Beautiful place. Quite remote but in lovely surroundings.

Freya was very helpful and communicative from the day of the booking to the day of check-in. Gave very clear directions to finding the apartment and a listing of restaurants, shops and other activities to do. the property is located in the heart of Salcombe and therefore meant less driving and easy access to everything. Already planning a trip back there next year with the family, but for a longer stay. Such a beautiful apartment and breathtaking views from the balcony. 😍

We had a wonderful two night stay. The studio was immaculate and had everything we needed. It was the perfect base for a weekend in Salcombe. Highly recommend the new Rockfish (book in advance) and Primo Pizza. Joanna was v responsive and helpful. Thanks for a lovely stay!

A great place for a couple. All the amenities to cook in, though with good restaurants and cafes in walkable distances,no need to cook in. The team are very quick to respond and go the extra mile.

Our stay at Pauline’s stunning apartment in Salcombe was unforgettable. The interior design is beautiful, with top-of-the-line appliances and every comfort thoughtfully provided. We arrived to find homemade cakes, breakfast essentials, and fresh drinks in the fridge—a lovely welcome. The balcony offers incredible views, perfect for morning coffee or evening relaxation. Pauline was a fantastic host, giving us great recommendations for food and paddle boarding. We highly recommend this place and are already planning our return this summer!

The garden studio was perfect for a quiet long weekend exploring Devon, and Patricia’s walled garden was a delight to wake up to and come home to everyday. She kindly provided milk, bread, fruit and yoghurt, and gave great recommendations for places to eat and drink. We felt truly looked after and will be sure to return in the future 🌺

fantastic modern apartment overlooking the estuary, it was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable which can not often be said for a lot of holiday homes. we really enjoyed our short break and hope to be back soon

Absolutely beautiful place. Fantastic hosts and in a great setting near to everything. The apartment had every amenity you would need and more. Tge welcome scones, cream, milk and ham were outstanding and having tea, coffee and sugar on top was wonderful. We travelled with our 3 month old grandson and had everything we could possibly need. Alison Kate was wonderful in her communication. We had a great stay. Thank you.

We had a perfect few days in lovely Newton Ferrers. We found Close Quarters to be a great location given its access to the estuary and local facilities. Roz’s description was very accurate with the deck being the obvious highlight for us with the beautiful weather we had. We did have some issues with the Wi-Fi as mentioned in the previous review but this didn’t spoil our enjoyment. We would love to return.

Excellent studio flat, beautifully presented and very comfortable. Close to town centre and lovely surrounding countryside. Paul was a very welcoming and helpful host.

We had a very relaxing and peaceful long weekend, perfect dog walks along the beach and ice creams and pub dinners with beach views. Apartment was fantastic.

Lovely apartment, beautiful view and excellent hosting from Di. Enjoyed the decor and we were so comfortable. We were able to park and leave the car for the duration of our 4 nights. We walked and caught ferries. Highly recommend.

The unit was a bit smaller that we imagined - that said there was room for 4 of us although the bathroom was very tiny. There is a lovely outside space and we were lucky to be the only ones there - I don’t think you would feel very private if all the units were let. Overall a great location

This is the second time we've stayed here & we had a great time. The location is perfect with fantastic views. Well equipped home with everything we needed. Would highly recommend & will definitely visit again

Fabulous location, definite beach location. We would prefer more of a sea view; we were lucky with the wonderful weather, disappointed we couldn’t sit on the decking in the evening and watch the sea. We may opt for one of the other properties next time. Thank you.

Heron’s Reach is an absolute gem! So comfortable and relaxing that our 2 nights away felt like a week! Would definitely recommend - ideal for taking it easy in Budleigh Salterton or exploring further afield.

We had a wonderful long weekend at Katy and Dale's place. It was easy to find, with clear instructions and plenty of free parking nearby. It was well located to the babbacombe downs, local restaurants and pubs. The walk to torquay is quite nice too and not too far. The hot tub was lovely and hot for when we arrived, and the robes were a nice touch. The annex is on the smaller side but well designed so didn't feel cramped. Everything was clean and tidy. There was some nice additions - a few games, loads of dvds, tea, milk, and a couple of snacks. We didn't have any problems with the stay but all interactions with Katy and Dale were polite, timely and clear. Thanks for being excellent hosts.

Sara’s place is the perfect place to escape with the kids. Sara was super responsive. Easy check in and gaining access to the caravan. The welcoming hamper and card was lovely and gave it a personal touch. The caravan was pristine. We would recommend staying here to everyone, we will definitely be back.

Really lovely place to stay, would definitely stay here again! Only thing to be aware of is the hot tub takes a very long time to heat up (4+ hours) so just be mindful of that if you want to use it. Pool and sauna were lovely and had them to ourselves the time we used it which was great. Overall a very clean and tidy place would definitely recommend!

We had a fantastic break at The Annex in Frogmore. It was equipped with everything we needed for our 3 night stay and the home was beautifully clean and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub overlooking the estuary and walking across to the pub opposite in the evenings.

The property was just as advertised. Had to drive through a country road to get to it but the instructions were very clear so we found it very easily. The property is so close to Salcombe, it’s easy to get around and we used the local Tesco to buy the food we needed for our stay which was again easy to find and just a short drive away. Overall the property was very clean however we were slightly disappointed when it came to using the BBQ that was supplied, it still had residual food from previous guests on it so we had to give it a good clean before we could use it. We also wrongly assumed there would be coal in the BBQ so had to go back to the shop to get some when we realised there wasn’t, so if you’d like a BBQ, be sure to add coal to your shopping list! We loved the hot tub! It was beautifully clean and easy to use, lovely sitting out in the evenings with the patio area all lit up. We would definitely stay again, we had a lovely couple days in a beautiful property and area.

A lovely stay in a lovely apartment. Communication from the host was excellent and the apartment is really beautiful. It’s well equipped and the interior is very modern and homely. Very clean on arrival and the large main shower was a real treat. The location was great and very close to the harbour which had bars, restaurants, shops and an amazing bagel shop (Middlestreet Bagels) which is well worth a visit!!!! The stairs are very steep which can be seen in photos however we didn’t anticipate quite how narrow / steep they are, it was a struggle to get suitcases to the bedrooms. Parking could be abit of a nightmare however we managed to get two free on road spaces close to the apartment after driving around for a short while. Both things to be conscious of however would not be a factor which would put me off staying here again. Overall, a great trip and would rebook again if I am to return to Brixham. Thanks to the hosts!

Home hasn’t felt like home since returning from our stay in Bovey Tracy. Everything from our host and his amazing interior design to the idyllic surroundings and perfect hot tub with just the right amount of sunlight. The kitchen with perfect for a little stay, excellent shower and the bed was so comfy we’ve come home and ordered the exact same set up (which Paul was incredibly helpful and looked up for us when we asked). Cannot wait to return!!
