We really enjoyed Asa's place. It was very clean and had everything you would need: dishes, utensils, a book with detailed instructions on every major appliance in the house. Asa responded quickly to our queries and was very nice over messages, we did not see each other face to face. We would love to be back some day 🙂

We traveled with an infant and since no one was using the place the day before, Hildur allowed us to come straight from our flight! It was so incredibly nice of them and my daughter appreciated the opportunity to catch up on some sleep. Overall, the place is beautiful, spacious, and had an incredible review. I’d recommend this AirBnb to anyone!

Absolutely amazing Airbnb, well worth the money!! It is in a beautiful location with incredible views. The house is very well maintained and beautifully designed. Everything is spotlessly clean. The house was a bit warm when we arrived. However, the windows have screens so they can be opened easily to let in air without letting bugs in. There’s also fans in the bedrooms, so it was very comfortable and easy to cool down the house as needed.

Porbjorg’s place is our last stop in our two week adventure in the ring road and it’s been a dream to stay here. The house is big enough for our family of five, private, quiet and peaceful. It’s located in a farm with horses around and the most adorable farm dogs, with well equipped modern kitchen, comfy beds and beddings, and an inviting hot tub to soak in at the end of a long day exploring. We’re so sad to leave but we’ll have many great memories of this wonderful charming place.

The place is spacious, stylish and cozy! Communication was very timely as well. Highly recommend!

This house is beautiful and the view is amazing. We loved soaking in the hot tub while gazing at the glacier in the distance, surrounded by trees. There are stairs to access the house, but we were able to navigate them just fine. The nearby town had a lovely spa, Laugarvatn Fontana, that we enjoyed, and we recommend the restaurant Linden. We stayed two nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The host was responsive and friendly. Highly recommend!

A beautiful and peaceful place in a neighborhood of new construction, far enough away from the crowd and tourists downtown but close enough to get there in 20min by car when desired. Easy access to the Golden Circle. Was perfect for my family and having two bathrooms was particularly nice. Communication was always quick and excellent.

Excellent location - 20 minute walk into the downtown core, and there is a bus stop right out front (the buses are incredibly easy to use!). Great views. Quick walk to Nettó or Bónus to stock up on groceries. The free, easy, open parking situation combined with being located right on the edge of the downtown core make it perfect for visitors who want to spend time in Reykjavik while also having a convenient base for road trips. Nina is a good host. Would stay again!

Amazing walkable location close to everything the city has to offer but still very quiet at night. Apartment is very cosy and opens up to a lovely little garden. Host is helpful and responsive. Book here- you’ll be happy you did!

We loved our stay! The accommodations were clean, comfortable, easy to find and park, and a quick walk to amazing restaurants and shops. My daughter loved having the playground across the street as well. Highly recommend.

A great place to stay, close to the water, great views! Very convenient to do trips to the golden circle and south coast and around Reykjavik. Thordis was also an excellent host with very good communication before and during our stay with good local recommendations. Her place was also very comfortable, clean and made us feel right at home!

All I can say is — the rumors are true! This place is one of the best AirBnBs I’ve ever stayed in, and I’ve been doing this a while. Sigridur and Omar are wonderful hosts— they made me feel right at home, very friendly and helpful with recommendations for where to eat and shop, and generally very sweet and welcoming people. The apartment actually seemed a bit bigger and more adorable in person. I was verycomfortable

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Jon’s Penthouse. It was easy walking distance to all the main sights in Reykjavik, plus there were many restaurants and groceries close by. Since there was an elevator to the fourth floor, it was easy to manage with luggage. Even though it is in the city, we never heard any noise. The apartment is very tidy and has all the amenities needed for a nice stay. We did not totally understand how to use the hot spot, but did not need it since we had eSIMs. Each evening we watched a variety of movies on Netflix, which were much appreciated. Although it was pleasant when we arrived at the end of May, by the beginning of June a huge storm arrived and it was so windy, I could barely stand when walking. However, Jon’s place is a warm and quiet oasis in a storm.

We stayed at Gunnar’s apartment for a week during our visit to Reykjavík. The location was good and pretty central to restaurants and attractions we wanted to visit. We did rent a car which made travel much easier and the parking was abundant and not too expensive. The apartment itself was clean overall although some areas had some dust. No complaints here, it wasn’t a big deal. Gunnar did advertise that the apartment house(d) two cats but as someone with cat allergies I had no problem with any fur or cat dander. FYI, across Iceland the hot water is heated geothermically which gives off a sulfur smell, so don’t be alarmed. Thanks Gunnar, for allowing us to stay at your apartment during the week! Ken + Jenn

This was a great place to stay during our time in Reykjavik. It’s very easy to get to everything the city has to offer, but it is far enough away from the city center to be a peaceful quiet place to stay. We had everything we needed and more here. I’m so glad we were able to stay here, and would highly recommend it!

We had an absolutr wonderful stay - great location and apartment and a good place to stat, both to explore Reykjavik but also as a base to get around the island with parking and amenities close by. An extra plus for the communication and how the host made sure we had arrived and enjoyed our stay. Can only recommend!

This stay was such a highlight of our trip! We really enjoyed the location in a beautiful peaceful neighborhood, right next to the bike/ walking path that you can take into downtown. Helgi and Titti are the best hosts! We felt welcomed as if we were one of their neighbors. Such a joy to hang out in the garden and drink coffees and pet their dog :) they have lots of good local reccommendations. Can’t imagine a better place to stay either as a couple or a solo traveller- can’t wait to be back one day, a very special place.

This was a great value for us. Really a nice size with plenty of room for the four of us. I had some questions while there and they were answered very quickly. We also got some great recommendations before our arrival from Amos, very friendly and helpful. The free parking was a plus but we did find that if you arrive later in the day/evening, you will likely have problems finding anything close. Would still definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a nice place near town.

Kjartan was very accomodating to us and we enjoyed our stay in this appartment. The kitchen and other rooms had all the facilities we could have needed - this extended to more niche things such as a can opener which you don't always find in a flat! We were greeted nicely and the stay was uncomplicated. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet, as well as having everything in walkable distance. It is also close to a bus stop. The flat is surprisingly warm on the inside.

I cannot recommend this condo enough. This was a great place right outside of Reykjavík that allowed us to quickly go into town and provided a great jumping off point for our tours. The condo was welcoming and very clean - it is exactly how the photos and description describe it. The amenities were great, and the laundry was wonderful after long days. Also, Hannes was a phenomenal host. He allowed us to check in early because of an early morning flight, and was extremely responsive to any question I had. I cannot wait to return and rebook this condo. I cannot recommend it enough. Thank you Hannes for your hospitality!
