Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Kendal

We had a great few days at the cottage with our dog. Everything you need is within the house and you're a quick walk into the town. We either had takeaways or ate out but everything you'd need to cook is there. The cottage is lovely and clean and comfortable which was good as one of the nights we relaxed in the house due to bad weather. Communication was great from the hosts too. We'd stay again 😊

We stayed here between Christmas and NY to meet friends who were visiting the UK from Australia. It was the perfect home for us, warm and comfy, great access to shops in Kendal and well located for driving to the lakes for walks and boating. Would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay! Communication was great from the start, and the home itself is absolutely beautiful, cosy, warm, and full of thoughtful touches that made it feel really special. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower was excellent too. Sarah, her husband, and Joey were so lovely and welcoming, and their gorgeous dog made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this stay, would love to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at Sonal’s, Kendal is the perfect place to stay to visit the beautiful Lakes area. The home was well equipped and comfortable, walking distance into the town and Sonal had great local recommendations.

A lovely out of the way place but just a few minutes walk into town. Beautiful artwork and tables with a fully equipped kitchen. Although you are unable to park right outside I was always able to park close enough, so that wasn't a problem. Would happily stay there again.

We had a lovely stay; the location is wonderful, surrounded by farmland with baby lambs overlooking the seating area! The apartment is very well specced and looked after, with a small garden house further up the hill opposite and an amazing river a short walk across the fields where we went for a swim. The photos do not do the property justice, it is a gem. Would definitely come back to use as a quiet base to explore the lakes from again.

We stayed here for 5 days the place is in prefect location 5 mins walk into town with great boozers and restaurants Kim is such a friendly person if the was any problem or advice she was only a phone call away Just like to say thank you again Kim🙏🏼🥂

It was the first time for 15 years my wife and I , had a break away on our own. I could not of chosen a better place to stay, or a better host than Liam. He helped to make it a weekend to remember! We give him 6 Stars, because the whole experience was worth a 6 Star categorisation ! And I am NOT easy to please 🙏🏽

This home is delightful for anyone who needs a short break in beautiful peaceful country side. It has everything required, however a car is helpful. The shop at the petrol station opposite the property opens all the time for essentials. The home was spotless and designed to give you as much space as possible.

This bijpu bedsit is perfect for a single person. Peaceful and private, and with everything I needed. The bed was really comfortable, and the whole place was immaculately clean. I was really happy to see environmental measures in place. The location is perfect - spot on for accessing this part of the Lakes, with so many beautiful spots within easy driving distance. Kath's communications were clear and friendly and fast. I would recommend this accommodation and its owners without hesitation.

What a fabulous few days me and my boys had ..I’ve never seen them so relaxed (ages 35 and 37 )x I think it was the lovely energy we felt in the beautiful Nest xx looking out over the river each morning set us up for the day. Would recommend 100% , we had everything we needed ..I couldn’t fault it ..the bedrooms immaculate and the beds /bedding were soft clean and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the gym and pool offer also x staff there were lovely at the Swan Hotel. Thank you xx

Beautiful apartment Helen’s instructions were really clear & check in was seamless. Didn’t really get to appreciate the surrounding area except for the stunning views. This was a brief visit as our son was competing in the Lakes Ultramarathon. We were very grateful for the welcome hamper this allowed him to refuel post race. We will definitely be back ❤️

The flat was lovely, beautifully kitted out and with some interesting lighting features! There was lots of space inside. We appreciated being able to stay a bit longer before checking out so we could have a planned zoom meeting. Thank you for being accommodating.

Great host who responded to any communication swiftly and reassuringly. Property is superb with individual querks which make it unique. Magical information given to us beforehand which was of great value. Thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Great accommodation for the 2 of us & had everything we needed for a long weekend exploring this area of the Yorkshire Dales. We enjoyed the suggested walking routes, the route details provided were really handy. Viv and Ernie were lovely hosts and nice to chat to.

Can’t speak highly enough of the accommodation, the welcome pack was a lovely touch and had far more in it than we would have expected, location was perfect for what we wanted including a great little walk along a steam railway line to the lakeside hotel. For entertainment try the local hotel, the barman was really funny although pretty sure it was unintentional 😂 would definitely go back, the accommodation, not the hotel with the barman..

Wonderful studio, great amenities and well-stocked breakfast items in the room, available at any time. Plenty of useful products in the bathroom (makeup wipes, cotton pads, aftersun, etc). Plenty of pillows of different firmness, lots of blankets, some board games available in the room, great for a night in. <10min walk from the station and high street. Very pleased overall, would recommend!

What a lovely flat in sleepy Sedbergh! Great location and very peaceful. The flat is so comfortable with the softest carpets too. Lots of extra towels and bedding available. A very well equipped kitchen and a lovely feeling of calm as soon as we stepped inside. Everything was really well thought out and very clean. We stayed for two nights but will definitely stay again and for longer next time. Amy very kindly extended our check out time and always responded to questions quickly. I highly recommend visiting Sedbergh and staying in this stunning little flat!
