Calf cabin- Unique and beautiful farmstead!

Countryside getaway! If you want to experience something unique during your trip to Iceland this little house has been repurposed as guest house. On our farm it has always been called the Calf cabin, as it was used as a small barn and a stable in the past. On the outside we preserved the old rock laying and the architecture style but mixed old and new styles on the inside. We recycled and repurposed as much material as possible and we are pleased with the outcome. Now it is a cozy little suite.

Unique experience for people looking to travel around Iceland or for those who prefer just to stay in and enjoy the rural countryside. With a beautiful 360° scenery and a grand pateo you can enjoy mesmerizing sunsets and spectacular northern lights showings, given the complete lack of light pollution. It's the photohgrapher's dream location. Eyjafjallajökull and Seljalandsfoss can be seen from the apartment. 4x4 is necessary during winter as the path leading to the house can get very snowy.

A cozy new private apartment at a family farm in the South of Iceland. Great location for all the main sites in the region. Views of Eyjafjallajökull from the farm, 15 minutes from Seljalandsfoss, waterfall, and 25 minutes from Skógarfoss, waterfall. Only five minutes from the ring-road and 90 minutes from Reykjavík. The family has been running the farm for three generations, with horses, cows and sheep. The apartment consists of a living room, two bedrooms, bathroom and a small kitchen.

The place was exactly how it was represented, which is not always the case with all AirB&Bs. It was clean and instructions for getting there were perfect and questions answered promptly. The birds woke me up at 3:15 when the sun came up. This was not a bad thing, but lovely as it is outside Hella town but worth the extra kilometers. (It is off the beaten track so make sure you eat or bring your food with you before you arrive.). The kitchen is clean and you can prepare anything in it with all the necessary pots, pans, plates and cutlery.

I cannot say enough about how incredible our stay was here, and how above and beyond the hosts went. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a beautiful, private getaway. Seeing how pretty the place looked in the pictures, I booked this spot to bring my fiancé to after proposing to her on the south coast. The hosts were kind enough to pick up decorations that I ordered from a nearby post office, and decorate the place beautifully well in time before I brought her there. They were extremely communicative in the weeks leading up to my stay, and put so much time, care, and attention to detail into the decorations while asking for nothing in return. In addition, the place was absolutely spotless and clean throughout. If you're looking for a serene stay with stunning views, cleaned to the highest standard, with extremely friendly and responsive hosts, this is your place.

Our stay at this Heathland Lodge was, without a shadow of a doubt, an absolutely exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in a sense of privacy and serenity that is truly rare. The lodge itself is a masterpiece of wonderful Scandinavian minimalist design, where every detail, every texture, and every carefully chosen furnishing whispers (no, screams!) understated luxury. It's clear that immense thought and care have gone into creating a space that is not just beautiful to behold, but incredibly comfortable and restorative to inhabit. The location is simply breathtaking, offering amazing and uninterrupted views of the surrounding lava field. Waking up to such a unique and dramatic landscape was a daily highlight, a constant reminder of Iceland's raw, natural beauty. Romain’s place was very nice! Accurate description, very clean, it was about 30 mins off the main road and there are gravel roads to the airbnb. The kitchen was fully stocked. It was so peaceful and the scenery was amazing at night we were able to see all the stars in the sky! Romain was very responsive and helpful! Would come back again! Thank you!

Perfect! Location is peaceful and quiet yet 10 mins away from grocery store and gas station. Plenty of hot water. Irena was a perfect host. Bonus 2 cats and a dog! Would definitely stay again.
