We were in Linlithgow to visit family. It was the perfect location for us as we wanted to be within easy walking distance of the town centre. Although very central to a busy town the apartment was very quiet with an allocated parking space. The high street/train station is a 5 minute walk. The apartment was very clean and spacious, and the kitchen was exceptionally well equipped. Good choice of bars, cafes and a Tesco within 5-10mins walk. The canal runs behind the apartment which is a lovely walk. Excellent communication from Jenny throughout. Thanks for hosting us Jenny, we hope to be back!

The apartment is large and spacious, very clean, has everything you need, the kitchen is well equipped, the second bathroom is a little small but overall a very cozy house in an extremely quiet residential area and well served by transportation to quickly reach every part of the city. My rating is absolutely positive!

We had a comfortable clean stay, Andy was very attentive and helpful. We found the area is best reached by car.

We had a wonderful stay. It was peaceful and relaxing. Kitchen had everything needed, bed and sofa were very comfy and we loved the wood burner. We brought wood from the purple shop ( dog friendly and well stocked!) and had fires in the evening. Beautiful beaches in easy walking distance. we loved it and hope to be back :)

The apartment was in a prime location and was the perfect space for our 4 days in Edinburgh. It was clean, spacious, and had everything we could have needed during our stay. Martin was a wonderful host who took the time to show us how things worked as well as some history about Edinburgh itself. He gave us such great restaurant recommendations (Under the Stairs and Ghurka, both which were amazing) as well as recommendation on activities and places to visit. He helped convince us that St. Andrew’s was worth the trip and told us how to get there using public transportation. He could not have been nicer and his recommendations made our trip that much more special. Would absolutely stay here again when visiting Edinburgh. Thank you, Martin!

Peaceful and quiet location perfectly situated to explore the local area. Comfortable and well equipped home with multiple large / spacious living spaces and an extensive well maintained garden.

A home away from home ❤️ The house was lovely, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. I was travelling with parents and a small child - so split levels meant everyone could have their own space and a big communal area on the ground floor which was perfect for us all. Location was great. A short cab ride into town, but walkable too. Close by to Arthur’s Seat, which is a must to do while in Edinburgh. Karen and Carina are amazing hosts, very responsive and went above and beyond for us. Would highly recommend! Thank you.

I have no word that truly captures this place. It is centrally located for folks who want to explore the highlands, lowlands and anywhere in between. The home was SO cozy and Maggie welcomed us like family, sharing her local knowledge of the best places to visit, great scenic routes to get there, and absolutely THE best restaurants around. The home had comfy bedding, a cozy living room complete with wood burning stove for those chilly nights, and a oversized tub to soak away the day. Maggie even had milk and orange juice in the refrigerator waiting for our coffee and tea. The scenery is second to none, surrounded by picturesque hills and a view of the Loch. I could stay here forever.

One of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed - both the beauty of the surroundings and the house itself with gorgeous views and unique design and decor. Cozy living room with great view. Basically two master bedrooms. Great kitchen and dining room. Nice deck if weather permits. Close to railway walking path. I even caught four brown trout from shore just across the lake. Highly recommend!

The Shiel House was an absolutely stunning and massive property. We visited as a large group of 8 on a golf trip, and this was the perfect Airbnb. It was beyond spacious, with all the amenities a large group would need for a week long stay. The location was great for us with popular golfing destinations like St Andrews and Gleneagles within driving distance, as well as a litany of local courses. We also were within driving distance of Edinburgh with plenty of fine dining options. Tim was a very gracious and helpful host who provided clear instructions on locating the property, as well as a fun treasure hunt that takes you around the property and to local spots. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with the property and the host!!

This, by far, is the best stay I have visited. Marie is the perfect host, communicated in an exceptional manner, and provided the loveliest place to centre our stay in Edinburgh. From check in to check out, I felt welcome, comfortable, and well situated. Buses were frequent to go anywhere we needed and the accommodation was a welcome resting place after a long day of exploring. I have stayed many places but Marie's provided both the necessities and little extras that made this a fondly remembered experience rather than just a place to lay my head. I recommend this to anyone who wishes to visit and will be recommending it to family and friends who wish to visit in the future.

Izzy's home is a lovely retreat. It is in a very quiet location, convenient for everything and within walking distance of a Morrisons Superstore. A few minutes drive from the railway station with free parking and with frequent services into the centre of Edinburgh. It has everything you need, including a washing machine and tumble dryer. The internet is reliable and very fast. We had a very comfortable stay and would certainly stay there again.

Thomas was a great host and his apartment is how it's described. Really good space, clean and very comfy with lovely views over the country side. Would highly recommend this place.

I have been to Edinburgh a few times and my daughter wanted to go back for her high school graduation present, so I really wanted to make this trip special. We found Eliana's place and my daughter immediately said that was the one, so we booked it. This apartment is beautiful and looks even better in person. It's super charming and very roomy, which is rare in Edinburgh. The location is perfect, just steps away from so many places for coffee and food, with a Boots just up the road a few steps as well. We went in the middle of the tourist season, so there was some noise at night, but nothing out of the ordinary or unexpected for being so close to everything. Eliana was a fantastic host. She was super communicative and very proactive in reaching out to make sure our check-in and check-out were seamless. Overall, everything helped me give my daughter the special trip that I was hoping for and she has requested that we stay here again the next time we visit. Thank you again, Eliana!

Could not rate this property high enough!!The communications were clear, proactive, friendly and very helpful. The place was spotless, spacious and very tastefully decorated. The view was spectacular of the water. Beds and couches were comfy. The guide for local attractions and restaurants was extremely helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

We absolutely loved our two night stay here. The unit is so clean and well put together, the beds were the most comfortable we have slept in for our whole trip. Lovely touches with some supplies left for us and having the use of a washing machine was also another big tick. The location is amazing, right in the middle of it all, walking distance to everything. We wished that we could have stayed longer to take in all the sites properly. We hope to return one day.

Hidden gem. Surprisingly quiet and peaceful, being situated in the middle of the park (yet still in town). Lovely home, spacious. Host is super responsive to questions. Easy walk to a pub for some great food and drinks.

This place far exceeded our expectations!!! One of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed out. The comfort of the home is amazing and the decor is fun yet homie, yet the architecture was left to amaze and was well preserved. Felt like home right away. The location was great and was an easy walk to the Royal mile and everything else nearby. If returning to Edinburgh I’m booking here again.

We spent two nights at The Butler's Basement for my husband's birthday and it was an ideal base. We did have an issue getting in as the lockbox didn't work, but her son came down and resolved the issue. The apartment was very clean and in a great area - some lovely bars and restaurants that we preferred to spend time in, more than the busier side of Edinburgh. Gemma was very responsive to my messages and we also had a bottle of fizz in the fridge as well as some short bread and chocolate. It might be an idea to put a small bottle of milk in the fridge, as we did have tea and coffee provided but didn't want to buy a whole pint of milk to make a couple of drinks. However it certainly wasn't an issue that would stop us staying again!

We spent a few days in Edinburgh in June and Rachel's AirBnB was perfect - clean, comfortable and relaxing. We knew we were within a few minutes of Holyrood and the end of the Royal Mile so walking up to the castle was easy. But we were also only a few minutes walk to all the major bus services which we used to get around the city. We would come again.
