Great farmhouse for a family group with plenty of space. We had 3 young children in our group and they all had a great time taking advantage of the playground, games room and large pool. There is also a lovely beach nearby (Sandymouth) which was perfect for everyone with a large beach area, shallow sandy pools for the little ones and lots of rock pools to explore.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Caroline’s place! We loved the freshly baked scones, clotted cream and jam on arrival. Check in was super easy as the key was just left in the door. Our little boy Myles loved watching the alpacas too! Overall very pleasant and refreshing stay I would recommend!

The place was spotless and well maintained. Beautiful location with a route to walk/ trek nearby too. We had a great time during the stay.

Great home with outstanding facilities and location. Pool is a highlight, and hot tub right next to it which is great for when the kids get chilly! Fantastic playroom for them too. Boiling water tap for grown ups teas and coffee with good indoor and outdoor seating areas. Fun for all the family!

We loved staying at the Coach house it was just as in the pictures, and clean/comfortable with many mod cons. The Cream tea provided was delicious and the milk from the Milkiosk was fun/special. Our spaniel loved the field to run round in, although he was a bit naughty on occasion straying with the excitement. The pool is heaven, especialy as it is timetabled per unit meaning we had it all to ourselves for our turns (what a great idea). Just a great location with some lovely beaches and walks along the coastline. We loved it so much we have already booked again for next year.

Great house in lovely location. Layout suited us well (2 families with kids and grandparents). Washing facilities proved very useful. Pool rota worked well and there was always a time available that suited us (open 8am-7pm). Host responded quickly. Lacking house guidance but not a problem and host responded to advise. Note access into house could be an issue for less able and push chairs-steep steps to front and lowest step broken away (advised host so this might get fixed). Rear access via steps and narrow sloping and muddy path. Parking to rear -you block in your other car. Parking spaces not spacious but adequate. We loved it thank you Beach Retreats!

Thirteen of us travelled from all over the UK to celebrate my partner’s 40 th birthday ! The house is absolutely stunning as are the well maintained gardens . Swimming pool and sauna were just incredible . Beautiful towels provided as was all the bedding and great variety of room lay outs to accommodate a large and varied group. The Agga in the kitchen was great to cook on and a great source of heat as was the open log fire with lots of logs provided . Few nice touches on arrival were jam ,scone clotted cream and milk provided . Also great shower gel in each shower . Would highly recommend !

We had a wonderful stay at the Farmhouse and Sophia was a very kind and responsive host (eg we asked if they had a blue tooth speaker we could borrow and it was brought straight round - Thankyou!). We enjoyed the large sociable kitchen space with the comforting Aga to come home to. The garden space was very peaceful and we had great fun in the games room playing table tennis, table football and pool on our first night. We also made use of the swimming pool and playing boules in the garden. The house is large and comfortable for groups and families and has a Manor House feel to it which we loved. Thankyou for a wonderful stay!

We had an absolutely fantastic holiday as a large extended family. The house was perfect! In fact better than what we expected. The layout downstairs is perfect to accommodate us all and allowed us all to be very social with one another. Garden was perfect for the dogs, kitchen had plenty of plates and utensils etc as well as cookware to make dinner for a large number of people. Anna & Sally were very quick to respond also with any questions we had. We really did have a wonderful stay here and would highly recommend

We had the most amazing week with our 4 boys at The Old Guard in May. We have been renting various properties in Hope Cove for many years. Wendy's property is now our absolute favourite!! Not only did we have fabulous weather but the location is just perfect for getting out on the kayaks etc The warm outdoor shower is brilliant for when you get back! The balcony is very large and a great space! The views from the balcony are spectacular and the sunsets incredible. The kitchen had everything you need. They utility area with washer and dryer is very useful staying with a family. The property was really well designed & clean and comfortable to stay in. Wendy had said the parking would be tight, but we got our 2 vehicles in no problem just a bit of time to go back and forth and one is a long wheelbase Mercedes Vito! We would definitely recommend staying here and would love to come back again! Thank you Wendy for all your messages and prompt replies when we had any questions.

Bar Lodge is just stunning. The accommodation and decor were both great but it was the views from every level that it made it so very special (and a very friendly and inquisitive robin). Being on the south west coast path, we were expecting good walking but the friendliness of the tractor and ferry guys and other locals we met meant every outing was even better. Annie was proactive and accommodating from beginning to end and the property was clean and beautifully presented when we arrived. Thank you, we can't wait to come back!

Just had one of the most brilliant stays at "Little Spindles". A fantastic eco-built property situated down a quite lane with everything needed for a peaceful, relaxing time away. Inside, the property is just amazing; so clean and tidy, with top quality fixture and fittings and tastefully decorated. The garden area is mainly laid to lawn and is large and private, thanks to surrounding trees and shrubs. There's a little stream at the bottom of the garden and we were fortunate enough to see a kingfisher during our stay! It's close to the centre of Ashburton (lovely little place!) and ideally positioned for a wide variety of sightseeing and walking trips. Poppy is a great host and is always on hand to offer help when needed. We look forward to a return visit!

