We cannot say enough good things about Christian’s Chateau! The scenery was breathtakingly beautiful and made for a very peaceful start to our month long Europe trip. We loved greeting their horse and chickens each day and waking up in the bucolic countryside. It was the perfect gateway to Normandy and had everything you could possibly need for a memorable stay. The bedrooms were huge and beyond comfortable and you literally have an entire castle to yourself which makes you feel like royalty! The decor is whimsical and Victorian and adds to the charm and homeyness Christian certainly treated us like royalty too; he answered all of our questions in a timely manner, gave great area recommendations, and even left us a basket of delicious croissants for lunch! We relished the peace and quiet of this Airbnb and feeling like we could truly rest and escape the hustle and bustle. Thanks for being an amazing host and making our time in France so wonderful, Christian! :)

The house was beautiful, very peaceful and provided everything we needed during our stay My brother and I stayed to be close to Carentan Hospital to visit our father, the journey was easy and we made use of the Baguette machine most days. Yohann was a very good host and answered any queries promptly. Will certainly be visiting again.

What a wonderfully peaceful place to stay. It was great sitting outside in the morning having a coffee listening to the birds singing and the church bells ringing. It was also nice to have access to the gardens with a swimming pool, tennis court and table tennis. We were holidaying to visit the various D-Day beaches and museums which were all within a short drive. The property is well appointed with everything you could need. Arnaud & Jessica were friendly and helpful and would respond to any questions within minutes.

Particularly well equipped house (kitchen, garden), children were happy with the swing and the arcade terminal. It is also very well located, quiet and close to Omaha Beach. The convenience store is just a few minutes' walk to do extra shopping. Thank you Béatrice for the tips and responsiveness in our exchanges!

We had an amazing stay at Regine and Eric’s idyllic property, they could not have done more to make us feel welcome. The property is bursting with character and has all necessary facilities. The grounds are beautiful and the swimming pool was the icing on the cake. We can’t wait to return. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We spent Christmas in the house. The house is spacious and the kitchen is very well equipped. There is plenty of space. The fireplace worked perfectly. The location is very quiet but not too remote. Bakeries, supermarkets etc. are all easily accessible by car.

We had a great weekend at Nicolas' cottage! The house is really spacious and very pleasant to live in. Nicolas came to welcome us and show us around the house. We really appreciated the little attention to our dog (bowl available and suggestion of walks!). We slept very well, in the quiet of the countryside. Thank you Nicolas for the kindness of his welcome!

Very good stay in a beautiful villa that exactly matches the description. The most covered and heated pool, a pleasant garden and activities for everyone. The hosts are very nice and welcoming. we highly recommend this beautiful villa for gatherings with family or friends.

We had a great time with the family. Stephan welcomed us very warmly with a great island meal. Very large, and spacious accommodation, it offers a lot of activities, billiards / foosball / barbecue..... The jaccouzi is a big plus. I highly recommend!!:)

The cottage was everything advertised and more. Beds were very comfortable; literature was provided for local attractions, groceries restaurants; emergency contacts, etc. Loved the horses on their breeding farm, and the serene rural setting - just the perfect distance from everything we came to see. Our gracious host, Venessa, was bilingual and spoke English, which made communicating with her much easier. The kitchen as well as the entire cottage was beautifully furnished with everything we needed. She had even provided games, and other children items -which we didn’t need - but we appreciated seeing the details given to the needs of visiting families. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to enjoy the pool or hot tub, but would have enjoyed spending time at both amenities, given more time for our trip. I would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone desiring to travel to the Normandy area of France.

A responsive and available host. A spacious accommodation and very well equipped to spend time in the rental (swimming pool, ping pong, pétanque, billiards...). Outside, the village is quiet and the sea is quite close.

Wonderful house conducive to good times with friends/family. Lots of equipment available, especially for children and older children. Dom is a great host, go for it.

Sandrine and Yves were the perfect hosts from the initial booking up until we left. Nothing was too much trouble, they provided great recommendations for local restaurants. The house was perfect for our needs and exactly as advertised. The surroundings were very peaceful, we had a great week’s stay at La Blanchere. We will definitely be back to stay again.

The house is beautiful, practical and very cozy. The covered terrace is wonderful for enjoying breakfast outside and also for staying outside longer in the evening. The landing beaches are easy to reach. In Bayeux, there are very good bakeries and all shops. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and can absolutely recommend the house!

Beautiful house with stunning views. Superb decoration. Extremely well-equipped house with all the comforts for a memorable stay. "The Sound of the Waves" is aptly named. A true haven of peace. Great hosting by Florence who will give you plenty of good advice (remember to follow her instructions for access to the house!). Excellent welcome for dogs which is a big plus for me. Great spot for our family to explore Normandy and the D-Day Beaches. The place was spacious, clean and had a great balance of farmhouse charm and modern amenities.

The space is BETTER than the photos! If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat, this is the place. Centrally located to many D-Day museums and beaches, but away from the busy city. Easy drive to Grandcamp-Maisey for all your needs. Christine and Mark were wonderful hosts who greet you personally and welcome you to their space. They sat with us and other guests in the evening to share experiences and chat in the patio area. Could not recommend more!

We had a great time at the gite Cottage du Marais. The house is very beautiful and well decorated with all amenities. A central point to visit the beautiful landing beaches in Normandy. Bernard is very welcoming.

The apartment matches the description and photos in every way. In addition, everything is in excellent condition and very clean (both the general condition, the shower, the kitchen and the appliances). Elisa is very friendly and responsive. Very practical: the national road is 2 minutes from the accommodation, so you can quickly reach the historical points to visit. Thank you, Elisa! 😁

Small wedding weekend on the Saint-Lô side. The listing was completely in line with the listing description and photos. Perfect for our couple, a 20-minute walk from the party hall. The welcome was very warm, thank you very much. We will be happy to visit the area again.
