Holiday rentals with a kayak in Kenai Peninsula Borough

I travelled to Anchorage for a conference, with my research group (1 colleague, 3 grad students, 1 post-doc). Given the location, we stayed for an extra 4 days, and most of us went with our wives. Jessica's large house was an excellent choice for our group. The location is residential, very peaceful, located only a few miles from downtown. The house has 5 large bedrooms plus a smaller one. The dining table is huge, and the kitchen is well equipped for a large group. Two in our group are players, so the piano saw lots of action. Wonderful house for a large group, and great value. Highly recommendable if you have your own vehicle.

We had a wonderful stay here! It was very comfortable for our group of 11. Wendy was a very responsive host. Would definitely recommend staying here for a big gathering of friends and/ or family!

Beautiful location and super responsive and friendly host. Kitchen was well stocked and it was close enough to a grocery store if you needed one. It was a relaxing, peaceful, location.

Melissa's place is beautiful, right on the Kenai River in Soldotna and just like in the pictures. We had a wonderful time as an extended family group fishing and using the place as a base for exploring the area. Lots of outdoor spaces to enjoy the Alaska summer.

the cabin was a great place to stay with my 2 grown grandsons and son for a fishing adventure in alaska. have rented other cabins in soldotna in previous years but this one stands way out in front. the cabin was well stocked, clean and beds were comfortable. the view of the lake was spectacular. based on my recommendation one of my friends has booked a cabin at the lake for next year.

This home was very roomy, clean and comfortable. A lot of room for my family to stay. We wanted a Kitchen to save money eating home cooked meals. Kitchen was complete with everything we needed for our meals including BBQing and a fireplace to roast marshmallows for the kids, along with a spacey back yard for the kids to play, and a laundry room to help us be ahead of the game to do laundry before leaving! I would highly recommend this home for families.

Awesome host and awesome place will definitely be using again this summer

Only got to stay at this property for a single night, but my goodness would I have stayed here longer! It's a beautiful property with plenty of room for a large group and lots of activities to do in either the winter or summer right there on the property. Jennifer was an excellent host and was always ready for a response when we needed it.

Cute lil cabin on a pond, host was super responsive and we def utilized the kayaks while there. Super comfortable beds and everything was very clean. There was a problem w/the new internet but hey...we all need a little off time anyways..oh and we saw a mama Moose and her twins a couple times during our stay!

Sockeye cabin at Fosters Alaskan Cabins was a great experience all around. Jason and Cyndi were very friendly and helpful. We went on a floatplane ride to see bears, fished, saw live music, hand went on a SxS excursion while based at Sockeye. The cabin is centrally located and makes for a short drive to anywhere on the island. The cabin was well apportioned. There was an extra quilt next to the bed. The curtains closed tight for complete darkness. It was quiet there. Nice size refrigerator. A Kcup coffee machine. Tasteful Alaskan decor. We are looking forward to returning!

What a unique and wonderful place to experience the splendor of Kachemak Bay!

We had a fantastic stay at the Cozy Lakeside Log Cabin Retreat! Jasmine was a wonderful host—friendly, responsive, and thoughtful throughout our stay. The cabin was clean, cozy, and felt just like home. It had all the essentials we needed, which made settling in easy and relaxing. The lakeside setting was beautiful, and we especially enjoyed using the paddle boat and winding down by the fire pit in the evenings—such a peaceful way to end the day. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for comfort, nature, and a great host!

This was my 1st time visiting Hope, 5th time in Alaska since 2020. I loved this space! Bear Creek was enchanting and whimsical to me. I enjoyed the quiet town. The walk to the bathroom did not bother me even though this cabin is the farthest away. We made our meals in the cabin so didn't get a chance to check out the restaurant but will definitely be back. If you have any heat going, the loft gets far too hot so it was nice to have a bed and an extra pullout on the main floor. This is the kind of Alaska that I like to experience.

The house was amazing and the hosts were great! They went out of their way to ship us an item that we left behind. We will definitely book this property again!

Truly incredible place. The view is breathtaking - you can stare at it all day and watch the wildlife. We saw orcas, humpback whales, sea lions, seals, sea otters and a variety of birds all day long. It seemed like every time I looked outside some sea critters were playing in the ocean right below. So awesome. The stairs as others have said are a challenge but not dangerous, just a good workout! And they go by quickly. The cabin is well stocked with kitchenware / plates. My only suggestion for those traveling is to bring a personal blanket for sitting on the deck. I was surprised how much time we spent doing that. It just never got old. Definitely try the sea kayaks - such an awesome excursion. Overall a truly incredible place. Especially for adventurous spirits that want to experience tranquility. I hope to go back someday soon!

Danise's property was serene and had an excellent view. We saw a moose while out on the deck on the other side of the lake and later had 2 moose walk right in front of the cabin. The space was clean and just what we needed for a nice outing.
