Holiday home rentals in Island of Ortigia

Very comfortable place and useful kitchen. We prefer to make most of our own meals and felt right at home here. The bathroom was very clean and all amenities were appreciated. The sink in utility room and laundry drying rack were perfect for doing laundry necessary during our stay. The space was very well used and we were impressed with how tranquil it was.

We enjoyed the apartment very much. It's spacious, you can enjoy the outdoors, and I loved the outdoor shower. We appreciated that there was air conditioning given the exceptional temperature ( 46°). There is a small grocery store not far. The sea is close, but we need a car to get there. The neighborhood is very quiet. Theura was there when we needed her and advised us on places including a pizzeria by the sea. I'll be happy to go back

A stone's throw from home, a bay welcomes you and a clear and serene sea hugs you. On the way back from the sea, the grassy mantle of the garden cared for by Alessandro pleases your feet. The house has all the comforts for a relaxing and unforgettable vacation. But outside, not far away, you can find the history, the art, the nature, the fortune. Sabrina and Alessandro are generous and hospitable hosts, unique and rare qualities. We had useful information, support, and pleasant exchanges from them. I want to come back soon.

The apartment is highly recommended! The location with the direct view of the sea from the balcony is absolutely unbeatable. You can walk to the beach in 2 minutes. In the nearby area, there is everything you need for a relaxing holiday and many beautiful cities and beaches can be reached quickly by car. Mariateresa was a great host who took care of all concerns very kindly and quickly! Thanks for a great stay:)

I had a few hiccups early on - I didn’t know how to turn on the air or hot water, but Roberta and Simone came quickly to resolve it. WiFi was weak, but 5G worked fine and we were rarely in the apartment. The apartment is very central and very spacious. The immediate neighborhood is wonderful - including a grocery across the street, a laundry 500m away, and the best cafe just up the street. Simone was always accessible and Roberta was very responsive - we will be back!

Maria and her husband were very kind and very welcoming! The house was as described both in terms of the rooms (and impeccable cleanliness!) and for the location a 5-minute walk from the beautiful Ortigia! We had directions to everything from parking to transport to recommendations on monuments! Wonderful experience and host that I highly recommend!

Sebastiano was very kind and very hospitable. The property, in the historic building, is beautiful a stone's throw from the sea and the center of Ortigia. I hope I can come back.

Summer vacation of absolute relaxation! We stayed at this facility in the 4th week of July. The house, newly built, offers all the comforts a family wants , especially with the presence of children, taking into account immediate access to the beach, bordered by only one gate. Equally appreciated was the green garden space, well cared for, including the presence of games and the beach equipment available to guests. A note of merit also for the managers/owners of the house, courteous and available to meet any need as soon as possible. The house also enjoys a great location, strategic to reach the towns of Avola, Noto and Ortigia, all almost equidistant from the structure (about 15/20 km) As for walking in the area, Fontane Bianche certainly does not allow excellent pedestrian mobility, but there are still essential services, bars, markets, restaurants, etc.

Mariannina’s place is in THEEE best location right in the center of the island! You are absolutely surrounded by restaurants, gelaterias, coffeeshops, and shopping, and you can get from this Airbnb to anywhere on the island in less than a 10 minute walk. The room itself is huge, and the AC is a nice plus for those hot Sicilian days! Mariannina is super communicative and my stay went very smoothly, I am so thankful to have found this affordable hidden gem in the middle of Ortigia!

We had a wonderful stay at Guiseppa’s place. Perfect location, right by the waterfront. A few minutes walk to a swim platform and silky turquoise warm water. Ortigia is a gorgeous place with narrow baroque streets, daily market, restaurants….not quite as busy as other places we visited in Sicily. Public transport was a bit of a challenge as the trains in the south are being replaced by high speed. Should be better next year. Paula was warm and friendly and gave us great recommendations. She lives opposite. The place had everything we needed - cooking facilities/coffee machine/ washing machine. everything worked and was clean and well furnished. The beds were comfy, although bedrooms not fully private - stairs from ground level opened into the upper bedroom. Bathroom on each level was great, shower not powerful but had plenty of hot water. The star of the apartment has to be the roof top terrace with sea views, a perfect place to relax. We would love to return! Thank you 🙏🏾

The studio is a lovingly furnished and utterly stylish place, which has all the amenities you would want for a longer stay. It is situated in a quiet side street right in the middle of lovely Ortigia (Syracua´s old / ancient town). All the sights, cafés and restaurants, the supermarket and the street market are reachable within less than 5 minutes. The train / bus station iis about a 20 minutes walk away. If you should encounter any problem the host will instantly reply to your messages and help you in solving it. Bottom line: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, I enjoyed my four weeks there very much! (... and yes, you can switch the LED-party-lights off, of course. 😅)

Perfect in every way for myself and a colleague while attending a conference. Slight downside was the noise from the street in the room without a glazed window. Only one key for sockets/wifi is possibly a problem for people sharing the accommodation who have independent schedules, but having access to the library in the building - cool and welcoming - made it workable for us. Creative and thoughtful optional breakfast was a wonderful bonus.

Enviable location 50 meters from the bridge that connects Syracuse to the beautiful island of Ortigia. The house is spacious and well furnished. Tidy and cleanliness everywhere. Two bathrooms and a bright mezzanine bedroom. Well-stocked kitchen with everything you need to prepare and consume food. Ortigia doesn't need any reviews....sunny and unique.

Very spacious rooms with 3 balconies and all you need to feel at home. Easy for cooking and relaxing when not touring Siracusa. A larger grocery store is 3 blocks away. Ortigia is lovely but would be tough with a car, so the private gated parking area and wide streets are a big plus, also the location is great for walking: >10m to Ortigia, 5m to the cathedral, 15m to the archeological park and museum. Many good restaurants and cafes between you and Ortigia (try Agape!), as well as of course on Ortigia. Siracusa has a long, long history (we read "Sicily" by Norwich while touring Sicily) and Gabriella and her husband are full of knowledge and recommendations. Their house book was most complete. Be sure to do the walk less traveled along the east side of Ortigia for sea wall crashing waves and to enjoy a bottle of wine on the rocks. Thanks much Gabriella!

We had a great time at Giangiacomo's place! Fantastic location with direct access to the sea. Very calm! Perfect for some relaxing days! We had no car. We took a taxi from Siracusa to the house and used the bikes for grocery shopping during our stay (there's a litte shop 10 minutes away). Giangiacomo and his girlfriend were very nice hosts and always helpful.

Wonderful hosts with an amazing property in an ideal location. We didn't want to leave .... ever! :) Ada was fantastic from booking through check out. They offered fabulous recommendations and a beautiful home with the best of everything, including washer & dryer and valet parking! We cannot wait to return!! Highly recommended!!!

The place was great. Host was great with communication and the place was perfect, has the basics, but we didn't spend much time in the room. Everything was clean, a great view, and excellent location. Would definitely recommend, especially if you have a car to park, it's right next to the parking garage.