What the weather didn't offer us, Carley's place did! It was perfect for our family with 5 kids and my elderly Mum. There was plenty of space for everyone to sleep comfortably, enough bathrooms for shower chaos in the mornings, TVs for afternoon movies when the weather wasn't great, a perfect kitchen and large table to host family get-togethers and intense monopoly games. The trampoline and garden were a huge hit with all the kids, the foosball table brought back my competitive side with them (oops) and the field with horse and sheep with fabulous views was beautiful. Finally a huge added bonus was Carley and her hubby's kids who my lot hit it off with! Both Carley and hubby (Nick?!) were super friendly, helpful and proactive. Great location; just a few minutes from our favourite beach Sandymouth and the Bush inn pub with amazing food and stunning views. We need to come back and explore more as there's so much we didn't manage to fit in! We'll be back, thanks so much Carley and fam!

Immaculate place with everything you need for a short or long stay, with a very nice welcome pack of food. Great place to watch the Naval boats and beautiful walks on the doorstop. Pace yourself with the steps!!.

My stay at this lovely place was warm cosy and very quiet… easy to get to Bude beach… lovely coastal walks nearby… and lovely quiet private garden.

Penny and Paul were the perfect hosts. We have fallen in love with the Threshing Barn and all of their lovely animals. They are both incredibly passionate about their animals and are very knowledgeable about the local area, giving amazing recommendations (the Black River Inn did not disappoint!). The home was spotless and loads of information provided about things to do. We have already recommended it to lots of family and friends and we are planning our next visit. The evening won’t be the same without our trip to say goodnight to the animals !! Thank you so much Penny, Paul, George, Florence, Alfred, Pinky, Hugo, Gabriel, Merlin and all others !! X

We had a relaxing and memorable stay at Fairytale cottage. We were able to walk through the woods to Watersmeet. Took trips to Lorna Doone Farm and Porlock Weir which were short trips by car. The cottage is carefully thought out and the furniture is antique. Loved looking at all the pictures. Beds are comfortable and the constant sound of the stream is relaxing. Thank you for sharing your lovekg cottage with us.

We had a fantastic long weekend at Hope Cottage! The house was great, loads of space and three fab bathrooms! Excellent comms - thank you!!!

We had the most wonderful week at Jon’s place and absolutely fell in love with it and the area!!! Jon communicated brilliantly with us throughout our stay and we felt help and advice was on hand if we needed it! Us and the dog settled in immediately and we felt it was like home from home from the start! The cottage is extremely spacious and very comfortable. Every bedroom has its own bathroom and the beds were extremely comfortable! Gorgeous gardens too! For me it was the kitchen! We didn’t want to eat out as we do enough of that in London so to have a fully kitted out kitchen was fantastic! They have thought about everything!!! It was so peaceful in the cottage - the dog hardly barked the whole week! I walked quite a bit and the stunning putsborough beach was a lovely walk (less than 10mins)or if I’d prefer less than 3 minute drive where the dog had endless hours of fun! It is dog friendly all year! I cannot recommend jons place enough! It was utter perfection!

Lovely cottage set in a beautiful peaceful location. Really great spot to take the dog. Lots of walks and beach just down the very steep hill. A short drive to a lot of great north Devon attractions. Clear instructions given by the host and very clean inside the house. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a quiet north Devon getaway

We recently returned from an amazing three-night stay at this stunning home and cannot express enough how impressed we were. The décor is beautiful, with every detail in the home reflecting a high standard of quality. As a group of six, the house was perfect for us with it’s fabulous mix of comfortable/relaxing social spaces and split level bedrooms. We enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful living area with its gorgeous sea views and enjoyed leisurely breakfasts in the lovely dining/kitchen space. The house is incredibly well-equipped, offering everything we could need and more. Although we couldn't explore some of the recommended local restaurants due to being in the local area for a music festival, we wholeheartedly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area in search of a luxurious stay. Communication with Iveta before, during, and after our trip was excellent, providing all the necessary instructions that we needed. Overall, we had an amazing time in this beautiful home!

Superb accommodation, large, spacious, well designed and clean. Quiet village with local shop/pub and good car access to nearby places of interest. Car parking easy. It is someone’s home, rather than a pure business rental, so it has all the things you need dovetailed with the owner’s other processions. 200% recommended.

Lovely home, well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Great for 4 legged friends with a secure garden and suitable furnishings etc. The home is in a lovely area , with great views over the estuary from the rear of the house, particularly the main bedroom. Bideford itself is very pretty and a good base for exploring North Devon as it is close to the A39 / Atlantic Highway.

We had a really wonderful stay in Polvenna beachhouse. The house is clean, spacious and light, with a cosy, beachy interior. The beds and showers are great and the kitchen is very well equipped. We all loved the amazing view and the sound of the waves when lying in bed at night. It was really magical. Porthtowan has a great beach. We loved the rockpool and rented surfboards. The village store is a short walk down and sells fresh bread. Nearby St. Agnes is lovely and has some great restaurants. This is a good place to visit the rest of Cornwall from. Don’t hesitate to book!
