Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Kennebec County

If you want a private, well furnished home in the woods with fishing access on the stream and 2 fire pits this is your place!! Staying at this house made a work trip for my crew and I, feel like we were on vacation for 2 nights while staying there. Worth the money and great hosts!

Shirley was a wonderful host. I do a lot of traveling, I can see why she has so many repeat clients. If I make it back to Waterville Maine, I'll be checking to see if Shirley has an opening. ~Laurie, OH

We had a short two nights at Amy’s place. We stayed to attend our son’s graduation from Colby college. The school was about 32 minutes away from campus and the house worked out great. I’d love to return and stay longer in the future. Home and host were exceptional.

Great little house to stay, it did snow while i was there and she had shovel salt and a plow truck come by!

Our stay at Margaret's home was very relaxing and comfortable. Pristine bathroom, kitchen and bedding. The lake view was so much more than we anticipated. It was serene, peaceful, and breathtaking. She went out of her way to answer questions for us about the area, and we left feeling like we just gained a new friend. Jeff and Donna

This was my 5th time going there and I love it! The house is so cozy & very clean. The property is large and the view is breathtaking over looking the river. They are also pet friendly so we were able to take our Lhasa Apso Revy on vacation with us. Besides how great this Air BnB is, my favorite is the hosts Kent & Tish! They are wonderful people. They are kind & friendly, & have such beautiful souls. They have become family to me! I highly recommend getting this air bnb!! Thank you again Tish & Kent! Very clean and Host was very responsive, the setting matched the description 100%. Peceful sleeping with the water hitting the beach and the call of the Loon heard throughout the night. Can’t wait to return another day!!

This place was very clean and a great stay. I was under the impression in the photos that this is a lakefront property, which it is not.

We had a great stay at Patrick's. The location is perfect for exploring Gardiner. We caught a show at the Johnson Opera House which is across the street and had a couple of great meals which were both within walking distance. Parking out back was easy and free. The space was as described. A little quirky (the kitchen sink doubles as the bathroom sink, which was fine, but quirky). Very spacious and welcoming and nicely appointed with local crafts and art, which we appreciated. We didn't cook, but the kitchen would work well for a small meal. There's a counter top oven and an electric hot plate with two burners. Overall, it was a great spot. Perfect for catching a concert or other downtown Gardiner event. Look forward to coming back sometime.

Easy-to-find location, beautifully designed apartment, squeaky clean kitchen, and a VERY comfortable bed. It is an older and creakier building, so you can hear the people above and around you, but it didn’t impact sleep. Heather was also accommodating to a last-minute late checkout, which was really appreciated. Highly, highly recommend.

Jean’s place was amazing, and she was the perfect host! The apartment was perfect for us! The king size bed was so comfortable, and everything was just as described. The location on the lake was so peaceful and relaxing. Jean and Bob very generous and let us use their whole property including wonderful swings to rest on and lake kayaks and a paddle boat! We were scouting out places to buy near Winthrop, and Jean had some great advice and was super helpful! We will be back!

We loved our stay at Brenda's place. It was great for a peaceful vacation, a quiet location with no traffic jams!! A bit remote but not too far from the places we like to go in Midcoast Maine.

The interior space looked just as described. It was clean and it appears that Anima did some work to make it more updated. I slept comfortably and that was most important. The outside of the house could use a little TLC. This was my first time visiting Maine; I was not sure what to expect. Anima is kind and very responsive to messaging. I would definitely stay in any space that she offered in the future.

It a great place. We enjoyed a lot and the lovely breakfast.

Marks place had everything needed for a long term stay. He and his dog Luna were friendly and didn’t mind the company of another dog. There was an unexpected amount of lady bugs in the home but Mark explained they are a constant battle in Maine and made suggestions on how to reduce/eliminate them as they got in. Highly suggest the meadery up the street. They use locally sourced ingredients and release their weekend menu each Thursday.
