiet and we were never kept up or unable to sleep. Just thought I'd mention because it was a surprise for us! Would definitely book again.

Very peaceful & quiet stay amongst nature. You’re up high enough on the mountain that the temp is moderate for sleeping.
Cabin in Waimea
New place to stay

Hale O Kapua

RajivRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Erin's cabin is a really beautiful and peaceful place to stay in Waimea. The view is better than pictured, with unobstructed Mauna Kea views since you're at the top of the hill in the neighborhood. The furnishings are tasteful and high quality, as are items in the kitchen from Mikasa and Le Cruset. The laundry room is very large and has enough room to hang and store clothes for those staying longer than a few days. In fact, the entire place is more spacious than I envisioned. The area is serene, which also means it's very dark at night. We never had any issues getting in, simply using our phone flash lights or the car headlights to illuminate the front door while we got in. For those that don't know, Waimea can get chilly at night, but there is a space heater in the cabin in addition to the fireplace. We were fortunate enough to meet Erin as she lives in the main home across the lawn. She was kind and welcoming. I'd gladly stay at this cabin again.

PonoMana Zen Cottage is a wonderful, lush retreat. The cottage is quiet, the property is surrounded by lush landscaping and citrus, papaya and native Hawaiian plants and has all the amenities for a great stay. Megan & Jeffrey were incredible hosts and responded quickly to any questions or requests we had.

Coral |Spacious PrvtCottage|Kitchen|Bath|Oceanview

SarahRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We enjoyed our time at the open air cabin. Our sleep was much more in line with the sun, and we enjoyed waking up with the birds. Beautiful view of Kealakekua Bay and the sunset. It's a steep walk to Manini beach, but a quick drive when you're feeling lazy. The hosts have lots of good recommendations for activities and food. The kitchen was well equipped, and we were able to cook every day. Not for you if you have a fear of insects, geckos, or grass spiders. There weren't too many insects or spiders inside, but you will see a few for sure. The mosquitos seemed to stay outside and weren't too plentiful in general. Hot water was inconsistent, but the air is always warm so this wasn't too big of a problem. We brought travel fans for the nightstands to stay a little cooler at night. The room is equipped with a tower fan and an overhead fan in the central part of the room. Great location and great place to stay in nature.

Budget Friendly Studio

JimRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The property is interesting and well described- simple and rustic. It's within a gated community next to the owner's house. You have two small buildings: The bedroom is an enclosed polygonal room with lava rock lower walls and wood above. It's rustic with a few gaps between the rock and wood walls. Bed was comfortable for 9 nights- the elevation makes it cool off to the 60's at night. The kitchen and bathroom appears to have been very recently finished. Shower stall is new, roomy, with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. There isn't a door between the bathroom and kitchen portion, but since this is set up for a single person it isn't a problem. Kitchen amenities and cabinets seem brand new. Fridge has a good sized freezer. Cooking appliances consist of a small drip coffee maker, single induction burner, and a small toaster oven. Between the two buildings is a wooden deck with a small metal table with two matching chairs and a pair of patio chairs with cushions.

We booked the entire property for our group and we had an amazing time! It was great to wake up to the chickens, cows and birds singing. Silvia and Olivia were fantastic with whatever we needed- which wasn’t much. Would stay here again for the same discounted rate.
