Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Kennebec River

Great location. Woke up to the sounds of birds. very responsive. I would have given it a 5 star all the way, David was amazing and responded in a very timely manner. But, the turn over service could have been much better. The previous guest left a wine bottle in the automatic fridge ice dispenser and it was unfounded until my family found a large peice of glass in their drink, serious hazard to drink glass. Should have been spotted by the turn over service but, who would check the ice maker for a bottle a wine? I understand that. Very uncommon and unfortunate for us. David responded in a very fast manner and gave us options to accommodate the situation. I would have left a 5 star if this was the only thing but everything was so unorganized in the kitchen, they had everything but nothing made sense to why it was there. Sink didn't drain. There were also stains on the sheets and a pizza box left by the fridge that wasn't ours. Little things but the turn over service was a let down.

The location is gorgeous and peaceful, so close to the water so that we could enjoy it right out the window, or down at the dock. The weather was too rainy for paddling but we heard the loons. The space is comfortable and Mark had so many nice touches that made us feel welcome. We hope to be back!

This was a last minute stay,and I'm glad we found it. Very peaceful and relaxing. Good communication.

Perfect weekend retreat for a small family with a young one. Close to downtown, museum, and the firepit was so nice at night. 5 stars all around and will return in the future. Thanks Phillip!

This home was perfect for our stay in Maine. It had everything we could have needed short of groceries. Three nights were definitely not enough to fully experience it.

This was my 5th time going there and I love it! The house is so cozy & very clean. The property is large and the view is breathtaking over looking the river. They are also pet friendly so we were able to take our Lhasa Apso Revy on vacation with us. Besides how great this Air BnB is, my favorite is the hosts Kent & Tish! They are wonderful people. They are kind & friendly, & have such beautiful souls. They have become family to me! I highly recommend getting this air bnb!! Thank you again Tish & Kent! Great stay on the water! The host also treated me and my two sons to a little boat ride, which was a highlight.

The lakeside cabin was just what I needed. Quiet, private, and right on the water. My dog loved running in the yard and swimming in the lake. The cabin was comfortable with all the basics, and sitting on the porch watching the water was so relaxing. Perfect spot to unwind and enjoy some peace and quiet.

Jonathan and Lisa were wonderful hosts! We stayed 3 nights to enjoy some Spring skiing at Saddleback. The home was close to town and a quick drive to Saddleback mountain. The house is perched high on a hill overlooking Rangeley lake. The downside is that the driveway is steep and icy (this time of year due to the recent March thaws) but the view and sunsets are breathtaking!! For an additional fee, you can enjoy their newly built sauna and whirlpool. So relaxing after a day of skiing that we booked it twice. The house has all the comforts of home. Being culinary masters, we had a bit of a struggle in the small kitchen. But certainly most everything you need to prepare great meals. Communication with the hosts was excellent and timely.

The house was fantastic, brand new and JUST like the photos. We were also pleasantly surprised with the pool in the backyard that wasn’t shown in the photos! The host was also very responsive if we needed anything at all. Would certainly stay again!

Beautiful Airbnb! Everything in the Airbnb was very well thought out. The host was super nice and always quick to respond. My only regret was not spending more time here!

I stayed there for two weeks and I would stay again. It was very quiet which is my number one need. Two it was clean. Three nice kitchen with all the appliances you need. Four Jeanmarie answered all questions quickly and clearly. Five lots of room in the house. Six it was nice and warm in the winter weather.

We had a magical getaway for the weekend! We watched a porcupine forage around the yard both evenings from the hot tub. We named him “Steve”. We loved the walk down to the river and enjoying sunrise from the hot tub with coffee. We will definitely be back!

Had an awesome stay at Mathews place. 20 min drive from Sugarloaf with an option for a shuttle even. Cozy spot next to a beautiful river. Allowed us to check out an hour late.

The host gave us an upgrade to another tiny house in the same location that we gladly accepted. We were welcomed by fresh lilacs in the tiny home with cozy ambiance. The location is remote with a small farm stand (the honey from this stand is a must, we got the biggest jar and we have zero regrets). This is a peaceful retreat with beautiful views and hikes. I recommend this to anyone looking to escape the city.

