This is THE MOST amazing location. Pictures do not do this place justice. It felt like we were staying in a Jane Austen novel. Christian and his wife were the sweetest, most patient and helpful hosts. The place was SPOTLESS, the atmosphere was completely idyllic. It was better than expected, we couldn't believe it when we arrived. This was the true, original kind of Airbnb experience. Personal, comfortable, local. Do not hesitate to book. We wanted to just stay and rest and hang out here for a week. Christian went above and beyond to help us when we had some issues with our car. They stopped by to say goodbye and see us off. It will be our favorite memory from our trip .

The house was beautiful, very peaceful and provided everything we needed during our stay My brother and I stayed to be close to Carentan Hospital to visit our father, the journey was easy and we made use of the Baguette machine most days. Yohann was a very good host and answered any queries promptly. Will certainly be visiting again.

L'appartement correspond en tout points à la description et aux photos. De plus tout est en excellent état et très propre(aussi bien l'état général, que la douche, la cuisine et l'électroménager). Elisa est très sympathique et réactive. Très pratique : la nationale qui se trouve à 2 minutes du logement, on rejoint donc très rapidement les points historiques à visiter. Merci Elisa ! 😁

What a wonderfully peaceful place to stay. It was great sitting outside in the morning having a coffee listening to the birds singing and the church bells ringing. It was also nice to have access to the gardens with a swimming pool, tennis court and table tennis. We were holidaying to visit the various D-Day beaches and museums which were all within a short drive. The property is well appointed with everything you could need. Arnaud & Jessica were friendly and helpful and would respond to any questions within minutes.

Maison particulièrement bien équipée (cuisine, jardin), les enfants se sont fait plaisir avec la balançoire et la borne d'arcade. Elle est de plus très bien située, au calme et à proximité immédiate d'Omaha Beach. La supérette à quelques minutes à pieds permet de faire des courses d'appoint. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille. Stephan nous a très bien accueilli avec un excellent repas des iles. Logement très grand, et spacieux, il propose beaucoup de d'activités, billard / babyfoot / barbecue..... Le jaccouzi est un gros plus. Je recommande vivement !! :)

We really enjoyed staying at Veronique's place. It was a cozy and a quaint, yet beautiful space with a nice scent/fragrance, and all of the items/amenities that we needed for our two-night stay near Omaha Beach. The kitchen was very well-stocked, with almost anything that you could need, from honey to jams and preserves. Veronique brings fresh croissants and bread to the room each day; the fridge was pre-stocked with orange juice, several varieties of milk, and yoghurt, as well as butters and ham and cheese, and eggs. We managed to not only eat a great breakfast each day but also to have lunch from the supplied bread and ham and butter. This went above and beyond our expectations - and it was a huge plus, because it is a rural area and a drive would be required to get to a bakery or to town. We also really enjoyed the bathrobes, the very comfortable bed, and the lovely linens on the bed. Everything was convenient and comfortable. The water pressure excellent and lots of hot water.

The cottage was everything advertised and more. Beds were very comfortable; literature was provided for local attractions, groceries restaurants; emergency contacts, etc. Loved the horses on their breeding farm, and the serene rural setting - just the perfect distance from everything we came to see. Our gracious host, Venessa, was bilingual and spoke English, which made communicating with her much easier. The kitchen as well as the entire cottage was beautifully furnished with everything we needed. She had even provided games, and other children items -which we didn’t need - but we appreciated seeing the details given to the needs of visiting families. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to enjoy the pool or hot tub, but would have enjoyed spending time at both amenities, given more time for our trip. I would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone desiring to travel to the Normandy area of France.

Un hôte à l'écoute et disponible. Un logement spacieux et très bien équipé pour passer du temps dans la location (piscine, ping-pong, pétanque, billard...). À l'extérieur, le village est calme et la mer est assez proche.

Merveilleuse maison propice aux bons moments entre amis/famille. Pleins d’équipements à disposition notamment pour les enfants et grands enfants. Dom est un super hôte , foncez les yeux fermés.

Vous pouvez réserver les yeux fermés. Tout est conforme aux descriptions de l'annonce. Ruth la concierge des lieux est très sympathique et accueillante. Elle propose une prestation repas au rapport qualité prix imbattable.

Très beau logement pour un weekend entre amies ! Sandrine et son conjoint nous on bien accueilli et le lieu est très bien situé pour profiter de la Suisse Normande. La piscine et le jacuzzi sont bien entretenus, toutefois cet espace n'était pas privatif comme indiqué sur l'annonce, il faut réserver son créneau pour pouvoir en profiter. Lieu très calme, vaisselle très jolie, espace extérieur bien aménagé, lits confortables et architecture magnifique !

Logement très fonctionnel et propre, plus grand que sur les photos, hôtes très accueillants, ne manque rien pour un séjour tranquille, cadeaux gourmands de qualité à l'arrivée, très bonne literie, canapé confortable, à recommander, merci Patricia et Stéphane pour votre gentillesse et discrétion, Christine, Philippe et Jam.

We enjoyed a couple of nights at this lovely accommodation. Hosts very welcoming. Ideal location for visiting D Day beaches. Lovely breakfast each morning with homemade delicious cake. Maison magnifique avec une vue à couper le souffle. Superbe décoration. Maison extrêmement bien équipée avec tout le confort pour passer un séjour inoubliable. « Le Bruit des Vagues » porte très bien son nom. Un vrai havre de paix. Super accueil de Florence qui vous donnera pleins de bons conseils (pensez notamment à bien suivre ses instructions pour l’accès à la maison !). Excellent accueil pour les chiens ce qui est un gros gros + pour moi. On reviendra avec grand plaisir. Merci !!

We had a short but truly lovely stay! A perfect place for our family--we could all spread out a bit after a week sharing hotel rooms. Loved the location--the views were charming. Proximity to Bayeux was excellent--less than a five minute drive to the town center parking lots. Very clean, clear instructions, and thoughtfully stocked kitchen (though we didn't cook!). We'd definitely return. Thank you for a great stop on our road trip.

The space is BETTER than the photos! If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat, this is the place. Centrally located to many D-Day museums and beaches, but away from the busy city. Easy drive to Grandcamp-Maisey for all your needs. Christine and Mark were wonderful hosts who greet you personally and welcome you to their space. They sat with us and other guests in the evening to share experiences and chat in the patio area. Could not recommend more!

A wonderful place to stay in rural Normandy. Jean-Francois is an excellent, friendly & helpful host. La Baronnie offers everything you need for a peaceful getaway, with excellent outdoor space to complement the cosy lounge and kitchen/diner. Gouvets is a lovely quiet village with nice walks, and well located for the major sights and attractions of Normandy

Easy to walk to town where there are great restaurants All bedrooms and bathrooms superb. Kitchen very good and lounge areas perfect
