Holiday rentals with lake access in Inverness County

The house is modern and lovely with large windows and a deck looking out on the water. The house is large and filled with light, it’s clean and attractive and comfortable. The host John is highly responsive, answers all questions very quickly. It is 1 mile from town which makes it very convenient, and it is also very private and quiet.

The home is extremely spacious and large, great separation for families and friends. Beds were ultra comfortable, location is great and neighbor very quiet, we enjoyed our brief stay.

As I unloaded my bags from the car Michael came out and greeted me. He explained the rules of the property and a little bit about the surrounding area as well as offering up the use of the use of the fire pit, canoes and picture perfect lake. That was the last time I saw him because they give you complete and total privacy. Highlights include - Fast internet and full list of streaming services already set up - Natural spring water from the taps - Laundry - Kierug coffee and a perculator - Very clean house. My only regret was to not be able to spend more time on this beautiful property. Too many activities planned. 10/10 would rent again.

We had an amazing one-month stay, the house's highlights are: Well-located residence for discovering Cape Breton Island and its surroundings. Very quiet place and away from neighbors, just across the marina. Beautiful residence, very clean, full of beautiful windows, comfortable and well air-conditioned Outdoor fire pit and pergolas were very much appreciated. All services and restaurants are less than a kilometer away Nature is very present all around the house (deer, foxes, squirrels, crabs, cormorants, herons, blue jay, kingfisher, etc.). Points to consider: No curtain in the master bedroom. No mosquito nets in any of the windows, so you'll have to choose between mosquitoes or air conditioning. Dining table for only 6 people seated (listed; maximum of 8 guests). Very poorly equipped kitchen Many bulbs are burned out indoors and outdoors and none A big thank you to our hosts for the stay!

This place was spectacular. I have been to many cabins and cottages, this one has proven to be one of the best if not the best. Exceptionally spacious with two cabins on a large private property over looking a breathtaking view of the lake. The hosts are very hospitable and accommodating. They even left small gift baskets that did not go unnoticed. It's everything you could want in a vacation. My only word of caution is it could get a little hot. There's no airconditioning as the listing accurately describes, however fans have been provided. We traveled in August and at times it could get uncomfortable but tolerable. With the windows open you usually get a good breeze during the nighttime.

This was a great place to stay! If you enjoy privacy and listening to nature this is the place to be.

Lovely condo. Had everything. Conveniently located. Beautiful view. Several outdoor seating areas which we loved. We would highly recommend this to anyone!

We have been coming to Baddeck for many years, and this time we were fortunate to find Kristine’s place. Everything about the place was perfect—the stunning view, the immaculate house, and most of all Kristine’s wonderful family. They felt like my own by the end of our stay, and we will most definitely be coming back. Kristine thought of every little detail to make us feel at home, from the zillion channel TV to the coffee ready to be perked.

Kirk and Kelley were very welcoming and lovely. The cottage was easy to locate and had some stunning views of the mountains and the lake. Thank you for hosting us and would indeed return for another get away in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at Kris's place. The home is immaculate, well-appointed, and cozy. The lake itself is beautiful: we swam every day. We also visited close-by ocean beaches and waterfalls. It was the perfect combination of relaxing and exciting.

Everything at the cottage was fantastic; we felt right at home. There were eight of us, and the house had enough space for us all and enough bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked and had all the appliances that you need. It was a great stay, and I recommend it to anyone

A lovely, modern home with a perfect lake view and access to the water! We really enjoyed the design of the home, with tons of windows (but don't stay here if the thought of things watching you from the woods freaks you out! But nothing is watching you...). The living/kitchen area is open and airy, with sliding patio doors that open toward the lake and a deck. Nice wood-burning fireplace. Very functional kitchen, easy to cook in. Well-separated bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms would make this great for a family (or just 2 people, as we were). Infloor heating is nice. Kayaks and other outdoor things available. No TV, but we were OK with that (and used our computer and the fast internet connection when we wanted to watch something). We had not been to Cape Breton before and liked this location - 10 minutes to Baddeck and about 1.5 hrs. to the south end of Cape Breton Highlands National Park (either west or east coast). Lots of hiking near-by, appreciated the host's ideas on that.

Definitely deserves the Super Host status. Would recommend to anyone.

Great place! Location was beautiful and house was clean and tidy!! Had a comfortable stay!

just an amazing spot, couldn't get any closer to the water. so private, peaceful. the front screen porch just makes for the best atmosphere to see the sunset at night over the lake. Angela was so helpful and very easy to deal with. I just absolutely loved the spot and the water's clean. the beach is nice. great for walking morning or night. really enjoyed this place. highly recommend 10 out of 10 great spot for family with kids too. big yard swimming right there fishing ideal for a summer vacation
