Within 30 minutes driving you can access Þingvellir and the start of the golden circle in one direction, or Hvalfjörður (whale fjord) in the other: a scenic area with one of the best hikes in Iceland, Glymur waterfall.

The Beach House is also in close proximity to the Golden Circle; Thingvellir, Gullfoss and Geysir.
