It is nestled within the stunning Northern Pennines (AONB) UNESCO Global Geopark and sits next to the historic Nenthead Mines site, which was once a major centre for lead and silver mining. Mill Cottage Bunkhouse is on the C2C cycle route, it is also next to Isaac’s Tea Trail and only a drive away from the Lake District, making it an ideal base for cyclists and walkers.

The Mill

Recently refurbished to a high standard. The Mill nestles on the banks of the River Lyvennet. It is a tranquil setting surrounded by wild life. This property accommodates up to six people. The Mill is surrounded by footpaths to explore. There is free fly fishing for guests along our private stretch of river banks. Kings Meaburn is a small farming village 5 miles west of Appleby and 10 miles south of Penrith. You will find the White Horse Inn in the village serving local ale/food.

Hilltop Lodge (wildlife abundant), Colby, Appleby.

Hilltop Lodge is a beautiful detached timber building set in enclosed garden (perfect for dogs). It's open plan, with a wood-burning stove to keep you warm on an evening, with well-equipped kitchen and dining area. It has large windows with lots of natural light. The garden is abundant in wildlife throughout the year, and has a lovely terrace to sit out on with comfortable outdoor seating. It’s a great base for relaxing, enjoying wildlife, adventuring, or being creative. 11am checkout.

Ideal as base a for exploring the local area or a stopover en-route to & from the north. Dogs welcome with enclosed garden and walks from the doorstep. Attached to the owners’ home, offering superb holiday accommodation, ideally positioned for exploring the Lake District & within walking distance of the town’s amenities - shops, cafes & restaurants/pubs. Jitty is open plan complete with kitchen, living room, bathroom and gallery bedroom with a small outdoor seating area to rear. Open plan layout is not suitable for children.

The Cushion Cottage is situated right next door to the Crown and Cushion a super pub and tea room serving food all day from 8am (ideal for breakfast) in the centre of Appleby in Westmorland , the Lounge, Diner and fully fitted Kitchen along with the family bathroom with bath and separate shower are situated on the 1st floor with 2 bedrooms downstairs one with a double bed and one with two single beds, both have their own TV, Complementary Wi-Fi is available.
