Apartment holiday rentals in Independence

Mary Graces listing is probably one of the best, if not the best AirBnb I have stayed in. She was very friendly, and responsive. The unit is a FROG or Full Residence over Garage, but had all the amenities of an apartment. Comfortable couch, big television, good AC, stocked kitchen, and comfy bed (on the softer side, but that's what I like). Bathroom was the crown jewel, I'm envious of the shower head, and amazing water pressure, my Son enjoyed taking baths in the deep tub. Mary was very sweet and even sent us local recommendations of things to do. If you're visiting Worlds of Fun, you can't get any closer, don't think twice just book!

From the moment I walked into Cheryl's place I knew I was in the right place. I loved everything about it. I was in Overland Park for a convention and ended up working long days. It was so nice to come home to such a peaceful and well-appointed space. The apartment is very spacious and has every thing you would ever need. It is within walking distance of downtown Overland Park, which is a lovely town with great places to eat and get coffee. Cheryl is a very friendly and attentive host. I loved that she cares about meeting her guests and I enjoyed my converstion with her and her husband. All around this apartment is a gem and I look forward to returning. Thank you Cheryl!

Lovely stay! Beautiful place.

You CANNOT beat the location for the price. Overall this rental was exactly what we were looking for as far as being close to the river market but having a kitchen and try and save a bit instead of a hotel. We had some issues with cleanliness but they weren’t egregious and I got the impression that it was likely an accidental miss by the cleaners. A few things to note: the building is historic and not only are there stairs plentiful but they are steep and a little uneven. It was fine (if a workout) but if you have any mobility issues at all, friend this one isn’t for you. Also, the building is primarily an office building and directly below is an office that had people working at 9am on Saturday and when I say that I could hear every word they said from my bed I am not exaggerating but ironically the street was super quiet most of the time. Lastly, either ask for extra towels or bring your own bc they give you a minimum and no toiletries. For the money it was ultimately great for us!

Great price for a great stay. Fun little downtown area with lots of good food and shops. Great location! Host was responsive and helpful.

Kimmie’s place was PERFECT! We were there for a volleyball tournament and saved TONS on taking an Uber to the convention center. Everything was not only clean and comfortable, but there were extra goodies that we GREATLY appreciated! Kimmie was easily accessible and wonderful at communicating. I would HIGHLY recommend this place. Thank you SO MUCH Kimmie.

Beautiful stay and very quiet and secluded. Cindy is a wonderful host that was nice and had clear instructions on what to do to check in and checkout. Highly recommend this space.

This is a great little loft space for a weekend getaway. We stayed here as a group of 4 and the space worked out well. The couch was really comfortable and the shuffle board was fun to try our hand at. The space was very clean and felt newly renovated. The amenities are good but basic. We ran out of toilet paper so be prepared to bring that and shampoo/conditional/soap for the showers. Not a big deal and we were able to manage but wanted to note that for future guests. The location is quaint - we were able to walk to many shops and places to eat/drink.

This place is darling. It is a lot bigger than it looks in photos. I thought it would be tiny but it was the perfect size. They were totally accommodating and very communicative.

The apartment was comfortable and had all the amenities I needed. It’s a 2 block walk to The Plaza which has so much to do and is a great area to walk around. Street parking was very easy right in front of the building. I would absolutely stay here if I come back to Kansas City!

This place was absolutely amazing! It was super easy to find, and the location couldn’t have been better—close to so many great restaurants, cafes, and interesting spots to explore. Whether we were walking around or taking a quick ride, everything we needed was nearby. The host was equally fantastic—very communicative and incredibly responsive. Anytime we had a question or needed something, they got back to us right away and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. Overall, a perfect experience. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

This airbnb was just what we needed. Westport is such a great area in KC, and this was central to everything we did.

Angie was a great host and the apartment was just as described. My wife and I had a very comfortable stay there and would stay again if we ever need a place for a night or two in KC!

Great location with stuff to do in all directions (restaurants, bars, shops, museums). Very walkable! Trevor was easy to work with- even allowing early check in. Place was clean and cute. We enjoyed our stay!

We had a lovely stay here. It was close to everything we needed, but nicely tucked into a neighborhood. Great place if you’re traveling with littles! They were super accommodating and responsive!

Quaint, clean and quiet in a cool old with everything I needed. Ashley was great, super communicative and gave me all the info I ended up front.

Quaint and charming building in ideal location. Easy walk to restaurants and coffee as well as a quick walk to Music Hall, Bartle Hall, etc. There is no central air, but a window unit and on an 80 degree day, it kept up just fine. Water in the shower took a few minutes to get hot, but was plentiful after. Ashley was very responsive with communication and we would definitely stay again.

A beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood. Loved the beautiful front sunroom and park across the street.

We loved our stay at Abbeys! It was exactly what we needed for the weekend and we loved being able to walk everywhere that we needed to go. Great walkable dining and trails and very close to Whole Foods. Our dog was able to use a fully fenced backyard and we were so happy to have peace of mind with him in the home. Would love to stay again!
