Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Jefferson County

Our family gathered in Watertown to have Thanksgiving with our son who lives there and is stationed at Ft. Drum. We wanted a nice place on the water where the adults could stay and the family could gather for Thanksgiving dinner. Jane's place was nice and cozy for the adults who stayed and enjoyed by all who came for dinner. Jane was responsive to any communications and helpful when we thought our stay may have to be extended due to the threat of 60+ inches of lake effect snow. We were able to check out on time and would love to return when we could truly enjoy the yard, water access, kayaks etc.

So glad we found this amazing place! It is nestled off the road in a quiet, beautiful location. The downstairs area is spacious, with a pool table and a dart board. The electric fireplace was such a nice addition for the colder than usual evening. Penny was such a great host! Fun filled fact- the space is filled with such pretty photos. I was so interested in them that I looked up the photographer and turns out it was Penny! I ended up purchasing a few pieces and I can’t wait to add them to my space at home! We absolutely loved our stay at the Chez Heron. Beautiful home with an amazing host and delicious food right next door. If we visit thousand islands again I most definitely would come back here for another stay.

We had an absolute amazing stay. The house was exactly like described, very spacious, and accommodating. The fenced in back yard was perfect for our dogs. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone that may be traveling to up state NY.

This is a lovely home on a quiet street. Four of us stayed here for a long-weekend birthday celebration and found it charming. We had hot weather one day and enjoyed using the large barbecue and eating in the screened pavilion. Another day was chilly, so the gas-lit woodstove was enjoyed. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and the furnishings were very comfy. We enjoyed the view from the sunporch, even when it was rainy. Thanks, Susan for a cozy stay!

I can’t express how amazing this place was. There were signs made up all around the house to answer any questions you may have. I reached out to our hosts mid stay and got a response immediately. They even reached out to give us a heads up about possible power outages (we did not lose power). But I truly appreciated them reaching out as we were out at a wedding.

Such a great find! We were costing our dd and sil right before they deployed to Syria. Perfect location to enjoy time with them. Was here in February and this was a much better place than the abnb above goodfellows. She does have coffee for her Keurig or for a pot of coffee including filters but stop on the way in for cream.

The house is very nice and clean, It old farm house i belive so surrounded by farm land. I would say it was the nices place i had in my rental experience so far. We were fishing so drive toBlack River is under 20 minutes, Sandy creek is about same 25 minutesand Salmon river is just above 30 minutes. Wewere very happy with the choice we made. Thanks ,Marcel

This has become my go to AirBnB whenever I visit Fort Drum! Reinaldo’s properties are always clean and come with all the necessities for a comfortable stay.

Jerry and Cindy were so gracious when I needed to adjust my reservation for my stay. I was coming up for a quick trip to conduct the area all state choir, and just needed two nights somewhere peaceful. It was 4 minutes from the high school and worked out amazing! It was so incredibly beautiful, comfortable, clean, and exactly the place I needed to crash from the busy rehearsal schedule. There were so many thoughtful touches throughout the unit and the bed and couch were extra comfy! I highly recommend this beautiful spot.

This place is phenomenal. It’s so unique and cool. The best shower ever and an extremely comfortable bed. If I was able to give infinite stars, I would. I felt very blessed staying here. Also, as a solo, female traveler, I felt super safe and secure. Awesome bonus was the bakery and coffee shop downstairs. The pastries were out of this world. Chef Vanessa is a master. I had a strawberry rhubarb danish and a cinnamon cruffin that made my tummy smile and joyful. Absolutely delicious. This was definitely one of my top two Airbnb experiences. I will be returning. Loved it! Magical.

spacious clean apartment with small but full kitchen, comfortable living room and comfortable king bed. a little tricky to find .. house numbers small ... and had a bit of trouble at check in .. but Barbara was very responsive to a phone call and greeted us with the key code we needed to get in. no river view as it was fall but just a short walk from house.

As always, we enjoyed our stay. The place is comfortable, and everything is clean.

This unit is in a great location. It’s walkable to all the restaurants and bars. Even so the you didn’t hear the noise from the bars late at night. Off street parking right in front of the unit is a plus! It is clean and well laid out. The pictures don’t do the size of it justice. It is so much bigger than it looks! The front porch was a nice area to be able to enjoy sights, as well the kitchen window looks right out to the river. As others have said the beds are quite firm. Overall we enjoyed our weekend stay!

This was a perfect place for our little family to stay for a long weekend while visiting family! The location is sublime, walking distance to everything in Clayton! Having our own parking spot was a plus! Would definitely stay here again.

This place was perfect for our stay in Clayton. There are amazing restaurants and shopping just a short walk from the Dygert house and you are so close to the Saint Lawerence river.

The unit is centrally located in Alex Bay. Easily walk through out the town. It overlooks the river and has a great view of Boldt Castle. Comfortably accommodates four adults . It is very clean and modern. We recommend unit 301!

The space was unique and extremely functional with very chic interiors. Wonderful location. Loved the front porch. Parking was easy and convenient. Would love to return!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. It was very clean and in a great location with many shops and restaurants in walking distance.

Sara was a very nice host! Sara made check-in and check-out very easy. We had some trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi, but Sara helped us through all of the trouble shooting and was very easy to communicate with. The place was cozy, clean and comfortable.
