This air-conditioned mini-sized wooden cabana on stilts is attached on one side to another "One World" rental unit. It has its own entrance and a pretty outside sitting area, complete with hammock. Inside the building you will find a comfortable twin bed with a bedside table as well as a toilet, wash basin and shower, separated from the sleeping area only by a curtain. Amber's Happy Place was truly amazing! You are a short distance from Placencia and in an area where you get some privacy and beach access. We originally thought we would want to be in the heart of Placencia but quickly realized that we would not have enjoyed it as much as where Amber's home is located. The inside is decorated in local art and has been tastefully done. All of the natural wood really adds to the place. We had all of the amenities that we needed and the air conditioning was able to keep us cool on those hot days. We did not want to leave! Thank you Amber's for letting us experience your amazing home! Can't wait to return!! Cheers!

I had a great stay at this Airbnb in Placencia. The area was quiet, relaxing, and close to local food spots and activities. The space was clean, comfortable, and just like the listing described. It truly felt like living like a local—laid-back, simple, and authentic. I felt safe the entire time, which was really important to me as a solo traveler. If you’re looking for a calm and cozy spot to recharge and experience Placencia like a local, I’d definitely recommend it.

Great place to stay in Placencia! Perfect location for walking to restaurants, the beach and the grocery store. We enjoyed having our daily siesta in the lovely air conditioning, but utilized the screened in patio for reading in the hammock and hanging clothes to dry. Nice bathroom and shower, comfortable bed as well. Highly recommend.

Mermaid Cottage & Pool on Azura Beach in Placencia

We liked the mermaid cottage a lot. We stayed at one of the tiny houses as well. I didn't realize that there is not a beach here though and the sand that is all around in the photos is not sand you can play in, it's just a dusting on top of the ground. And much of it had biting ants. So this was a beautiful place but not ideal for little kids (our 2 year old was with us). We spent our days down at the Bohemian in town which had a beach and pool. We loved the little plunge pool at the cottage though, it was very cute and a great way to cool off. If you are looking into their different accomodations, this is definitely the best one. This place is about a 15 minute drive into the town of Placencia. If you walk two properties down to the left there is a nice resort with a restaurant. Communication is very confusing but if you just talk to Jose it will be all good.

What a great place. CLEAN! I walked in and was so impressed with how clean it is that I booked the room again right then and there for the next weekend! It is located an easy and pleasant walk from the restaurants, beach and bars. The pool was so nice to have right there -- a quick dip in the mornings, another after getting back from whatever I was doing for the day, and another dip before bed. Chris supplied a towel for the pool, as well as nice cushions for the lounge chairs outside. Have I mentioned how clean the place is? Yes, I have, but it's worth noting again. Chris was super helpful with lining up transportation back to the airport. I was traveling alone (female, 57 years old) and felt perfectly safe at The Cashew Cabins. Would I stay there again? Absolutely!

We had a great family stay! Very responsive team and great amenities - View is spectacular and super clean. We loved Archie (the local dog team member) as well!!! We utilized the local chef service and they also stocked the fridge with items requested for us for our arrival. Would stay again!
