Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Ironwood Township

We came up with our side by side and it was perfect location. The home was clean and comfortable and everything we needed. Next time we come up we will stay here again.

Wes is working hard on a house with lots of potential. Bed was comfortable and house decorated from your childhood memories.

We enjoyed our stay! Close to Lake Superior and the Porcupine Mountains where we hiked. Comfortable beds and living area. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook at home.

Biker Bunkhouse Great spot for four weary bikers. The house and garage were a perfect place for us to hang our hats and park our bikes. Good variety of places to eat - the Pines Cafe was great. Lori took good care of us and was a fantastic host.

My group has been cross-country skiing at ABR for more than 20 years. We like to rent a house on the trails. This was our first time at Saari House. The second week in March was late in the season for skiing, but we skied in the mornings and snowshoed in the afternoons. Being right off the Blueberry Bluffs trails was nice. The house is charming, with lots of natural light. There is a well-equipped kitchen and a dining room table that seats 6. There is just one bathroom but that was fine for our group of four women. One bedroom is on the main floor, off the cozy living room. The second floor has the second bedroom, plus an extra room with a pull-out couch. It was nice to have plenty of large towels, and a washer/dryer in the bathroom. There is a small wooden deck around the front of the house. You enter through a mud room with plenty of room to store your boots and hang clothes. We look forward to a visit here next winter!

My stay was absolutely wonderful! Karen was incredibly kind and proactive, providing clear and helpful instructions well in advance, which made check-in and navigating the space a breeze. The apartment itself was spotless and well-maintained, offering a comfortable and relaxing environment. Best of all, the location was perfect—within walking distance to everything I needed, from shops and restaurants to local attractions. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Loved our week at the cabin! We went hiking most of the days and lucked out with the weather the first half of the week. We spent our downtime in the cabin playing games and doing lots of puzzles. The best part was witnessing all of the wildlife that we saw down by the Marengo river such as deer, coyotes, and our favorite: the mama black bear and her cubs! Would love to relax here again!

The house sits on about 20 acers of open land with a scenic path you can hike for about half a mile without leaving the property. It is super quiet. There is a screened gazebo you can relax in, listen to the birds and watch the subset. Easy way to fully enjoy the outdoors. Lots of parks to visit with a few miles drive.

Ewelina’s place was the perfect setting for a quick weekend in nature. Ewelina was incredibly responsive and helpful. This cozy apartment was spotless upon arrival, comfortable, and was stocked with more than I could ever need. The attention to detail was evident; I cannot recommend this place enough.

This is my second time staying at Chris' Air BnB. We had another great stay! My son pointed out how clean the place was. It is well stocked--the beds comfortable, and WI-FI is solid. The apartment is conveniently located 20 minutes from the porkies, 1 hour from Ironwood, and 50 minutes from Houghton. Ontonagon is an idyllic/sleepy village. Make sure you have breakfast at Syls and coffee at Connie's :). I plan on making Chris' place a yearly tradition.

I splurged and am happy I did. I'll quite possibly return here. It should be noted their are a lot of stairs and the bedroom loft has a steep staircase. This could be challenging for any mobility issues. That said I loved the place and it is really well built and a lot of attention to detail, everything you need and none of what you don't. Smartly appointed.

Kaye’s place was great. Smooth check in, just like the instructions said. The place is just like the pictures. Walkable to many spots for food or drinks. If you can’t walk everything is less than a 5 minute drive. Peaceful & quiet neighborhood. It’s about 1-2 blocks from Lake Superior can walk over to watch sunset. Would book again. Parking right in the driveway.

Perfect location. Plenty of parking for our snowmobile trailer. We enjoyed being able to ride our sleds straight from the property to the trail. Convenient location to restaurants/entertainment. We had a little confusion figuring out what unit was ours but the host was helpful and responsive. My only complaint is the bed frames were more wobbly than we are used to. Otherwise our stay was wonderful. We would stay again!

We stayed two nights, mid-week, and found Erin’s place perfect for our needs. The views of the lake cannot be beat, we walked to dinner each night (and back for ice cream once!) and the area is charming. The unit is exactly as described. It was comfortable, well maintained and had everything we needed. Highly recommend and we will definitely stay again!

Anna's apartment was absolutely beautiful. It was so clean. There are cute ice trays in the freezer which I very much enjoyed. The apartment is very bright and beautiful with it's tall ceilings. The apartment is next to a bar, but there is a noise machine and a TV in the bedroom to help with noise, that wasn't even that bad. I will definitely be recommending her place to anyone who plans on going to the Chequamegon Bay area.

This was a great place to stay for our end of the season ski trip. A close 2-minute walk to the chalet. There is a lift even closer, but it wasn't running, presumably because our stay was the last weekend of the ski season. The condo was clean, tidy, and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and cozy. Myron was super helpful and responded to messages within minutes. Being April, it wasn't cold enough to warrant using the hot tub, but it looked great. He offered to let us check out later since the cleaning crew wasn't arriving right at 11:00. Much appreciated! So much nicer to change in his condo rather than the chalet before our drive home. Looking forward to booking this condo again for our annual Michigan ski trip next winter!

We stayed during a snowstorm that dumped a foot of snow and Wendy made it really easy to add an extra night to the stay

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was just as she described it and it was a homey stay for us while we enjoyed a weekend of skiing. We really liked having a fire in the evenings and there was space for us to dry our clothes from the day. The only bummer was having people stay above us. The floors were very creeky, but ear plugs helped with that while sleeping. Overall, we were happy with our choice to stay here and would definitely do it again.

Sarah communicated well and followed up. we had one small problem with water pressure and she responded immediately and had the problem fixed right away.
