Family-friendly holiday rentals in Kalihiwai

Veronica’s condo was exactly what we needed to enjoy our Honeymoon in Kauai! The location was our favorite aspect, you could get to each side of the island within an hour and we did so many activities that the location was perfect. The condo itself is exactly as described and the pool and grounds are beautiful. The sunrises from the beach right out front are gorgeous and we really enjoyed all the chickens running around. We would absolutely stay with Veronica again in Kauai.

Clean, comfortable accommodation for a family of 4. We very much enjoyed our time there. Nice pool and hot tub to use. Great location, lovely place for a morning walk. Would recommend

Well appointed condo in perfect location. We've stayed in several Pale Ke Kua condos and this is our favorite. Sunrise from the lanai every day, sunsets over Bali Hai just steps away. The Quiet corner of Princeville yet easy access to everything. Thanks Sally...we'll be back!!

This was a great stay for my sister and I’s annual girls trip. The only thing I was thrown off by was that there’s actually only one bathroom inside the house, the other two are technically outside. The place is smaller than I thought it would be too, kind of the same size as my apartment in DC. BUT, this is the cleanest, most well decorated air b n b I’ve ever stayed in. In terms of decorations and quality of linens and towels and bed comfort, it easily compares to a four seasons or better. I also would definitely recommend staying in this part of the island versus poipu or princeville, this neighborhood actually feels like a local place and isn’t overrun with tourists. Also shoutout to Guy, the manager of the property who lives next door, we loved meeting him!

This condo was a great place to stay in Princeville! It was clean, well equipped and in a great location! It was also super nice to have the pool within such a short walking distance, and loads of beach gear for guests to use. They had beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear, toys and even a wagon, which was great for a family with small kids. A couple of things I didn’t realize before booking: you have to request a pack and play ahead of time for an extra fee (the listing had it on the amenities list so I assumed it was always just in the condo for guest use) and the washing machine is extremely loud, like sounds like an airplane taking off loud, so start the load when you’re going out for the day or won’t mind the excessive noise. Other than those two minor things this was an awesome condo that I would recommend.

Just got home from a wonderful stay in Princeville, Kauai. This place was exactly as described and worked perfectly well for 3 adult couples. All had their private spaces while enjoying the common area and kitchen space together. Super close to the community pool. Pool itself is rather small and a lot of kids but drive to stunning beach is not too far. We are coffee lovers and the espresso machine was a nice touch but the frother part was missing. We notified host and she immediately replied and quickly got a handheld frother delivered. Extremely responsive and we would definitely stay again.

Annie and Greg, had amazing communication from prior to our stay until after our stay. They were very friendly and kind, answered any questions that we had, as well as responding very swiftly to things. There home was gorgeous, it had all the amenities you would need. If you needed anything else the grocery store was just up the street a quick walk or drive would it. My husband and I love staying in princeville when we go to kauai. We would absolutely stay here again, we loved their home. It was very clean and cozy. Even without AC the fans worked great and they also had an additional fan if you required extra air. the balcony had a great view too. We do wish we used the pool sooner it was so warm. You can walk down to the beach area or a quick drive. Annie and Greg make you feel so comfortable and offer amazing tips for your stay to be smooth. There was a power outage the moment we got there so things were a little confusing. Cleaning people arrived shortly after we communicated with Annie and we found out the whole area was without power. We went to Foodland, only 5 minutes away, to see if we could pick up any groceries there and then power came back on. So we were able to grab some snacks and dinner. Then get officially checked in. Annie was very responsive and let us know what was going on a best as she could. We were very comfortable there. Slept well. Listening to the rain showers or birds chirping. Highly recommend.

Our stay at Liuni's place was incredible! We rented a couple houses in the neighborhood for our group, and could not be happier with Luini's home and her and Tanya's support throughout our stay. Communication was amazing, the house was incredibly clean, amazing location, and had everything we needed. It's in the neighborhood of Queens Bath which is a must-see in Kauai and makes it SO easy because parking is not always accessible for that trail, but we could just walk to it! I highly recommend staying here. It is absolutely worth the price and was so nice to be able to sleep our group of 7. I am so grateful for this experience and Liuni and Tanya's kindness and flexibility with our group.

Helen is an excellent host! The Airbnb was well appointed and surprisingly comfortable for how small the space was. We especially appreciated the lanai! no A/C but plenty of fans made it comfortable enough for good sleeps.

This place was everything we hoped for and more! The view was amazing—something we never got tired of. The unit itself was spacious, clean, and had all the comforts of home. It was well-stocked for beach days—snorkel gear, coolers, boogie boards, beach chairs—you name it, it was there. But my favorite part was walking distance to Hideaway Beach. That spot is a hidden gem—crystal clear water and amazing snorkeling. Highly recommend staying here.

highly recommend this place- beautiful setting right on the beach, third floor with elevator-beautiful sunrises, just downstairs is beach to walk along. It is convenient to airport, and you can easily drive to other areas on the island. Kitchen and condo has basic household supplies like some kitchen staples, laundry soap. Michael responds almost immediately to questions and follows up on things as needed.

The location was the best on the island ...at least for us. We had unreal views of Hanalei and the sunset.Hanalei town is close and adorable. We are snorkelers and our best experience was steps from our condo at Hideaways beach. We saw tons of fish, a few sea turtles, and even an octopus. I must mention that the trail down is super close and short' but gnarly. The condo itself had everything we needed and the lanais were spectacular. The furniture was not terribly comfortable and there were a few maintenance projects needed to be addressed' but nothing that would keep me away from booking this place again. Mahalo Noel

The place is smaller than pictured, but for me and my boyfriend it was still plenty of space. It’s open space so I don’t know if I’d come there with kids (their room is upstairs but no doors, and sliding doors to the master bedroom) The structure doesn’t come with AC so if you’re a hot sleeper I’d think about it twice, because it does get warm during the night. My boyfriend is a hot sleeper and had the fan on maximum power blowing on his face every night. I didn’t mind the heat that much but just a heads up. Lastly, the property management company is amazing!! They’re super responsive and kind. I never waited more than 10 minutes for a response even from the after hours team! Amazing service

Excellent place for two couples traveling together with gorgeous views right on the water. Whale watching from the lanai each morning was wonderful. Listening to the waves on the cliffs each night was lovely. Easy drive into Hanalei. Beautiful condo - highly recommend a stay here!

Robyn was an excellent host. She was very attentive and friendly. Her place is exactly as pictured and we really enjoyed sitting out on the patio. Robyn has provided beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas and bogie boards. Princeville is lovely with many amenities walking distance from Robyn’s place. We would stay at Robyn’s again if visiting the Princeville area.