Brenda’s place was everything we’d hoped for and more! The cottage was clean and comfy, and surrounded by so many gigantic, gorgeous trees. Brenda’s cooking and hospitality were a huge highlight! She gave excellent local recommendations and cooked us two delicious meals. Our dog was in heaven. Would absolutely come back!

Erin & Joseph were the BEST hosts! Booked before they were superhosts and honestly, they deserve it! Full kitchen. Cabin smells so amazing — like fresh lumber. Reminds me of my grandfather’s cottage from my childhood. There’s a fire pit which was perfect for our stay. Bed was super comfortable! We came for our anniversary and they left us water bottles, flowers, mugs, cake and cookies — which were SO GOOD! There was also movie snacks waiting for us on the coffee table! It’s so peaceful, we hated to leave. The natural lighting makes the morning sunlight come into the cabin so lovely. It was an absolute dream! There are also board games upstairs for kiddos! There’s also a trail to walk around in the woods. There’s tons of parking. If you like supporting local businesses, there’s plenty around for firewood, honey, pastries, syrup, etc. Erin was also so sweet when we forgot to take the trash out for checking out 🤦🏻‍♀️😆 Seriously, book with them! It was the best AirBnB experience we’ve ever had

The hosts are extremely kind and the cabin is perfect for a nice getaway.. we had a lot of fun and enjoyed the trails, and our cat loved his time there as well. The firepit outside was perfect for roasting marshmallows and making smores, and we’re hoping to come back again.

nice place to stay in the Waterville area. Super responsive host. easy to find. Easy to get into. Apartment is clean and well stocked, coffee maker, kitchen stuff etc. lots of towels... it is above attached garage to family house. pretty view out back.

An absolute gem if you want to reconnect with family/nature, relax and unplugg. It was so peaceful and tranquil. my 5 year old son loved being in the loft stargazing at night. we would be sitting in the deck by the firepit for smores and some snacks every night. Truly, one of our best family trips. Kendra is also very responsive.

Beautiful spacious yet cozy lakeside cabin, so close to the lake that you just see water from most of the inside of the camp. This cabin has history and the open knotty pine ceiling, walls and floors lend a great deal of warmth to the place, while numerous modern updates/amenities have been added (new/modern bathroom, appliances and deck). We have stayed at many Airbnbs and have never seen one stocked as well as this one - virtually anything a person could want or need was provided: the kitchen had everything you could need and more, supplies, fans, heaters, tools, numerous indoor and outdoor games, kayaks, floats, a standup paddleboard and a plethora of chairs inside and out (including several pieces of antique furniture, further adding to the warmth of the camp). There was even a tree swing and an outdoor fire setup for smores. Our dog loved it as much as we did! Add the loons, eagles, ospreys, sunrises and general beauty of this Maine lake and this is a wonderful place to stay.

Spent a relaxing long weekend at the cabin. Idyllic location right on the water with plenty to do outside. We enjoyed making fires, fishing, and exploring in the canoe. Inside, the cabin was thoughtfully decorated and very comfortable. Camden is nearby for a nice dinner or a stroll and shopping downtown. Acadia is also close enough for a day trip. Checkin/checkout was very straightforward, and the host was helpful and quick to answer any questions. Hope to visit again!

Beautiful location for a fun lakefront weeklong getaway! So many great spots to sit, ponder, and enjoy peaceful nature all around. My husband and I quickly became fans of having our coffee on the private dock each morning. The firepit, chopped wood, and s’mores items provided were a great perk. Kayaks and a paddle boat allowed us to tour around the lake and even check out the little island and an eagle’s nest nearby. Stephanie and Kevin were great, responsive hosts, especially when we ran into a couple of minor issues. Far from roughing it with cozy bedding, a TV, and a full kitchen, this Airbnb still has just enough of a “glamping” vibe to feel like the kind of adventure we were looking for. We would return!
