Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Kirkwood

The home is very warm and cozy. The location feels very remote, but it is a super convenient drive to Kirkwood.

Wonderful experience at this home. The neighborhood allowed for privacy, peace, and quiet. The home looked exactly like the pictures and was a cozy place for my guests and I to retreat to after a long day out. The master bed was especially comfortable, and we appreciated the heated flooring and waterfall shower head in the restrooms. We were also grateful for the amenities of a washer and dryer to manage our dirty clothes. The open space and natural lighting of the kitchen provided a welcoming environment. Our host Ally was very responsive and helpful as she guided us through our stay. We were lucky to experience some of the recommended restaurants in her guidebook. So happy we booked our stay here, and I'm looking forward for an opportunity to come back.

Neighborhood is private and the house is just like the picture arriving there it actually looked nicer than the pictures. House made it easy for plans as everything was nearby for to go to amazing spot would 100 percent recommend

The place is super clean and quiet. It seems to be recently remodeled. Appliances are new and easy to use. Convenient for driving to the South Lake Tahoe. The bunker bed provides good flexibility for different combination of travelers. I would definitely recommend and love to stay here again if we visit South Lake Tahoe area in the future.

Great stay with the family. We really enjoyed the layout of the house. The house was very clean and comfortable. Host was friendly and responsive.

The house was amazing. Phil was very responsive to a very small issue we had while staying there. The house was as advertised, it was better than the photos. The area is beautiful and peaceful. We will definitely stay here again.

Clark's place was just what we needed after our long days in Tahoe. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. His back deck is a great place to relax after a long day out and about. Inside was spacious enough for the 5 of us traveling to be cozy and comfortable in our evenings there.

We had a wonderful stay again at this beautifully maintained, cute A-frame house. We love it and we never have an issue. Can't wait till next year!

A perfect apartment in a beautiful little town, full of character and close enough to Yosemite for a day trip. Very comfortable bed and spacious living spaces. Would highly recommend, one of the best Airbnbs we have used.

We loved staying at this air bnb, there were a couple things missing or broken that we needed, laundry detergent, etc. all in all though great neighborhood and place to book for a couple of nights. For anyone else booking for the summer time, there was no AC although the fans work great and open windows at night too. It was perfect for smaller company, for us it was just 2 people and the area was absolutely lovely, we would definitely recommend!

It’s at a good distance from the various hikes and beaches we wanted to explore. All the breakfast and dinner spots we tried were from the list of recommendations given by the Airbnb hosts, and every place turned out to be great! In case anyone’s wondering, the property is surrounded by other units, so it’s not secluded.

Nice place would highly recommend staying here. It’s perfect for 4 people. The water pressure was amazing and we got hot water in the shower, place was neat and tidy! Note: if you’re a light sleeper, you can hear people walking on the floor above so you might get disturbed. If it doesn’t bother you and you can sleep through that mild noise, this is a great place to stay in Tahoe!

My boyfriend and I loved our stay! It was the perfect cosy space for a relaxing weekend. The private beach and pier were very quiet and we had it to ourselves! John was brilliant throughout our stay, sending lots of tips and always on hand for any questions we had. Would recommend to anyone!

Fantastic stay! Great spot right next to the lake, and the friendliest hosts imaginable. Paddleboards, kayaks, hot tub, what more can you ask for? Not to mention the bike lane is right behind the house and goes all the way from Tahoe city to Meek’s bay!

This was my 3rd time at this cabin. I’ve stayed here solo and with family. Every time I wish I’d booked a longer stay. The cabin is well off the main road so it’s very peaceful and secluded. The house is always clean and comfortable but I spend most of my time at the pond. I’ve caught small fish but last time saw a HUGE bass! Spent hours trying to catch it with no luck, but there are definitely big fish in there. I also saw other wild life including an otter. Even being secluded, the cabin is short drive to Nevada city and Grass Valley in case you want to explore. I can’t recommend this place enough and hope to return soon.

This was hands down one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve ever had. Ben and his team went above and beyond to make our stay at the Hart House incredibly cozy and relaxing. The home had everything we could possibly need, from super comfortable beds to a beautifully curated space surrounded by stunning nature and charming wildlife. The hosts were incredibly kind, responsive, and thoughtful throughout our stay. My only small note is that I couldn’t locate the first aid kit when I needed a Band-Aid—but honestly, that’s such a minor thing in an otherwise perfect getaway. We’re already looking forward to our next visit and I’d recommend this Airbnb to anyone! Thank you, Ben!

We absolutely LOVED this place & will definitely book again. Directions were right on point. The views were amazing, mother nature surrounded us and it was so relaxing. Comfy beds & the kitchen views made cooking and spending time in the kitchen all that much more fun. We brought our cornhole set up but Henry's 49er cornhole boards were in the back! Had coffee out in the back every morning to catch the beautiful sunrise over the lake and mountains. Can't say enough great things about this place. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ITS A WHOLE VIBE!!! Great for a Girls’ Trip! We had a group of 10 ladies for a girls' getaway, and this place was perfect. The pool and hot tub were clean and ready to enjoy, and the pool house was spacious—great for relaxing together. The bedrooms were beautiful and comfortable, and the whole house was very clean and well stocked. There were plenty of towels, serving dishes, and everything we needed to cook and hang out. It really felt like a home away from home. It’s peaceful and quiet out in the country, but still just a short drive to stores and shopping. The BBQ grill was a nice bonus for outdoor meals. Thank you, Brendan, for being a great host and making sure everything was just right. We would absolutely stay here again!

Our group had an incredible trip! The house was exactly like the photos (possibly even better) and slept 10 adults comfortably. The hosts were incredibly responsive and ensured we had everything we needed. It was a peaceful location up the mountain only 5 minutes from the ski lift and less than 10 minutes from downtown South Lake Tahoe. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! This place is truly something special. The peaceful setting, the beautiful views, and the cozy, welcoming home made our time here unforgettable. We held a small event and everything felt just right. The outdoor spaces are perfect for gathering and relaxing. Eric was a wonderful host — so kind, responsive, and thoughtful. You can tell this place is cared for with love. We made such meaningful memories and would love to return one day.

What a location and space for a family of 6. Location was supreme! Truly walkable to all Heavenly village for restaurants, gondola, Target and other attractions. Saves so much on parking and letting people come and go without using a car. Clean! Spotless! A well cared for home that was tidy with the perfect set of amenities to cook meals for the family. Kitchen appliances were high end. Bathrooms felt like its own apartment with large tubs, counter space and showers. Beds were so comfy and firm. They felt like new mattresses. Wow. What a restful sleep after all the fun activities. 3 floors, so everyone had personal space to telework and break off to at the end of the day. If you are teetering on whether or not to book a stay, just do it. This place is a wonderful retreat from the outside, and makes you comfortable enough to “stay-in”. This house offers so much inside that you almost forget that there’s Tahoe outside!
